Do not use the instrument in residential areas and areas with a low-voltage power supply.
The LS 120 shaker is used in laboratories to shake and homogenize cuvette tests. The vibration unit
can shake up to 8 locked vials simultaneously. The ports are labeled 1–8. The cycle time of a
shaking process is 2 minutes. Refer to Figure 1.

Product components
Make sure that all components have been received. If any items are missing or damaged, contact the
manufacturer or a sales representative immediately.

Installation

Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section of the
document.
Install the instrument:
• In a clean, dry, level, well ventilated, temperature controlled location that does not receive direct
exposure to sunlight
• In a location where the power switch and power cord are visible and easily accessible
The instrument does not move with the suction cups installed. Make sure that the suction cups are
clean and free from damage. Use the supplied non-slip mat, if the suction cups lose their adhesion
on rough surfaces.
Operation

Use only the power supply that is specified for this instrument.

Do not grab on or in the vibration unit during the shaking procedure.
Do not install a vial during the shaking procedure.
Do not remove a vial during the shaking procedure.
Set the power switch to off and wait until the vibration unit and the fan to stop before any activity.
Obey these safety precautions:
• Do not use damaged glassware or apparatus. Discard all damaged equipment and replace it.
• Make sure that the vials are filled up to maximal 3/4.
Always do the steps that follow in the order shown:
1. Connect the plug-in power supply unit to a power socket.
2. Install the vials fully into the vibration unit (up to ground contact).
3. Set the power to on. The shaking procedure starts. The time will beep after two minutes and the
procedure stops.
4. Remove the vials.
5. Disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from the power socket.
The instrument can be used for shorter shaking times. Set the power switch to off any time to
interrupt the shaking procedure.
Maintenance

Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal protective
equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
CAUTION
Personal injury hazard. Broken glass can cause cuts. Use tools and personal protective equipment to
remove broken glass.
Clean the instrument
Keep the instrument clean to get continuous and accurate operation.
N O T I C E
Never use cleaning agents such as turpentine, acetone or similar products to clean the instrument.
N O T I C E
Do not leave visible moisture on the instrument. Moisture can penetrate and damage the electronics inside.
1. Set the instrument off and disconnect the plug-in power supply unit.
2. Clean the surface of the instrument with a soft, moist cloth and a weak soap solution.
3. Dry the surface of the instrument with a lint-free cloth.

Устройството за разклащане LS 120 се използва в лаборатории за разклащане и
хомогенизиране на съдържанието на епруветки. Вибрационният блок може да разклаща
едновременно до 8 епруветки. Портовете са означени от 1 до 8. Цикълът на разклащане е

Инсталиране

Инсталирайте инструмента:
• На чисто, сухо, добре проветрено място с контрол на температурата, което не се излага на
пряка слънчева светлина
• На място, където прекъсвачът и захранващият кабел са видими и леснодостъпни
Инструментът не трябва да се премества при поставени всмукателните чашки. Уверете се, че
всмукателните чашки са чисти и не са повредени. Използвайте доставената неплъзгаща
подложка, в случай че всмукателните чашки не прилепват към неравни повърхности.
