Sicherheitshinweise
Wir übernehmen auf die Glasverbindung eine Dichtigkeits-
gewährleistung nach unseren AGB, wenn nachstehende
Dinge beachtet werden:
• Füllen Sie das Aquarium vor dem Einrichten im Nass-
raum (Badezimmer/Waschküche etc.) für 48 Stunden
mit Wasser, um die Dichtigkeit zu prüfen. Beachten
Sie, dass das Becken nicht auf den Fliesen oder dem
Betonboden steht. Legen Sie ganzächig Styropor,
Schaumstoff, Teppichboden oder Ähnliches unter den
Glaskorpus.
• Im Reklamationsfall müssen Sie das Aquarium über
Ihren Zoohändler mit der Kaufquittung und einer
Beschreibung der Beanstandung an uns zurückleiten.
• Sie dürfen das Aquarium nie im gefüllten Zustand
bewegen.
• Bitte achten Sie beim Reinigen der Scheiben darauf,
dass die Verklebung nicht beschädigt wird, da sonst
das Becken undicht werden kann; dies gilt besonders
für Scheibenreiniger mit Klingen. Ebenso dürfen keine
toxischen Substanzen verwendet werden.
• Zur Aufstellung des Aquariums muss zwingend ein
spezieller Aquarienunterschrank verwendet werden.
Bei Aquarien ohne mitgelieferten, losen Unter-
rahmen (Kiesblende) muss eine im Zoofachhan-
del erhältliche Schaumstoff-Sicherheitsunterlage
zwischen Aquarium und Aufstelläche liegen, um
punktuelle Spitzen und damit verbundenen Glasbruch
zu vermeiden.
Bei Aquarien mit beigefügtem Unterrahmen
(Kiesblende) entfällt dies. In diesem Fall muss das
Aquarium in den Rahmen hinein gestellt werden. Die-
ser Rahmen dient auch als Kiesblende. Der Unterbau
muss stabil genug sein, um ein gefülltes Aquarium tra-
gen zu können (siehe nachstehende Gewichtstabelle).
Addieren Sie bitte schwere Dekorationsgegenstände
wie Steine, Holz etc. dazu. Das Aquarium muss plan
und ganzächig aufgestellt werden.
Bei Nichtbeachtung wird die Haftung für Glasbruch
und Folgeschäden ausgeschlossen!

Hinweise zur
Aquarienaufstellung
Neben den allgemeinen Sicherheitshinweisen sollten bei
der Aufstellung des Aquariums folgende Punkte beachtet
werden:
• Das Aquarium sollte auf eine feste, waagerechte und
wasserfeste Oberäche gestellt werden. Zu empfeh-
len ist hier die Verwendung von speziellen Aquarien-
möbeln. Mit einer Wasserwaage sollte einmal jährlich
nachgemessen werden, da sich Fußböden verändern
können.
• Das Aquarium sollte an einem geschützten und
sicheren Ort aufgestellt werden. Direkte Sonnenein-
strahlung sowie die Nähe von Wärmequellen wie der
Heizung sind zu vermeiden, da sonst die Gefahr der
Überhitzung bzw. einer gesteigerten Algenbildung
besteht.
• Stellen Sie das Aquarium nicht in der Nähe von
Elektrogeräten auf, die durch Spritzwasser beschädigt
werden könnten.
• Bei der Scheibenreinigung ist darauf zu achten,
dass die Verklebung nicht beschädigt wird. Bei der
Verwendung von Scheibenreinigern mit einer Klinge
ist besondere Vorsicht geboten.
• Es dürfen keine Reinigungsmittel mit toxischen
Inhaltsstoffen verwendet werden.
• Das Aquarienwasser muss vor der Inbetriebnahme
sch- und panzengerecht aufbereitet werden, z. B.
durch die Zugabe von Wasseraufbereitern.
Aquarienabdeckung
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG – Zum Schutz vor Verletzungen sind grund-
legende Sicherheitsvorkehrungen im Umgang mit der
Aquarienabdeckung zu beachten; darunter die folgenden:
1. Damit Sie viel Freude an diesem Produkt haben und
Sie alles verstehen, LESEN UND BEFOLGEN SIE
BITTE ALLE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE sowie alle
wichtigen Hinweise auf dem Gerät vor der Benutzung.
Andernfalls kann dieses Produkt beschädigt werden.
2. GEFAHR – In den folgenden Situationen sollten Sie
nicht versuchen, das Gerät selbst zu reparieren,
sondern es an einen autorisierten Kundendienst zur
Reparatur geben oder das Gerät entsorgen.
• Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen, greifen Sie NICHT
danach! Trennen Sie es erst vom Stromnetz, bevor
Sie es aus dem Wasser holen. Wenn elektrische Kom-
ponenten des Geräts nass werden, trennen Sie es
sofort vom Stromnetz.
• Gerät nach der Installation sorgfältig überprüfen. Es
darf nicht an das Stromnetz angeschlossen werden,
wenn Teile nass geworden sind, die nicht nass werden
dürfen.
• Benutzen Sie kein Gerät mit beschädigtem Netzkabel
oder beschädigtem Stecker oder wenn es nicht richtig
funktioniert, heruntergefallen ist oder anderweitig be-
schädigt wurde. Das Netzkabel dieses Gerätes kann
nicht ausgewechselt werden. Wenn das Kabel
beschädigt ist, sollte das Gerät entsorgt werden.
Schneiden Sie das Kabel niemals ab.
• Um die Möglichkeit auszuschließen, dass der Geräte-
stecker oder die Steckdose nass werden, sollte das
Gerät neben einer Wandsteckdose so aufgestellt
werden, dass kein Wasser auf Steckdose oder
Stecker tropfen kann. Eine „Tropfschleife“ (siehe
Abbildung) sollte zur Steckdose hin gebildet werden.
Die „Tropfschleife“ ist der Teil
des Netzkabels, der unter-
halb der Steckdose oder des
Anschlusses bei Verwendung
eines Verlängerungskabels
liegt. Damit wird verhindert,
dass Wasser das Kabel
entlangwandert und mit der
Steckdose in Berührung
kommt. Wenn der Stecker
oder die Steckdose nass
werden, schalten Sie die Sicherung oder den Strom-
kreisunterbrecher für das Gerät aus. Erst danach
das Netzkabel herausziehen und die Steckdose auf
Wasser überprüfen.
3. Wenn das Gerät bei oder in der Nähe von Kindern
benutzt wird, ist eine Aufsicht notwendig. Das Gerät ist
nicht für den Gebrauch durch Personen (einschließlich
Kindern) mit eingeschränkten körperlichen, sensori-
schen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder durch Perso-
nen mit wenig Erfahrung im Umgang mit technischen
Geräten geeignet, außer wenn diese Personen vor

der Nutzung des Gerätes entsprechende Bedienungs-
anweisungen erhalten oder sie unter Aufsicht einer
Person stehen, die für ihre Sicherheit verantwortlich
ist. Kinder sollten stets beaufsichtigt werden, damit sie
nicht mit dem Gerät herumspielen.
4. Um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, berühren Sie
keine sich bewegenden oder heißen Teile, wie z. B.
Heizer.
5. Grundsätzlich alle Geräte im Aquarium vom
Stromnetz trennen, die nicht benutzt werden,
bevor Teile ein- bzw. abgebaut werden und vor der
Reinigung. Ziehen Sie nie am Netzkabel, um den
Stecker aus der Steckdose zu ziehen. Immer am
Stecker anfassen und ziehen.
6. Dies ist eine nicht in Wasser eintauchbare Aquarien-
leuchte, die nur für das Anbringen auf dem Becken
bestimmt ist. Sie ist für den Einsatz auf Aquarien mit
Süß- oder Meerwasser mit einer max. Wassertem-
peratur von 35°C geeignet. Dieses Gerät nicht für
andere Wasserbecken oder Anwendungen einsetzen.
Die Verwendung von Anbauteilen, die nicht vom
Gerätehersteller empfohlen oder verkauft werden,
kann zu einem unsicheren Betriebszustand führen.
7. Dies ist ein Haushaltsgerät, das für den häuslichen
Gebrauch bestimmt ist und nur für den Gebrauch im
Innenraum geeignet ist. Installieren oder lagern Sie
das Gerät nicht dort, wo es der Witterung oder Tempe-
raturen unter dem Gefrierpunkt ausgesetzt ist.
8. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät sicher installiert ist,
bevor es in Betrieb genommen wird.
WARNUNG: Es darf nicht an das Stromnetz ange-
schlossen werden, wenn Teile nass geworden sind,
die nicht nass werden dürfen. Stellen Sie keine
Gegenstände auf die Abdeckung. Lassen Sie genug
Luftraum.
9. Lesen und befolgen Sie alle wichtigen Hinweise auf
dem Gerät.
10. Wenn ein Verlängerungskabel benötigt wird, muss
ein Kabel geeigneter Leistung benutzt werden. Ein
Verlängerungskabel mit geringerem Durchgangswi-
derstand als das Gerät kann sich überhitzen. Achten
Sie darauf, das Verlängerungskabel so zu verlegen,
dass man nicht darüber stolpert oder es herauszieht.
11. BEWAHREN SIE DIESE ANLEITUNG AUF. Zur
vollständigen Nutzung und zum Verständnis dieser
Abdeckung wird empfohlen, diese Anleitung gründlich
zu lesen und zu verstehen. Andernfalls kann dieses
Produkt beschädigt werden.
Montageanleitung
Abdeckung
Die im Set enthaltene Abdeckung besteht aus Rahmen
und Deckel, die bereits zusammengesteckt sind.
Rückansicht:
Lösen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme den Deckel vorsichtig
komplett vom Rahmen und führen Sie das Kabel der
Beleuchtung durch die dafür vorgesehene inneren Öffnung
auf der Rückseite des Deckels (Abb.1, 2).
Fügen Sie nun Deckel und Rahmen wieder zusammen
(Abb.3).
WARNUNG: Achten Sie darauf, dass alle Kabel nur durch
die dafür vorgesehenen Aussparungen geführt werden und
die Kabel nicht gequetscht oder beschädigt werden.

Recycling
Dieses Symbol steht für die getrennte Entsor-
gung von elektrischen und elektronischen
Artikeln (WEEE). Das bedeutet, dass diese
Produkte gemäß der europäischen Richtlinie
2012/19/EU recycelt oder demontiert werden
müssen, um Umweltschäden zu minimieren. Wenden
Sie sich für weitere Informationen an die zuständigen
Behörden. Elektronische Produkte, die nicht der Abfall-
trennung unterzogen werden, sind potenziell gefährlich für
die Umwelt und für die menschliche Gesundheit, da sie
gefährliche Substanzen enthalten können.
Ausstattung und Hinweise
Wasserstand im Aquarium
Füllen Sie das Aquarium bis maximal 2 Zentimeter unter-
halb des oberen Beckenrandes (überschreiten Sie diese
Einfüllhöhe nicht).
Erste Inbetriebnahme
Legen Sie die Abdeckung vorsichtig auf den Rand des
Aquariums. Achten Sie darauf, dass das elektrische Kabel
und der Stecker bei der Installation nicht nass werden.
WARNUNG: Schließen Sie die Abdeckung nicht an, wenn
sich Wasser auf Teilen bendet, die nicht nass werden
dürfen.
WARNUNG: Stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf die Abde-
ckung. Sorgen Sie für genügend freien Raum rund um die
Abdeckung.
An- und Abschalten der Abdeckung
Es ist empfehlenswert, die Beleuchtung mit dem Schalter
an- und auszuschalten oder eine Zeitschaltuhr zu benut-
zen.
Wartung
WARNUNG: Schalten Sie die Abdeckung immer aus
und ziehen Sie den Stecker heraus, wenn Sie sie
montieren, reparieren, warten oder aus einem anderen
Grund die Abdeckung abnehmen. Verwenden Sie nur
Original-Ersatzteile.
Reinigung der Aquarienabdeckung
• Halten Sie diese Abdeckung nicht unter ießendes
Wasser und tauchen Sie sie nicht unter Wasser.
• Außer der regelmäßigen Reinigung mit einem
feuchten Lappen (verwenden Sie niemals aggressive
chemische Produkte oder Reinigungsmittel) ist für
die Aquarienabdeckung keine besondere Wartung
erforderlich. Zur Entfernung von Kalkablagerungen
wird empfohlen, eine milde Säure wie Zitronensaft zu
verwenden. Danach sollte die Abdeckung gründlich
mit einem feuchten Lappen abgewischt werden, um
alle Rückstände zu entfernen.
• Es wird dringend empfohlen, sich immer an die
Sicherheitsvorkehrungen und die Vorgehensweisen zu
halten, die in den wichtigen Sicherheitshinweisen und
in den Montageanleitungen beschrieben werden.
Einrichtungstipps
Kies und Dekoration
Wenn Sie sich entschieden haben, wo der beste Platz für
Ihr Aquarium ist, können Sie es nun auf seine Bewohner
vorbereiten. Dazu müssen Sie Ihr Aquarium an den ge-
wünschten Platz stellen, da es im befüllten Zustand nicht
mehr bewegt werden darf.
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Becken selbst sauber und
trocken ist, bevor Sie beginnen.
1. Spülen Sie Kies, Felsen, Holz oder andere Gegen-
stände unter ießendem Wasser. Benutzen Sie
niemals Haushaltsreiniger, um das Becken oder
seinen Inhalt abzuspülen. Stellen Sie ein paar Felsen
gleichmäßig verteilt auf den Boden des Beckens.
2. Geben Sie den Kies hinzu. Schrägen Sie ihn von
hinten nach vorne ab, damit eine Illusion der Tiefe
entsteht. Gleichzeitig trägt diese Abschrägung dazu
bei, Abfälle vorne im Aquarium zu sammeln.

3. Rückwände schaffen schnell eine schöne Atmosphäre
im Aquarium und helfen, unansehnliche Schläu-
che, Kabel und Röhren zu verstecken. Es gibt viele
verschiedene Arten und Designs – von waschbarem
Plastik bis zu realistischen 3D-Felsen- oder Baumrin-
deneffekten.
Installation der elektrischen Geräte
4. Lesen Sie die Anleitungen zu jedem elektrischen Ge-
rät, bevor Sie sie im Becken positionieren. Verbinden
Sie noch keine Geräte mit dem Stromnetz.
5. Befüllen Sie Ihr Aquarium zur Hälfte mit Wasser.
Benutzen Sie beim Befüllen eine kleine Schale, die
Sie auf den Kies stellen. Damit verhindern Sie, dass
der Kies aufgewühlt und weggespült wird. Nun ist der
richtige Zeitpunkt, um Panzen in Ihr Aquarium zu
setzen.
6. Wenn Ihr Aquarium ganz bepanzt ist, nehmen Sie
Ihre Hände aus dem Wasser und trocknen sie gut ab,
bevor Sie die elektrischen Geräte mit dem Stromnetz
verbinden.

LED-Beleuchtungs-
system
In diesem Marina Set bendet sich ein modernes LED-
Beleuchtungssystem für Ihr Aquarium.
Diese Beleuchtung ist optimal ausgelegt für Ihre Fische
und Panzen. Mit einer Farbtemperatur von 6700 K fördert
es das gesunde Wachstum aller Panzen und Wasserbe-
wohner.
Im Gegensatz zu Energiesparlampen werden LED-
Lampen nicht mit gesundheitsschädlichen Stoffen wie z.B.
Quecksilber produziert.
Die LED-Lampen haben eine extrem hohe Lebensdauer.
Dank des niedrigen Energieverbrauchs ist das LED-
Beleuchtungssystem besonders schonend für die Umwelt
und bietet dank des Niederspannungsbetriebs und der
Wasserdichtigkeit zudem eine hohe Sicherheit sowohl
für die Fische als auch für die Personen während der
Wartungsarbeiten.
Bitte beachten Sie dennoch die unten genannten Sicher-
heitshinweise!
WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Lesen Sie zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit die Sicherheitshin-
weise genau durch und berücksichtigen Sie diese bei der
Nutzung des LED-Beleuchtungssystems.
1. Bei Beschädigung der Anschlussleitung oder des da-
zugehörigen Netzteils bitten wie Sie, die LED-Lampe
nicht wieder in Betrieb zu setzen. Kontaktieren Sie
stattdessen einen Fachmann oder Fachhändler.
2. Schneiden Sie das Kabel in keinem Fall durch.
3. Um die Möglichkeit auszuschließen, dass das
Steckernetzteil oder die Steckdose nass werden,
sollte das Gerät neben einer Wandsteckdose so
aufgestellt werden, dass kein Wasser auf Steckdose
oder Steckernetzteil tropfen kann. Eine „Tropfschlei-
fe“ (siehe Abbildung) sollte
zur Steckdose hin gebildet
werden. Die „Tropfschleife“
ist der Teil des Netzkabels,
der unterhalb der Steckdose
oder des Anschlusses bei
Verwendung eines Verlän-
gerungskabels liegt. Damit
wird verhindert, dass Wasser
das Kabel entlangwandert
und mit der Steckdose in Berührung kommt. Wenn
das Steckernetzteil oder die Steckdose nass werden,
schalten Sie die Sicherung oder den Stromkreis-
unterbrecher für das Gerät aus. Erst danach das
Steckernetzteil herausziehen und die Steckdose auf
Wasser überprüfen.
4. Sollte das Steckernetzteil feucht sein, ziehen Sie es
nicht einfach heraus, schalten Sie zuerst die Siche-
rung für die Steckdose ab.
5. Berühren Sie keine heißen oder beweglichen Teile,
um ein direktes Verletzungsrisiko zu vermeiden.
6. Bevor Sie die Beleuchtung zum Reinigen oder Ähnli-
chem abnehmen, ziehen Sie zunächst das Stecker-
netzteil aus der Steckdose.
7. Dieses LED-Beleuchtungssystem ist ausschließlich für
den Betrieb mit Aquarien zu nutzen. Verwenden Sie
dieses Beleuchtungssystem nicht an anderen Orten
(z.B. Gärten, Bädern etc.).
8. Bei Temperaturen unter 0° C sollte das LED-Beleuch-
tungssystem nicht in Betrieb genommen werden.
9. Wenn ein Verlängerungskabel benötigt wird, muss
ein Kabel geeigneter Leistung benutzt werden. Ein
Verlängerungskabel mit geringerem Durchgangswi-
derstand als das Gerät kann sich überhitzen. Achten
Sie darauf, das
Verlängerungskabel so zu verlegen, dass man nicht
darüber stolpert oder es herauszieht.
10. Wenn das Gerät bei oder in der Nähe von Kindern
benutzt wird, ist Aufsichtspicht zu gewährleisten.

Für Aquarien aus dem Hause Hagen gewähren wir
dem Kunden für die Dauer von 24 Monaten, sofern
er Verbraucher ist, eine Gewährleistung für den Fall,
dass unser Produkt mangelbehaftet sein sollte, nach
Maßgabe der folgenden Bestimmungen:
Es gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistungspicht von
zwei Jahren auf Neuware ab Eintreffen der Ware beim
Kunden.
§ 1 Gewährleistungsumfang
Die Gewährleistung erstreckt sich auf das Ihnen verkaufte
Aquarienprodukt mit allen dazugehörigen Einzelteilen.
Verbrauchsmaterialien, wie z.B. Filtermedien, sind jedoch
ausgenommen. Die Gewährleistung ist beschränkt auf das
Produkt an sich und erstreckt sich nicht auf Schäden an
sonstigen Sachen und/oder Personen. Daneben gelten die
Bestimmungen des Produkthaftungsgesetzes, die durch
die vorstehende Regelung nicht eingeschränkt werden.
Die Produktwerbung/-beschreibung ist Bestandteil der
Vertragsgemäßheit.
Eine Mängelbehebung ist in jedem Fall für den Kunden
vollständig kostenlos.
Der Gewährleistungsanspruch des Kunden besteht
grundsätzlich unabhängig vom bezahlten Kaufpreis. Die
Gewährleistung wird in der Form geleistet, dass nach
unserer Entscheidung das komplette Produkt oder Ein-
zelteile hiervon ausgetauscht oder repariert werden. Bei
Fehlschlagen wird nach Ihrer Wahl der Kaufpreis gemin-
dert oder das Produkt gegen Erstattung des Kaufpreises
zurückgenommen.
§ 2 Gewährleistungszeit und
–abwicklung
Die Gewährleistung beginnt mit dem Tage der Ablieferung
des Aquariums an den Kunden. Voraussetzung der Ge-
währleistungsgewährung ist, dass unser Produkt bestim-
mungsgemäß genutzt und nicht unsachgemäß behandelt
oder gewartet wurde, insbesondere die entsprechende
Gebrauchsanweisung beachtet wurde, weiterhin, dass das
Produkt oder seine Einzelteile nicht durch hierfür nicht au-
torisierte Werkstätten oder Personen repariert wurde. Eine
Gewährleistung besteht nur und kann auch nur daraus
bestehen, auf Dichtigkeit und nicht auf Glasbruch und/oder
die Versiegelung der Abdeckung mit dem Aquarium oder
Folgeschäden. Das heißt, ein Aquarium, was z.B. nicht
ächig auf einer geeigneten Unterlage auiegt und deshalb
einen Glasbruch nach sich zieht, kann nicht als Gewähr-
leistungsleistung gesehen werden.
Die Gewährleistung kommt ferner nicht zum Tragen, wenn
das Produkt mechanische Beschädigungen, gleich welcher
Art, aufweist.
Zeigen sich innerhalb der Gewährleistungszeit Mängel,
so sind die Gewährleistungsansprüche unverzüglich, spä-
testens aber innerhalb einer Frist von zehn Tagen ab dem
Auftreten des Mangels bei dem Fachhändler, welcher das
Produkt geliefert hat, geltend zu machen. Die gesetzlichen
Gewährleistungsrechte bleiben Ihnen dabei erhalten.
Technische Veränderungen, die dem Fortschritt und der
Verbesserung von Produkten dienen, bleiben vorbehalten.
Gewährleistungsansprüche werden nur dann berück-
sichtigt, wenn der Kaufbeleg über das Aquarienprodukt
vorgelegt wird.

Safety information
We provide a watertightness guarantee for the glass
joints under our terms and conditions, if the following
things are observed:
• Before setting up the aquarium ll it with water for 48
hours in a wet room (bathroom/utility room etc.) to
check for leaks. Ensure the tank is not standing on
a tiled or concrete oor. Lay at polystyrene, foam,
carpet or similar under the glass case.
• In the event of a complaint, you must return the
aquarium to us via your pet retailer with the sales
receipt and a description of the problem.
• You must never move the aquarium when full.
• When cleaning the glass please make sure the seals
are not damaged, otherwise the tank may leak; this
applies especially to glass cleaners with blades. No
toxic substances must be used either.
• To set up the aquarium it is essential that a special
aquarium cabinet base is used. For aquariums with-
out an accompanying loose underframe (bottom
trim), a foam safety mat, available from specialist
pet retailers, must be placed between the aquarium
and the surface it is placed upon in order to minimise
slight surface imperfections and any associated
glass breakage. For aquariums with accompanying
underframes (bottom trim) this is not required. The
aquarium must be placed into the frame in this case.
This frame also serves as a bottom trim. The base
must be stable enough to support a full aquarium
(see following weight table). Please add on any heavy
decorative objects such as stones, wood etc. The
aquarium must be levelly positioned and completely
supported.
Failure to comply will remove any liability for glass
breakage and consequential losses!

Aquarium set-up
instructions
In addition to the general safety information, the following
points should be observed when setting up the aquarium:
• The aquarium should be placed on a sturdy, level and
waterproof surface. The use of specialist aquarium
furniture is recommended. A spirit level should
be used to re-check once a year, as oors can
change.
• The aquarium should be positioned in a safe and
secure place. Direct sunlight and close proximity to
heat sources such as radiators should be avoided,
as this may result in overheating or increased algae
formation.
• Do not position the aquarium close to any electrical
equipment which could be damaged by being
splashed.
• When cleaning the glass make sure the seals are not
damaged. Special care should be taken when using
glass cleaners with a blade.
• Detergents with toxic ingredients must not be used.
• The aquarium water must be prepared for sh and
plants before use e.g. by adding water conditioners.
Aquarium canopy
Safety instructions
WARNING – To guard against injury, basic safety precau-
tions should be observed when handling the aquarium
canopy, including the following:
1. To ensure that you enjoy this product and understand
everything fully, PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW ALL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and all important notices
on the unit before use. Failure to do so may result in
damage to the product.
2. DANGER – You should not attempt to repair the unit
yourself in the following situations; take it to an author-
ised service facility for repair or dispose of the unit.
• If the unit falls into the water, DO NOT reach for it!
First unplug it and then retrieve it from the water. If the
unit‘s electrical components get wet, unplug it immedi-
ately.
• Carefully check the unit after installation. It must not
be plugged in if there is any water on parts which
should not be wet.
• Do not use any appliance with a damaged power
cable or plug, or if it is malfunctioning, is dropped or
otherwise damaged. The power cable on this unit
cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, the
unit should be disposed of. Never cut the cable
off.
• To eliminate the possibility of the unit plug or mains
socket getting wet, the unit should be positioned next
to a wall socket such that water cannot drip onto the
socket or plug. A „drip loop“ (see illustration) should be
formed toward the socket. The „drip loop“ is the part
of the power cable which is
below the socket, or the con-
nector if an extension cable
is used, to prevent water from
travelling along the cable and
coming into contact with the
socket. If the plug or socket
get wet, disconnect the fuse
or circuit breaker for the unit.
Only then should you unplug
the power cable and check
the socket for water.
3. Close supervision is necessary if the unit is used with
or near to children. The unit is not suitable for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or with little experience
of technical appliances unless they have received ad-
equate operating instructions before using the unit or
they are under the supervision of a person responsible
for their safety. Children should always be supervised
to ensure that they do not play about with the unit.
4. To avoid injury, do not touch any moving or hot
parts such as heaters.
5. Always unplug all appliances in the aquarium
which are not in use before any parts are installed
or removed, and before cleaning. Never pull on the
power cable to remove the plug from the socket.
Always take hold of the plug and pull.
6. This is a non submersible aquarium light which is
only intended to be mounted on the tank. It is suitable
for use on aquariums with fresh or salt water with a

max water temperature of 35°C. Do not use this unit
for any other water tanks or applications. The use of
attachments not recommended or sold by the unit
manufacturer can lead to unsafe operating conditions.
7. This is a household appliance intended for domestic
use and is suitable for indoor use only. Do not install
or store this unit where it will be exposed to the
weather or to temperatures below freezing.
8. Make sure the unit is safely installed before it is oper-
ated. WARNING: It must not be plugged in if there is
water on parts which must not get wet. Do not place
any objects on the canopy. Allow sufcient air space.
9. Read and follow all important instructions on the unit.
10. If an extension cable is needed, a cable with a suit-
able rating must be used. An extension cable with
lower resistance than the unit may overheat. Take
care to arrange the extension cable so that it will not
be tripped over or pulled out.
11. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE. To use and
understand this canopy fully, we recommend that
these instructions be thoroughly read and understood.
Failure to do so may result in damage to the product.
Installation instructions
Canopy
The canopy contained in this set consists of a frame and
lid, which are already tted together.
Rear view:
Before operating, carefully remove the lid from the frame
completely and guide the cable for the lighting through the
inner opening provided for that purpose on the back of the
lid (Fig. 1, 2).
Put the lid and frame back together again (Fig. 3).
WARNING: Ensure that all cables only pass through the
holes provided for them and the cable is not pinched or
damaged.
Equipment and directions
Water level in the aquarium
Fill the aquarium up to a maximum of 2 centimetres below
the top rim of the tank (do not exceed this lling depth).
Initial set-up
Carefully place the canopy onto the rim of the aquarium.
Make sure that the electric cable and plug do not get wet
during installation. WARNING: Do not plug the canopy in if
there is water on parts which must not get wet.
WARNING: Do not put any objects on top of the canopy.
Ensure there is enough space around the canopy.
Turning the canopy on and off
It is advisable to use the switch to turn the light on and off,
or use a timer switch.

Maintenance
WARNING: Always turn the canopy off and remove the
plug when you are assembling, repairing or maintai-
ning it or removing the canopy for any other reason.
Only use genuine replacement parts.
Cleaning the aquarium canopy
• Do not put the canopy under running water and do not
submerge it in water.
• No special maintenance is required for the canopy,
other than regular cleaning with a damp cloth (never
use harsh chemical products or detergents). A mild
acid such as lemon juice is recommended to remove
limescale deposits. The canopy should then be wiped
thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any residues.
• You are strongly advised to observe the safety precau-
tions and procedures outlined in both the „Important
Safety Instructions“ and „Installation Instructions“
sections.
Recycling
This symbol signies separate disposal of waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
This means that this product must be recycled
or dismantled in accordance with the European
Directive 2012/19/EU in order to minimise
damage to the environment. For more information contact
the relevant authorities. Electronic products which are
not disposed of separately are potentially dangerous to
the environment and human health, as they may contain
hazardous substances.
Set-up tips
Gravel and decoration
When you have decided where the best place for your
aquarium is, you can then prepare it for its occupants. You
must put your aquarium in its desired position, as it must
not be moved when full.
Ensure that the tank is clean and dry before you start.
1. Rinse gravel, rocks, wood and other objects under
running water. Never use household cleaners to rinse
the tank or its contents.Place a couple of rocks evenly
spaced on the bottom of the tank.
2. Add the gravel. Make it slope up from front to back
to create the illusion of depth. This slope also helps
waste to gather at the front of the aquarium.
3. Backgrounds quickly create a pleasant atmosphere in
the aquarium and help to hide unsightly hoses, cables
and tubes. There are many different types

and designs, from washable plastic to realistic 3D rock
or bark effects.
Installation of the electrical
equipment
4. Read the instructions for each piece of electrical
equipment before you position it in the tank. Do not
connect any equipment to the power supply yet.
5. Fill your aquarium to half-full with water. Place a small
bowl on the gravel when lling. This prevents the
gravel from being stirred up or washed away. Now is
the time to put plants in your aquarium.
6. When your aquarium is completely planted up, take
your hands out of the water and dry them thoroughly
before connecting the electrical equipment to the
power supply.

LED lighting system
In this Marina Set is a modern LED lighting system for your
aquarium.
This illumination is optimally designed for your sh and
plants. With a color temperature of 6700 K it promotes the
healthy growth of all plants and aquatic life and provides
an optimal indoor climate.
In contrast to energy-saving lamps LED lamps are not
using harmful substances such as Produced mercury.
The LED bulbs have an extremely long life. With low ener-
gy consumption, the LED lighting system is particularly
gentle on the environment and also provides a high safety
due to low voltage plants and water resistance, for the sh,
as well as for people during maintenance. Please note
however the safety instructions listed below!
IMPORTANT SAFETY
Read your own safety, the safety instructions carefully
and taken into account by this, in the use of LED lighting
systems.
1. In a damaged cord or the associated power plug part,
we ask you not to put the LED lamp again. Instead,
contact a specialist or dealer.
2. Cut through the cable in any case.
3. Order to exclude the possibility of the appliance plug
or receptacle getting wet, position the unit should
be installed near a wall socket so that no water can
drip onto the receptacle or plug. A “drip loop” (see
illustration) should be arranged to the receptacle. The
„drip loop“ is that part of the
cord, which is below the
socket or the connection
when using an extension
cord, will thus prevent water
traveling along the cord
and coming in contact with
the receptacle. If the plug
or receptacle does get wet,
turn off the fuse or circuit
breaker for the device.
Only then unplug the power cord and check the outlet
water.
4. If the power cord is wet, pull the cable out not easy,
rst turn off the fuse for the outlet.
5. Do not touch any hot or moving parts, to avoid direct
injury risk.
6. Before removing the lighting for cleaning or the like,
rst remove the plug from the plug socket.
7. This lighting system is to be used exclusively for use
with aquariums. Do not use it in other places (such as
gardens, pools etc.)
8. At temperatures below 0°C, the LED lamp should not
be put into operation.
9. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper
rating should be used. A cord rated for less wi-resis-
tance than the appliance may overheat. Be sure to
arrange the cord so that you can not be tripped over
or pulled.
10. If the unit is used at or near children, duty of supervisi-
on is to ensure.

Warranty declaration
We give the customer a 24-month warranty for Hagen
aquariums – provided that he/she is a consumer –
should our product be defective, subject to the fol-
lowing provisions: The statutory warranty period of
two years from receipt of goods by the customer shall
apply.
§ 1 Extent of warranty
The warranty covers the aquarium product sold to you, and
all its component parts.
Consumables such as lter media are however excluded.
It is limited to the product and does not cover damage
to other items and/or personal injury. The provisions of
Product Liability Act, which are not restricted by the above
arrangement, shall also apply.
The product advertising/description is part of the contract.
Repair of the defective goods is completely free of charge
to the customer in all cases.
The customer‘s warranty claim is strictly independent
of the purchase price paid. The warranty is extended in
such a way that it shall be our decision whether the whole
product or individual parts are to be repaired or replaced.
Should this fail, you can choose to have the purchase
price reduced or to return the product for a refund of the
purchase price.
§ 2 Warranty period and processing
The warranty starts on the day the aquarium is delivered
to the customer. It is a requirement of our warranty that our
product has been used appropriately and not handled or
maintained improperly, and in particular that the relevant
instructions for use have been followed and that the
product and its parts have not been repaired by unauthor-
ised workshops or individuals. A warranty is and can only
be offered for leaks and not for glass breakage and/or the
seals on the canopy of the aquarium or any consequential
losses. This means an aquarium which is, for example, not
placed on a suitable at surface and the glass breaks as a
result, cannot be covered by the warranty.
Nor does the warranty apply if the product suffers me-
chanical damage of any kind.
If defects occur during the warranty period, then warranty
claims should be made immediately to the pet retailer that
supplied the product, at the latest within ten days of oc-
currence of the defect. This does not affect your statutory
rights.
We reserve the right to make technical changes which
result in improvement or enhancement of products without
notice.
Warranty claims will only be considered if the receipt for
the aquarium product is submitted.

Consignes de
sécurité
Conformément à nos conditions générales de vente,
nous accordons une garantie d’étanchéité pour les
joints de vitre si les consignes ci-après sont respec-
tées:
• Avant sa mise en service, remplissez l’aquarium d’eau
et testez son étanchéité pendant 48 heures en le
plaçant dans une pièce humide (salle de bain/cuisine,
etc.). Veillez à ne pas poser le bac sur le carrelage ou
le sol en béton. Placez un morceau de polystyrène, de
mousse, de tapis ou autres sous le corps en verre sur
toute la surface.
• En cas de réclamation, vous devez nous retourner
l’aquarium par l’intermédiaire de votre revendeur
en animalerie en y joignant votre preuve d’achat ainsi
qu’un descriptif de l’objet de votre réclamation.
• Vous ne devez jamais déplacer l’aquarium lorsqu’il est
rempli.
• Faites attention à ne pas endommager le collage
en nettoyant les parois en verre, notamment avec un
nettoyeur de vitres avec lames, car le bac risquerait le
cas échéant de ne plus être étanche. Vous ne devez
pas non plus utiliser de substances toxiques.
• L’aquarium doit impérativement être posé sur un
meuble spécique. Pour les aquariums non fournis
avec un socle amovible (cache gravier), un support
de sécurité en mousse alvéolaire disponible en anima-
lerie doit être placé entre l’aquarium et la surface sur
laquelle il est posé an d’éviter des endroits pointus
ponctuels et un bris de verre consécutif. Cela n’est
pas nécessaire pour les aquariums fournis avec un
socle (cache gravier). L’aquarium doit dans ce cas
être placé dans le socle. Ce socle sert également
de cache gravier. Le support doit être sufsamment
robuste pour pouvoir supporter un aquarium rempli
(voir tableau des poids ci-contre). Rajoutez en plus
le poids des objets de décoration lourds, par ex. des
pierres, du bois, etc. L’aquarium doit être posé à plat
sur toute sa surface.
En cas de non-respect de ces consignes, nous décli-
nons toute responsabilité pour le bris de verre et les
dommages qui en résulteraient!

Consignes pour la
mise en place de
l’aquarium
Lors de la mise en place de l’aquarium, vous devez
respecter en plus des consignes générales de
sécurité également les points ci-après :
• Posez l’aquarium sur une surface solide, horizontale
et résistante à l’eau. Il est recommandé d’utiliser des
meubles spéciques pour aquarium. Vériez ensuite
tous les ans, à l’aide d’un niveau à bulles, qu’il est
droit car le plancher peut s’être modié.
• Placez l’aquarium dans un endroit protégé et sûr.
Evitez l’exposition directe aux rayons du soleil ainsi
que la proximité de sources de chaleurs, par exemple
les radiateurs, car cela risquerait de trop augmenter la
température ou d’accroître la formation d’algues.
• Ne placez pas l’aquarium à proximité d’appareils
électriques risquant d’être endommagés par des
éclaboussures d’eau.
• Faites attention à ne pas endommager le collage en
nettoyant les parois en verre. Soyez particulièrement
vigilant si vous utilisez un nettoyeur de vitres avec
lame.
• N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants comportant des
substances toxiques.
• Avant de mettre votre aquarium en service, vous
devez préparer l’eau à recevoir les poissons et les
plantes en la traitant, par exemple, à l’aide
d’adjuvants spéciques.

AVERTISSEMENT: An d’éviter les blessures, vous
devez respecter certaines précautions de base lorsque
vous manipulez la rampe d’éclairage pour aquarium, par
exemple:
1. Pour que ce produit vous donne toute satisfaction et
que vous soyez en mesure de comprendre tout ce
qui le concerne, VEUILLEZ LIRE ET RESPECTER
TOUTES LES CONSIGNES DE SECURITE ainsi que
toutes les indications importantes sur l’appareil avant
de l’utiliser. Dans le cas contraire, ce produit risque
d’être endommagé.
2. DANGER – Dans les situations ci-dessous, n’essayez
pas de réparer vous-même l’appareil. Envoyez-le
à réparer dans un centre autorisé ou jetez-le.
• Si l’appareil tombe dans l’eau, ne le touchez PAS!
Débranchez-le avant de le sortir de l’eau. Si des
composants électriques de l’appareil sont mouillés,
débranchez-le immédiatement.
• Inspectez minutieusement l’appareil après son instal-
lation. Vous ne devez pas le brancher si des pièces
sont mouillées alors qu’elles ne doivent pas l’être.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil si le cordon d’alimentation
ou la prise sont endommagés, s’il ne fonctionne
pas correctement, s’il est tombé par terre ou a été
endommagé d’une quelconque manière. Le cordon
d’alimentation de cet appareil ne peut pas être
remplacé. Vous devez mettre l’appareil au rebut
si le cordon est endommagé. Ne coupez jamais le
cordon.
• Pour éviter que la prise de l’appareil ou la prise de
courant soient mouillées, placez l’appareil à côté
d’une prise murale pour empêcher l’eau de dégoutter
sur la prise de courant ou la che. Il est bon de former
à cet effet une «boucle d’égouttement» (voir l’illustra-
tion). Celle-ci est la partie du cordon d’alimentation

3. Il est impératif de surveiller les enfants se trouvant
à proximité de l’appareil quand il est en service.
L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes (y
compris des enfants) aux capacités physiques, senso-
rielles ou mentales réduites ou par des personnes peu
habituées à utiliser de tels appareils sauf si ces per-
sonnes ont reçu toutes les instructions nécessaires ou
si elles sont surveillées par une personne responsable
de leur sécurité. Surveillez constamment les enfants
