useacord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its
lengthorat either the plug or connector end.
• Turntheunit OFF and unplug your air conditioner before
cleaning.
• Foryoursafety…do not store or use combustible materials,
gasolineorother flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity
ofthisor any other appliance.
• Ifthereceptacle does not match the plug, the receptacle
mustbechanged out by a qualified electrician.
• Donotuse means to accelerate the defrosting process
ortoclean, other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Theapplianceshall be stored in a room without
continuouslyoperatingignition sources (for example: open
flames,anoperating gas appliance or an operating electric
heater.
• Donotpierce or burn refrigerant tubing. Be aware that
refrigerantsmaynot contain an odor.
• Keepventilationopenings clear of obstruction.
• Whenhandling,installing, and operating the appliance, care
shouldbetaken to avoid damage to the refrigerant tubing.
• Donotdrill holes in the unit.
• Maintenance,cleaning,and service should only be
performedbytechnicians properly trained and qualified in
theuseof flammable refrigerants.
• HaierAppliancesdoes not support any servicing of the air
conditioner.
• Disposeofair conditioner in accordance with Federal and
LocalRegulations.Flammable refrigerants require special
disposalprocedures.Contact your local authorities for the
environmentallysafedisposal of your air conditioner.

HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITY
Donot,under any circumstances, cut or remove the third
(ground)prongfrom the power cord. For personal safety, this
appliancemustbe properly grounded.
DO NOT use an adapter plug with this appliance.
Thepowercord of this appliance is equipped with a 3-prong
(grounding)plugwhich mates with a standard 3-prong
(grounding)walloutlet to minimize the possibility of electric
shockhazardfrom this appliance.
Powercordincludes a current interrupter device. A test
andresetbuttonisprovidedon theplugcase.Thedevice
shouldbetested on a periodic basis by first pressing the

Havethewall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified
electriciantomake sure the outlet is properly grounded.
Wherea2-prong wall outlet is encountered, it is your
personalresponsibilityand obligation to have it replaced with
aproperlygrounded 3-prong wall outlet.
Theairconditioner should always be plugged into its own
individualelectricaloutlet which has a voltage rating that
matchestherating plate.
Thisprovidesthe best performance and also prevents
overloadinghousewiring circuits which could cause a fire
hazardfromoverheated wires.
