BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
POT ALIGNMENT
1. Ten turn pot, which is installed in your tower rotor as a position sensor must be returned
on the beginning.
2. Turn POT one full turn CW*.
3. Rotate your tower manually to South CCW* (for Over North rotation). For Over South
rotation rotate your tower manually to North CCW*.
4. Fix POT in to tower rotor.
5. Test POT with multi meter, the value on ohm meter should increase
while you turn your tower in CW* direction or to decrease when you
turn your tower CCW*.
* CW - clockwise, CCW – contraclockwise
LIMITS CALIBRATION
BEFORE YOU ENTER SETUP MODE FOR LIMITS CALIBRATION IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO TEST
YOUR TOWER ROTATION WITH CW AND CCW BUTTONS. WHEN YOU PRESS CW BUTTON YOUR
TOWER SHOULD ROTATE IN CW DIRECTION AND VICE VERSA WITH CCW BUTTON PRESSED.
IF YOUR TOWER IS ROTATE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION CHANGE CW AND CCW WIRES ON
TERMINALS ON THE BACK SIDE OF ROTOR CONTROLLER!

From South CCW to South CW and North CCW to North CW must be exatelly 360 degrees.
This limitis / values are referent values for micro controller operation.

In the case of Pulse sens, position and limits settings are little different. First we must adjust CCW Limit!!!!
Picture 7.
Tower rotation OVER NORTH with PULSE sensor
In the case of pulse sensor CCW limit will be automaticly adjusted to 1000 value, no matter which value was
before calibration. This is because internal work of microcontroller. Actual position (picture 7. value 1496) will
get value 1000.
After CCW limit calibration, use REQUEST to walk throgh menu and go to NORTH : postition, with CW turn
your tower / antenna rotor to North position and momorise value.
Now we have to setup CW limit. We will repeat CCW limit setup but with value that will be memorised as CW
limit.

There can be 4 rotor controllers connected to work in network. Only one rotor controller can be set as
Master (that controller is connected to Rotor). In the network there can be 3 more controllers as User
Interfaces. User Interfaces can pass commands to Master and work as Master in this virtual network. There is
only one exception. PC can not be connected to Master via USer Interface.
In SETUP MENU 3/4 choose what type is your Rotor Controller MASTER / USER INTERFACE 1, 2 or 3.
REMINDER:
ONLY ONE CONTROLLER CAN BE MASTER!
IF YOU HAVE ONLY ONE CONTROLLER IT MUST BE MASTER!
Track master and No Track Master is not implemented yet!.

YourRotorControlleriscapabletoworkinnetwork. There is 4 Controllers which can be used in one
network.
If we want to use this future we should use RJ 45 Network cable to connect MASTER with USER
INTERFACES. They are coneceted in RAW MA > UI1 > UI2 > UI3.
Previoslu we should setu up contollers as MASTER, USER INTERFACE 1 ... USER INTERFACE 3.
NETOWORK CABLE MUST BE PIN TO PIN not CROSS OVER one.
DATA TRANSFER
Before we beggin we shold transfer complete setup from MASTER to USER INTERFACE.
That can be done on the following way :
RESET MASTER (press ESC and ENTER). On the display we will get message RESET. Release ENTER
and hold ESC. On display we will get message KEY OK TO SEND TO UI.
Do the same on USER INTERFACES. We will get message WAIT FOR DATA FROM MA.
Then we sholud pres ENTER on MASTER and all date will be transfered to USER INTERFACES.
With USER INTERFACE we can controll MASTER controller. We can use REQUEST, CW or CCW and ESC
to stop rotation.
When controller is USER INTERFACE PC communication is not possible!

PC MODE 11.
Your rotor controller is HY-Gain DCU-1 type with 4800 bps speed!
RTRC 10 FIRMWARE
To check FIRMWARE version press RESET [ESC+ENTER] and then hold [CCW], last version is 3.xx.
To update controller with new version you must have Tinybootloader and USB2COM CDM 2.04.06 driver .
HOW TO:
1. First install CDM 2.04.06
2. Connect RTRC 10 with USB cable to your PC (POWER ON)
3. PC must see RTRC 10 as USB DEVICE and to assign com port for RTRC 10
Picture 1.
If PC see RTRC10 proceed … If not try with different USB port or with other cable
4. On your PC make folder for Tiny bootloader (there is no installation). In RAR archive there is file
RotorCtrV2xx.hex (new sw update).
5. Start Tinybootloader
6. On the left side choose com port where is RTRC 10, com port is assigned by PC.
Choose 57600 bps speed for this com port
7. Press browse button on the top of user screen of Tiny bootloader.
Choose RotorCtrV2xx.hex file in Tinybootloader folder
8. RESET RTRC 10 [ESC+ENTER] and press WRITE FLASH in Tinybootloader sw.
9. Wait until screen on RTRC 10 come to normal.
10. Restart your RTRC 10 controller.
11. Check for version of SW RESET + CCW.

If ver is 3.xx proceed …
This procedure is for any software update for RAC-X Rotor Controller!
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR CONTROLLER AND ANY SW COMMUNICATE AT SPEED OF 4800bps!
SPEED OF 57600bps is only needed when you are updating your Controller internal software!
