■ The warning and caution marks mean the following;

1. Forthesakeofsafety,readtheinstructioncarefullyandgetsufcienttrainingpriortouse
the air respirator.
2. Ifanaccidentoccursduetounauthorizedmodicationoralternation,Hancom
Lifecare
shall
not
take
any

3. NeverusetheAmbientairmodeinaplaceshortofoxygenbyitsconcentration18%or
less,orinaplacecontaminatedbytoxicgas.Usingthebreathingapparatusinsuchplace
may lead to serious injuries or death.
4. Never use the positive pressure air respirator underwater or as a scuba dive.
5. If,duringaleaktestorduringtheprocessofcleaning,anysoapwaterorothersolution

6. Removingthefacepieceinadangerousplacecontaminatedbytoxicgasmayleadto
suffocationleadingtodeath.Alwaysmovetoasafeplacebeforeremovingthefacepiece.

ofthecylinderduetothestress-corrosioncrackingphenomenon.Thismayleadto
serious injuries or death.

ormanufacturerforinspectionandrepair.

5. Checkthehosefordamageorairleakfromconnectors.Ifanydefectsarediscovered,
contactyourlocaldistributorormanufacturerforinspectionandrepair.
6. Ifairleakisdiscoveredonthevalveorhoseconnectingparts,stopusingtheproduct
immediately,andcontactyourlocaldistributorormanufacturerforinspectionandrepair.
7. Seriousscratchesonthefaceshieldmayreducevisibilitywhichcreatingadanger.Replace
thefaceshieldimmediatelyifscratchedontheshield.
8. Inordertopreventobstructionofviewbybreathing,spreadanti-fogsolutiononinnerpart
ofthefaceshield.
9. Duetouser’sbodyfeaturessuchasbeard,hairandmustache,andtheglassesworn
bytheuser,thefacepiecemaynotperfectlyttheface.Ifthereisanygapbetween
thefacepieceandtheface,airmayleakoutrapidlyreducingthetimeofuse.

10.Whenllingthehigh-pressurecylinder(hereinafterreferredtoas“cylinder”),checkand
replacetheaircompressorlterperiodicallytopreventforeignsubstancesfromgettinginto
the cylinder.
11. Always wear the air respirator in a clean air place.
12.If,duringtheprocessofusingtheairrespirator,thepositivepressureregulatorfails,
immediatelyopentheBy-passvalve(emergencyvalve)tocontinuebreathing.Escapeto
asafeplace,andcontactyourlocaldistributorormanufacturerforinspectionandrepair.

■Facepiece:Thefacepieceisconsistoffaceshield,regulatorreleasebutton,
speechdiaphragm,airswitchknob,exhalationvalve,headharnessandfacepiece
rubber.Theheadharnessisdesignedintheformofanetallowingcomfortable
feelingofwearandpreventingharnessfrombeingtwisted.
Thefacepieceismadeofsyntheticrubberandlargesingle-lensprovideswideview.
Theairswitchknobisanequipmentenablingwearertobreathewithambientair
whilewearingthefacepiece.(Neverputtheairswitchknobto“Ambientair”inan
areacontaminatedwithtoxicgas.)
■ Regulator:FBO(FirstBreathingOperation)systemallowstheSCBAtoactivate
withoutfreeow.Thisdevicereducesthepressure,whichhasbeenreducedrstby
theregulator,forthesecondtimetoalevelwhichissuitableforbreathing.Itmain-
tainsthepressureinsidethefacepiecetoalevelwhichishigherbyapproximately
20mmH2Othanthepressureoutsidethefacepiece,topreventthepollutedexternal
airgettingintotheinsidethefacepiece.
Incaseanerroroccursontheregular,theredBy-passvalve(emergencyvalve)
enables the user to receive the compressed air inside cylinder without breathing.
■ Regulator side button:Tostopusingtherespirator,pushthesidebuttonas
shown in the picture.
■ Regulator release buttons: Facepiece and regulator has disconnecting
structurewhichallowsusertoreleaseregulatorfromthefacepiecebypushingthe
two red buttons as shown in the picture
■ Low-pressure warning gauge:TheLEDlightsturnstoredwhenthere-
mainingpressureislowerthanapproximately55bar.Usereasilycanrecognizethe
remaining pressure in the dark with Luminous treated gauge.
■ Alarm:Thisdevicealertstheuserbygeneratinganalarmwhentheremaining
pressureofthecylinderisapproximately55bar,andtheusercanrecognizeinthe
noisyplacesuchasthesceneofare.

■ Mounting cylinder on harness
-Loosenthecylinderxingbandoftheharnesstolargerthanthecylindercircumference.
-Aimthecylindervalvetowardsthelowerpartoftheharness,andpushitintotheinsideofthe
xingband.
-Priortoconnectingthe1ststageregulatorwiththecylindervalve,checkthedamageordefects
ofO-ringattachedtotheinsidethe1st stage regulator connecting nuts.
-Connectthe1st stage regulator installed on the harness with the cylinder valve.
-Fixthecylinderrmlytotheharnesswiththecylinderxingband.
-Whenthecylindervalveisopenedagain,pressuregaugeindicatorshallnothaveanychanges.
-Ifthereisachangeinthepressuregauge,applysoapwatertotheconnectingpartsofthe
cylindervalvesafetydeviceandairoutlets,pressuregauge,hose,andalarms,andcheckfor
bubbles or drops.
-Ifairleaks,eventhecylindervalveand1ststageregulatorareaccuratelyconnected,checkthe
1ststageregulatoro-ring.CheckO-ringwhetherdamageormissing.
■ Leakage test
Cylinder
-Turnthecylindervalveon.
-Asthepressuregaugeindicatormaychangeduetothepressureexpandednearthehose,
carefullyturnthecylindervalvehandlecounterclockwisefor1ormoreturnsandremainsfor
approximately5~10minutes.
-Checkthepressuregaugereadingandturnthecylindervalvehandleclockwisetoclosethe
valve,andcheckthepressurechangeafterapproximately5~10minutes.
■ Pressure gauge and alarm
-Afteraleakagetest,completelyclosethecylindervalveandslowlyturntheBy-pass(tocounter-
clockwise)toopen.Thepressurebeginstodropbydrainingtheairinsidethehose.

-Loosenthecylinderxingbandoftheharnesstolargerthanthecylindercircumference.
-Aimthecylindervalvetowardsthelowerpartoftheharness,andpushitintotheinsideofthe
xingband.
-Priortoconnectingthe1ststageregulatorwiththecylindervalve,checkthedamageordefects
ofO-ringattachedtotheinsidethe1st stage regulator connecting nuts.
-Connectthe1st stage regulator installed on the harness with the cylinder valve.
-Fixthecylinderrmlytotheharnesswiththecylinderxingband.
-Whenthecylindervalveisopenedagain,pressuregaugeindicatorshallnothaveanychanges.
-Ifthereisachangeinthepressuregauge,applysoapwatertotheconnectingpartsofthe
cylindervalvesafetydeviceandairoutlets,pressuregauge,hose,andalarms,andcheckfor
bubbles or drops.
-Ifairleaks,eventhecylindervalveand1ststageregulatorareaccuratelyconnected,checkthe

1.Donotuseacetone,benzene,chemicalproductsorgasolineandothertypeofsolvents
tocleantheproduct.Usingsuchmaterialstocleantheproductmaycausedamagetothe
product.
2.Donotsoakanyofthevalves,positivepressureregulator,high-pressureregulatorand
hoseinthewater.Anymoistureorwaterexistinginsideanyofsuchpartsmayinducefault
whileusingtheequipment,placingtheuserindanger.
