1 This appliance is not suitable for use by:
• Persons with reduced sensory and/or mental capacity
• Persons lacking knowledge of or experience with these appliances, with the exception of
individuals who are being supervised or have
received instructions regarding the use of the
appliance by a person who assumes
responsibility for their safety.
2 These appliances are not suitable for use by:
• Persons whose skin is prone to burn without being exposed to sunlight
• Persons whose skin is already sunburned or has been burned in a tanning bed
• Persons who have been diagnosed with skin cancer or precursors of skin cancer
• Persons without a medical advice who experience unexpected symptoms such as
itching within 48 hours of using a appliance
for the first time.
• persons who tend to freckle• persons with a natural red hair colour• persons having abnormal discoloured patches on skin
• persons having more than 16 moles (2 mm or more) on the body
• persons having atypical moles (de ned as asymmetrical moles larger than 5 mm in
diameter with variable pigmentation and
irregular borders; in case of doubt, seek
medical advice)
• Seek medical advise if persistent lumps or sores appear on the skin or if there are
changes in pigmented moles.
• persons with a family history of melanoma. • persons having a rst-degree relative with a history of melanoma.
• persons under a doctor’s care for diseases that involve photosensitivity and/or receiving photosensitising medications
• persons who burn easily when exposed to the sun, or having a history of frequent severe
sunburn during childhood
• persons who are not able to tan at all or not able to tan without burning when exposed to
the sun
• Persons younger than 183 Make sure that upon commencing a series of
sessions your customers have a rest day
following their first session. If there is no sign
of any undesirable skin reaction they can then
continue with the series of sessions.
4 Make sure that your customers do not use the
appliance more than once a day. The
appliance may not be used if during the same
he or she already tanned using natural
sunlight. The skin does not make a distinction
between the two. Take exposure to natural
sunlight into account.
5 Some medicines and beauty products contain
substances which can cause certain
undesirable reactions when combined with
exposure to UV radiation. Other substances
may also sometimes have a similar effect.
Below you will find a list of substances which
can react when combined with exposure to
UV radiation:
• Sulphonamide - in various medications, including antibiotics
• Tetracyclines - in antibiotics and acne medication
• Nalidexine acid - in urinary tract infection medication
• Chlorothiazide - in diuretics• Sulphonylurea - in diabetes medication• Phenothiazines - anxiety medication• Triacetyldiphenylisatine - in laxatives• Psoralenes - in tanning accelerators• Cyclamates - in sweeteners• Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) - in sunscreen creams/oils• Musk ambrette, musk oil - in perfumes• Bleaching agents - in washing powders/liquids
• Eosine - in colourings• Halogenated salicylamide - in antifungal substances
6 When combined with exposure to ultraviolet
light, cosmetic products, e.g. perfumes and
make-up can cause the skin to react. Ensure
that your customers skin is clean of all not
SEECRET products before they start the
session. Some products penetrate deep into
the skin. Recommend that they clean their
skin thoroughly a few hours before each
session, or better still, recommend that they
wear no make-up at all the day before. Also
tell your customers to remove any jewellery
before using the appliance.
7 Make sure that your customers do not use
cream or oil that contains a sun block or
self-tanning lotion when using the appliance.
These products contain substances which
influence the session times and thus make the
prescribed times unreliable. Also make sure
that your customers do not use tanning pills
in combination with a series of sessions or
exposure to natural sunlight. The combination
of tanning pills and UV light can increase the
possibility of skin irritation and sunburn.
8 If the skin is red and taut shortly after the
session it is likely sunburned. Wait one week
for these symptoms to disappear before using
the appliance again, revise the session table
and reduce the length of the individual
sessions for the customer in question. If the
use of the appliance gives rise to undesirable
reactions that you cannot explain, stop using
the appliance and advise your customer to
see their doctor if the symptoms do not
disappear within a short space of time.
9 Make sure that your customers always wear
protective goggles to protect their eyes - even
if you may have seen pictures of people
tanning without using these goggles. UV light
which directly enters the eyes can cause eye
disorders (snow blindness, actinic
conjunctivitis or cataracts). Contact lenses
and sun glasses are not a substitute for
goggles.
10 Reduce the session time by 20% during the
first 50 hours when using new lamps. During
these 50 hours, the lamps emit 120% power
instead of the usual 100%. After the first 50
hours the lamps will emit as normal..
11 Protect sensitive skin parts such as scars,
tattoos and genitals from exposure.
12 In cases of pronounced individual sensitivity
or allergic reaction to ultraviolet radiation,
medical advice is recommended before
starting exposure
13 The unprotected eye may develop surface
inflammation and in some cases, after a
cataract operation for example, damage may
accur to the retina after eccessive exposure.
Cataracts may develop after prolonged
exposures.
14 Ultraviolet radiation from the sun or UV
appliances can cause skin or eye damage.
These biological effects depend upon the
quality and quantity of the radiation as well as
the skin and eye sensitivity of the individual.
15 Excessive exposure may cause skin to burn.
Excessive repeated exposure to ultraviolet
radiation from the sun or UV appliances may
lead to premature ageing of the skin as well
as increase risk of skin tumours. These risks
increase with increasing cumulative UV
exposure. Exposure at an early age increases
the risk of skin damage later in life.

The principle:
The skin consists of 3 layers. 1. The Epidermis, 2. The Dermis and 3. The
Subcutaneous. The epidermis is the tough outer skin layer that protects us from
harmful external influences. This skin layer consists of cells that are constantly
being renewed.
The layer under this is the dermis. Collagen makes up ¾ of the dermis. This is the
tissue that gives our skin its firmness. In the dermis there are also fibroblasts
which are responsible for the production of collagen. The layer under this, the
subcutaneous layer, stores energy and keeps us warm.
Seecret uses the natural self-healing powers of the skin. The unique red light
with a wave length of 620 nm misleads the skin into thinking that skin damage
has occurred. Because of this, the repairing process starts, resulting in the skin
becoming younger. The cells responsible for this process are called fibroblasts.
The red light from the Seecret lamps ensures that these cells are provided with
energy as a result of which they can produce more collagen. This red light also
stimulates the blood circulation and the skin’s healing powers. Of all types of visible light, only red light is capable of penetrating deep enough
into the skin in order to activate cells for the skin rejuvenation process. The
process also activates cells that are not directly radiated.
Some other skin rejuvenation processes first damage the skin, as a result of
which the repair process is initiated. Seecret is a stimulation process by which
the skin gradually rejuvenates naturally and without injury.
The light from the Seecret lamps make you look good, the Vita D+lamps make
you feel good. The Vita D+lamps stimulate the production of Vitamin D. Vitamin
D is essential for building up the bone structure and also has a positive effect on
the metabolism as well as reducing blood pressure. The unique combination of
encouraging vitamin D production and rejuvenation of your skin ensures that
you feel fitter, more agreeable and perhaps also healthier.
Session build up:
Like all safe and painless skin stimulation methods, just one Seecret treatment
alone, will not improve the skin. Skin aging is a process of years and one session
of 12 minutes cannot undo that. A build up series is necessary to reduce the age
of the skin. 2-3 build up sessions per week are necessary over a period of 2-3
months. After approximately 1 month the first results are visible and after 2-3
months your skin is at its optimal level. After this, 2 sessions per month are
needed in order to keep your skin up to level. The session length is dependent on
your skin type. A darker skin lets less light into the deeper skin layers where cell
activation occurs. This is why the session length for dark skin is 14 minutes vs. 12
minutes for licht skin.
Each session provides your cells with new energy. This energy is retained for a period of time, so that your cells have enough energy until the next session. If,
between two sessions, you have been exposed to conditions that age the skin, then an extra session can address this damage directly.
General information on Seecret
Seecret offers you a relaxing skin stimulation therapy which results in your skin looking years younger. The light from the Seecret lamps activates
the cells which produce collagen leaving your skin looking firmer and smoother.
