Thank you for choosing this exciting Shrek 2 product! For maximum
enjoyment, be sure to follow all instructions carefully.
This set includes:
Cauldron Pot with fireplace base, fire backdrop, rotisserie skewer
with holders, “Magic” wiggle fork, 2 molding trays (each with 2
critter molds), 1 Apple Critter™* Mix, 1 Grape Critter™* Mix, 1 Swamp
Rat Stew™* Mix, 1 Swamp Gas A™* Mix, 1 Swamp Gas B™* Mix.
RAN OUT OF CRITTER MIX?
No problem! You can use your favorite store-bought gelatin mix to
make more candy critters.
1. Pour store-bought gelatin mix into a mixing bowl. To create the desired
consistency when making the store bought gelatin, use approximately
1/2 the recommended amount of water.
2. Stir well for 2-3 minutes.
3. To make 4 critters, pour mixture into both molding trays. Refrigerate
according to store-bought gelatin instructions.
4. When you’re finished making the candy critters, you can use your
favorite syrup flavor as a dipping sauce! Chocolate, strawberry and
maple syrup all work well. Just pour syrup into the cauldron!
5. Remove the gummy treats with the “Magic” wiggle fork, or with the
rotisserie skewer, and dip them in the cauldron or baste over the
“flame”.
6. Stick the gummy with the center prong of fork, pushing it through until
side prongs reach the bottom of the gummy treat. Squeezing the handle
portion of the fork will make the gummy treat “come alive”!

ASSEMBLY
Make sure you have the following item before you begin:
• Scissors
Carefully use scissors to cut out
the “Shrek Cooking Backdrop”
from the back of the package.
Cut along the dotted line around
the illustration.
Fold the two creases in the
backdrop FORWARD. The
backdrop should now be free
standing.

Assembling the Candy Maker
• Lay the fireplace base in front of the backdrop. Place the fire backdrop
against the fireplace base.
• Put the cauldron pot on top of the fireplace base. Place the rotisserie
skewer holders on opposite ends of the fireplace base. Place the
rotisserie skewer on top of the rotisserie skewer holders overtop the
cauldron.
CREATING SHREK SWAMP SNACKS
Make sure you have the following items before you begin:
• Spoon
• Measuring Spoon
• Mixing Bowls
CLEANING
Before you begin, be sure to wash all parts in warm, soapy water
and rinse thoroughly. Wash after each use. Do not use dishwasher
to clean.
1. Rinse Cauldron Pot and pour 1/2 of Rat Stew packet into cauldron pot.
Add 4 1/2 teaspoons of water and mix thoroughly.
2. In a separate mixing
bowl, pour the
contents of both
SWAMP GASSES
mixes, A & B. Mix the
two powders well,
then pour 1/2 of
the mixed powder
into the SWAMP RAT
STEW to increase
the bubbling
brew effect.
MAKING THE CANDY SAUCE
1. Pour contents of 1 Critter
Mix into the Cauldron Pot.
Mix with 4 1/2 teaspoons of
warm water. Stir well for 2-3
minutes until it thickens.
2. To make 4 critters, pour
mixture into both molding
trays. Place molds in
refrigerator for 5-10
minutes.
MAKING THE CANDY
3. When brew is
bubbling in cauldron,
remove the gummy
treats from molds
with the “Magic”
wiggle fork, or
with the rotisserie
skewer, and dip them
in the cauldron.
4. Stick the gummy
with the center
prong of fork,
pushing it through
until side prongs
reach the bottom
of the gummy treat.
Squeezing the

the fork will make
the gummy treat
“come alive”!
