Hi/Low Seat Switch
Installation Instructions

Warning: For use on seats that have removable covers only.

Seat Heater Installation Instructions:
1. Remove the motorcycle seat.
2. Remove the staples in the back half of the seat, so the vinyl/leathercan be rolled back.
3. Choose the placement of the seat heater. Route the seat heater power wire to the bottomof the seat.
Note: Removing foam and drilling a hole through thebottom of theseat may make installation easier.
4. Remove the paperbacking from the adhesive and lay the heater in position.
Make sure to press down on the heater to insure a good adhesion between the seat and the seat heater.
Note: A thin layer of foam may be placed over the topof the heater to reduce the visibility of the heater through the
seat cover.
5. For the dual switchkit, repeat step 1 through 4 for the second seat heater.
Installing the Switch Panel:
Note: Pull the seat cover tight over the seat and proceed with step 1.
1. Unscrew the boltsfrom the front panel, and separatethe switch panel/wire harness from the back panel.
2. Using the back panel,mark the preferred switch placement onthe seat. Then usethe back panel as a stencil to cut
out the needed holes.
3. Remove enough foam the seat to house the switches, and make a smalltunnel from theswitch location to the
bottom of the seat to run the wire harnesses through. You willneed to make a hole in the plastic bottom of the seat
to thread the wires through.
Note: Use the holes cut inthe seat cover in step 1 to locate where to remove thefoam from the seat.

4. Pull the seat cover back over the seat and leave it loose. Place back panel on theinside of the seat cover (make sure
to orientate the switch panel correctly, notcheson the switch holes tothe left, and nuts facing inside the seat)
5. Push the connectors on side B (shown in figure 2) through the center holeof the back panel,then pull the Aside
connectors (shown in figure 2) through the center hole of the panel; then connect the A side connectors to the hi
low switch as shown in figure 3.
(Only for Dual Switch Kit)With the front panel and back panel firmly connected, attach the second wire harness to
the second switch (as shown infigure 3.)

6. With the seat cover pulled tight, tighten the front panel to the back panel with the screw you removed previously.
7. Push the B side connectors of the wire harnesses through the foam and pullthem out of the bottom of the seat.
Connect the seat heater plug to the wire harness jack (front seat to switch Aharness,connect the back/passenger
seat heater plugwith the wire harness jack from switch B (only for DualSwitch Kit.)
8. With the seat heater, and switch in place, pull the seatcover as tight as possible; make sure the seatheater doesn’t
wrinkle. Staple the seat cover back in place.
Connecting the Wires to Power:
1. Connect the brain box harnessto the switch wire harnesses (as shown in figure 4).

2. Temporarily run thebare leads directly to the battery (red to positive, black to negative). Turn the switches to
Hi, and make sure thatthe seat heater operates correctly (allow 5 to 10minutes for the heater to heat up).
3. Disconnect the wiresfrom the battery, and disconnect the battery leads negative first. Find an accessory line
that is keyed with the ignitionand supplies12 volts. Using the included red spliceconnectors, splice the red wire
of the brain box harnessinto the accessory line, repeatwith the groundwire.
4. With the connections made, connect the seat backto the vehicle.Test again for correct operation.
