1. Verwendung dieser Anleitung
Die vorliegende Installationsanleitung enthält alle notwendigen Informationen für die
Installation dieses Gerätes. Informationen zum Betrieb des Gerätes finden Sie in den
folgenden Dokumenten:
• Betriebsanleitung ND 1300 QUADRA-CHEK Kantenerkennung über Video oder
Fadenkreuz (ID 734903)

Die vorliegende Anleitung richtet sich an Personen, die die Qualifikationen für die
Installation, Bedienung und Wartung der HEIDENHAIN ND 130x QUADRA-CHEK
aufweisen.
Eine qualifizierte Person ist aufgrund ihrer fachlichen Ausbildung, Kenntnisse und
Erfahrung sowie Kenntnisse der einschlägigen Bestimmungen in der Lage, die ihr
übertragenen Aufgaben zu beurteilen und mögliche Gefahren selbständig zu erkennen
und zu vermeiden.

2. Informationen zum Gerätetyp
Diese Anleitung gilt für mehrere Gerätetypen. Soweit möglich, wird der Name des
Gerätes verwendet, für das diese Anleitung erstellt wurde. Wenn eine Funktion jedoch
nur eine bestimmte Gerätevariante betrifft, wird der entsprechende Produktname oder
der Produktname und die ID aufgeführt. Der in manchen Fällen im Produktnamen
verwendete Buchstabe „x“ zeigt an, dass die beschriebene Funktion bei mehreren
Gerätevarianten und -typen verfügbar ist.

Die ND 130x QUADRA-CHEK ist eine hochwertige Auswerte-Elektronik für hochgenaue
Messungen mit zwei, drei oder vier Achsen. Das Gerät ist nicht für die Verwendung
im Freien vorgesehen. Die Bauteile der ND 130x dürfen nur gemäß dieser Anleitung
installiert werden. Montage, Installation und Wartung dürfen nur von qualifiziertem
Personal durchgeführt werden.

Die ND 130x kann mit dem Standfuß als Tischgerät verwendet werden. Das Gerät
kann zur Einstellung des optimalen Lesewinkels um bis zu 20° nach vorne oder hinten
gekippt werden. Die ND 130x wird mit einer Passschraube (5), einer Kopfschraube (1)
und Unterlegscheiben (2, 3und 4) in den Schwenkschlitzen des Standfußes befestigt.
Befestigung des Standfußes:
 Gerät an den Standfuß anbauen wie rechts abgebildet
 Kopfschraube und Passschraube leicht anziehen
 Gewünschte Schwenkposition einstellen
 Kopfschraube und Passschraube festziehen
Platzierung auf der Arbeitsfläche und Montage
Gerät auf eine flache, stabile Fläche stellen oder mit den vier M5-Schrauben von unten in
dem unter „Dimensions“ auf Seite 115 dargestellten Muster auf einer stabilen Fläche
festschrauben.
6. Installation
Für die Sicherheit eines Systems, in dem dieses Gerät verwendet wird, trägt
der Monteur oder Installateur dieses Systems die Verantwortung.

Elektrischer Anschluss
Warnung! Stromschlaggefahr!
Bei nicht ordnungsgemäßer Erdung des Gerätes besteht Stromschlaggefahr.
Verwenden Sie zur Vermeidung dieser Gefahr immer ein 3-poliges Netzkabel
und stellen Sie den korrekten Erdungsanschluss an die Gebäudeinstallation
sicher.
Warnung! Brandgefahr!
Wenn das verwendete Netzkabel nicht die Mindestanforderungen erfüllt,
besteht Brandgefahr.
Verwenden Sie zur Vermeidung dieser Gefährdung immer ein Netzkabel, das
die aufgeführten Mindestanforderungen erfüllt oder übertrifft.
Netzkabel anschließen
Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um das Netzkabel anzuschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Netzkabel von der Hauptstromversorgung trennen, falls angeschlossen
 Buchsenstecker des Netzkabels an den Netzanschluss auf der Rückseite des Gerätes
anschließen
 Netzkabelstecker (Stift) an die Hauptstromversorgung anschließen
Anschlüsse für Daten-Schnittstellen
Hinweis
Dieses Gerät enthält Bauteile, die durch elektrostatische Entladung (ESD)
beschädigt werden können. Beachten Sie die Sicherheitsvorkehrungen für die
Handhabung ESD-empfindlicher Bauteile und berühren Sie die Anschlussstifte
niemals ohne ordnungsgemäße Erdung.
Licht- und Zoomsteuerkabel anschließen
Dieses Gerät unterstützt die Beleuchtung von oben, hinten und Ringbeleuchtung zur
Ausleuchtung des Bildes. Die Ausgänge für Lichtsteuerung werden über einen 44-poligen
Sub-D-Anschluss für Licht-und Zoomsteuerung mit einer externen Lichtsteuerbox
verbunden. Die 0 V- bis 5 V-Ausgänge für Zoomsteuerung werden ebenfalls über den
Anschluss für Licht- und Zoomsteuerung mit einem Zoomverstärker verbunden.
Licht- und Zoomsteuerkabel anschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Schnittstellenkabel am entsprechenden Anschluss anschließen
 Schrauben des Kabelsteckers anziehen bis sie gleichmäßig fest aufliegen
Fußschalter anschließen
Dieses Gerät besitzt einen RJ45-Anschluss für einen Fußschalter (ID 681041-01) von
HEIDENHAIN.
RJ45-Kabel für Fußschalter anschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Rastnase des Kabelsteckers am Anschluss ausrichten und den Stecker in den

Dieses Gerät besitzt einen Anschluss für die Steuerung eines CNC-Joysticks und
Verstärkers.
CNC-Steuerkabel anschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Schnittstellenkabel am entsprechenden Anschluss anschließen
 Schrauben des Kabelsteckers anziehen bis sie gleichmäßig fest aufliegen
Kabel an koaxialenVideoeingang anschließen
Dieses Gerät besitzt einen koaxialen Videoeingang für Composite Video.

Messgerät anschließen
Dieses Gerät kann mit Längenmessgeräten und Drehgebern verwendet werden, die
digitale TTL-Signale oder 1 VSS-Signale liefern.
Das Anschlusskabel darf maximal eine Länge von 30 Metern haben.
Messgerätekabel anschließen:

Kabel für optischen Kantensensor anschließen
Dieses Gerät besitzt Lichtwellenleiteranschlüsse für Profilprojektor-Referenzlichtquelle und
-Bildschirmsensor.
Lichtwellenleiter anschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Lichtwellenleiter am entsprechenden Anschluss anschließen
 Kabelstecker handfest anziehen bis er gleichmäßig fest aufliegt
Audiokabel anschließen
Dieses Gerät besitzt einen Anschluss für Kopfhörer oder Lautsprecher (3,5 mm).
Audiokabel anschließen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Audiokabel am entsprechenden Anschluss anschließen
USB-Kabel anschließen
Dieses Gerät besitzt einen USB-Anschluss für die Kommunikation mit einem Drucker und
Datenspeichergerät. Weitere Informationen zur Kommunikation über USB finden Sie in

USB-Drucker oder Datenspeichergerät anschließen:

8. Erstinbetriebnahme
Gerät einschalten:
 Zum Einschalten des Gerätes Netzschalter drücken (Position auf „Ein“). Der
Startbildschirm wird angezeigt.
9. Wartung
Die in dieser Anleitung beschriebenen Wartungsarbeiten können bei der Installation
des Gerätes erforderlich sein. Weitere Informationen zur Wartung finden Sie in der
Betriebsanleitung ND 1300 QUADRA-CHEK.
Reinigung
Warnung! Stromschlaggefahr!
Bei der Reinigung besteht die Gefahr eines Stromschlags durch Eintreten von
Flüssigkeit in das Gerät.
Zur Vermeidung dieser Gefahr muss das Gerät stets ausgeschaltet und das
Netzkabel gezogen werden. Verwenden Sie niemals ein durchfeuchtetes oder
vor Feuchtigkeit triefendes Tuch.
Hinweis
Verwenden Sie keine scheuernden oder aggressiven Reinigungs- oder
Lösungsmittel, um das Gerät nicht zu beschädigen.
Gerät reinigen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Netzkabel von der Stromquelle trennen
 Außenflächen mit einem mit Wasser und einem milden Haushaltsreiniger
angefeuchteten Tuch abwischen
Sicherung austauschen
Warnung! Stromschlaggefahr!
Beim Austausch einer Sicherung besteht die Gefahr, gefährliche,
spannungsführendeTeile zu berühren.
Schalten Sie zur Vermeidung dieser Gefährdung das Gerät stets aus und
trennen Sie das Netzkabel von der Stromversorgung.
Hinweis
Um eine Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden, dürfen nur
spezifikationsgemäße Ersatzsicherungen verwendet werden.
Sicherung austauschen:
 Netzschalter auf „Aus“ stellen
 Netzkabel von der Stromquelle trennen
 Mit einem kleinen, geraden Schlitzschraubendreher die Arretierung der
Sicherungshalterung lösen
 Sicherungshalterung abnehmen und durchgebrannte Sicherung austauschen
 Neue Sicherung in die Sicherungshalterung einsetzen
 Sicherungshalterung wieder einsetzen und eindrücken, bis die Arretierung wieder
einrastet

The ND 130x can be used as a tabletop unit when placed on the provided stand. The
unit can then be tilted forward or backward by up to 20° for the best reading angle.The
ND 130x is secured to the swivel slots of the stand by a shoulder screw (5), a cap screw
(1) and washers (2, 3& 4).
To attach the stand:
 Attach the unit to the stand as shown at the right
 Partially tighten the cap and shoulder screws
 Adjust the unit to the desired tilt position
 Completely tighten the cap and shoulder screws
Benchtop location and mounting
Rest the unit on a flat, stable surface or bolt the unit to a stable surface from the bottom
using four M5 screws fastened in the pattern shown in “Dimensions” on page 115.

responsibility of the assembler or installer of the system.

Electrical connection

A risk of electrical shock exists if this product is not properly grounded.
To avoid the hazard, always use a 3-conductor (grounded) power cord and
ensure the ground is properly wired to the building installation.
Warning! Risk of fire
A risk of fire exists if a power cord not meeting minimum specifications is
used.
To avoid the hazard, always use power cords that meet or exceed the minimum
listed specifications.
Connecting a power cord
To connect a power cord:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Verify that the power cord is not plugged into the main power supply
 Insert the female end of the power cord into the power connector on the rear of the
product
 Insert the male end of the power cord into the the main power supply outlet
Data interface connections
Notice
This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic
discharge (ESD). Observe precautions for handling ESD sensitive devices and
never touch connector pins unless properly grounded.
Connecting a lighting and zoom cable
This product supports top, back and ring lighting for image illumination.The lighting output
connections are made to an external light control box through a 44 pin D-sub lighting and
zoom connector. The 0 to 5 Volt zoom control output connections to a zoom amplifier are
also made through the lighting and zoom connector.
To connect a lighting and zoom cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Connect the interface cable to it’s connector
 Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug
Connecting a foot switch
This product provides an RJ-45 foot switch connection for use with HEIDENHAIN foot
switch (ID 681041-01).
To connect an RJ-45 foot switch cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 With the cable connector locking tab aligned with the connector, insert the cable
connector into the interface connector until the tab locks into place

Connecting a CNC control cable
This product provides a connection for CNC joystick and amplifier control.
To connect a CNC control cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Connect the interface cable to it’s connector
 Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug
Connecting a coaxial video input
This product provides a coaxial video input for composite video.
To connect a coaxial cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Connect the interface cable to it’s connector
 Tighten the cable connector until it is snug
Connecting a Y/C video input
This product provides aY/C video input for S-video.
To connect a S-video cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Insert the S-video cable into the Y/C connector
Connecting an encoder
This product can be used with linear and rotary encoders that provide digitalTTL level
signals or 1Vpp signals.The connecting cable must not exceed 30 meters in length.
To connect an encoder cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Connect the interface cable to it’s connector
 Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug
Connecting an RS-232-C cable
This product provides an RS-232 connection for PC communication. For more information
on RS-232 communications, refer to the ND 1300 QUADRA-CHEK Operating Instructions.
To connect an RS-232 cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Connect the interface cable to it’s connector
 Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug

Connecting optical edge detector cables
This product provides optical cable connectors for comparator light source reference and
comparator screen sensor.
To connect an optical cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Insert the optical cable into the connector
 Hand tighten the cable connector until snug
Connecting an audio cable
This product provides a 3.5 mm connector for use with headphones or speakers.
To connect an audio cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Insert the audio cable into the connector
Connecting a USB cable
This product provides a USB connection for printer and data storage device
communication. For more information on USB communications, refer to the
ND 1300 QUADRA-CHEK Operating Instructions.
To connect a USB printer or data storage device:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Insert a printer USB (type A) cable or a USB data storage device into the products USB
port

8. Initial power-up
To power-up the product:
 Press the On (supply) side of the power switch to power-up the product. The startup
screen is displayed.
9. Maintenance
The maintenance procedures described in these instructions may be required
during installation of the product. For additional maintenance information, refer to
the ND 1300 QUADRA-CHEK Operating Instructions.
Cleaning
Warning! Risk of electrical shock
While cleaning it is possible to conduct electricity from hazardous live parts if
liquid enters the product.
To avoid the hazard, always power off the product, disconnect the power cable
and never use a cloth that is dripping or saturated with water.
Notice
Never use abrasive cleaners, strong detergents or solvents to avoid damage to
the product.
To clean:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Disconnect the power cable from the source of power
 Wipe exterior surfaces with a cloth dampened with water and a mild household
detergent
Replacing a fuse
Warning! Risk of electrical shock
When replacing a fuse it is possible to touch hazardous live parts.
To avoid the hazard, always power off the unit and disconnect the power cable.
Notice
Use only replacement fuses meeting rated specifications to avoid damage to
the product.
To replace a fuse:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position
 Disconnect the power cable from the source of power
 Use a small straight slot screwdriver to disengage the locking tabs on the fuse holder
 Remove the fuse holder and remove the blown fuse
 Insert the new fuse into the fuse holder
 Re-insert the fuse holder and push in until the locking tabs re-engage
