Bei diesem Test geht es um das Haushaltsprodukt Produkt 'Somat Smart', ein intelligentes Dosiergerät für Ihren
Geschirrspüler.
Als Tester unterstützen Sie das Team dabei, 'Somat Smart' fit für den Marktlaunch zu machen. Wir möchten Sie daher bitten,
das Gerät im Testzeitraum intensiv zu nutzen.
Die Testergebnisse werden ausschließlich zur Weiterentwicklung des Produktes verwendet. Die Auswertung erfolgt unter
Einhaltung der gesetzlichen Datenschutzbestimmungen.

dennoch Somat Smart nutzen möchten, stellen sie bitte den
Modus 'Pots' als Reinigungsmodus in der App ein.

1. INSTALL ATION
Önen Sie den weißen Knopf auf der
Unterseite der Konsole mit
einer Münze...

...und setzen Sie die Batterie ein, wobei der
Minuspol der Batterie zuerst eingeführt wird.
Schließen Sie die weiße Kammer wieder mit
einer Münze. (Bei richtiger Positionierung
blinkt die LED-Taste auf der weißen Konsole
blau & lila*).
*Wenn die LED-Anzeige nicht blau & lila blinkt, über-
prüfen Sie, ob die Batterie richtig herum eingesetzt
wurde.
Wenn die Batterie richtig eingesetzt ist, drücken Sie
die Reset-Taste für 2 Sekunden.
Wenn es immer noch nicht blinkt, drücken Sie bitte die
Reset- Taste 10 Sekunden lang, um das Produkt neu-
zustarten.
Wenn die LED-Anzeige immer noch nicht leuchtet,
bedeutet dies definitiv, dass die Batterie falsch
eingesetzt wurde.

APP HERUNTERLADEN
Um Ihr Somat Smart Gerät über die App zu
steuern, laden Sie die App bitte herunter -
folgen Sie dazu den Anweisungen in der
Einladungs-E-Mail. Anschließend führt Sie
die App durch den Installationsprozess.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die App noch nicht
finalisiert, sondern nur zu Testzwecken
konzipiert ist.

2. EINSETZEN VON SOMAT SMART
IN IHRER SPÜLMASCHINE
Stellen Sie Somat Smart in einen Tellerhalter
im unteren Korb des Geschirrspülers - mit
der weißen Dosiereinheit nach unten und
prüfen Sie, ob sich der Sprüharm frei bewegt:

Wenn Sie die Nachfülleinheit absenken,
achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die rechte Seite
der Nachfülleinheit richtig in das Loch der
weißen Dosiereinheit passt.
3. NACHFÜLLEINHEIT WECHSELN
Um die leere Nachfülleinheit zu ersetzen,
nehmen sie das Gerät über ein Waschbecken
und drehen es auf den Kopf (um Tropfen zu
vermeiden). Drücken Sie den Entriegelungs-
knopf (LED Knopf) von beiden Seiten.
Ziehen Sie nun beide Einheiten auseinander.
Setzen Sie dann die neue Nachfülleinheit ein.

Drücken Sie dann die Nachfülleinheit nach
unten und klicken Sie beide Einheiten
zusammen. (Haben Sie Somat Smart mit Hilfe
der App erfolgreich installiert, leuchtet die
LED-Taste auf der weißen Konsole Blau)
Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie von der
Deo-Perls®Kammer.
Trennen Sie niemals eine nicht vollständig entleerte Nachfüllein-
heit vom weißen Dosierer, um Undichtigkeiten und Kontakt mit
den Reinigungsflüssigkeiten zu vermeiden.
Während der Benutzung können sich die Verschlusskappen
lösen und in den Kammern schwimmen und/oder ein Geräusch
erzeugen. Das ist ein normaler Vorgang.

Was kann ich tun, wenn ich ein defektes Paket erhalte?
Wenn das Produkt beschädigt ist, kontaktieren Sie bitte den Kundenservice, der in der Einladungs-Mail angegeben wurde.
Benötigt Somat Smart immer eine WiFi-Verbindung, sobald es eingerichtet ist?
Nein, sobald Sie Ihr Gerät mit der App ausgestattet und die Waschpräferenzen eingestellt haben, kann es autonom arbeiten. Wenn
Sie jedoch den Verschmutzungsgrad ändern wollen, muss er mit dem Internet verbunden sein, um die Einstellung zu aktualisieren.
Wenn Sie Zweifel an der Verbindung Ihres Geräts mit dem Internet haben, drücken Sie kurz auf die Taste an der Unterseite der
Gerätekonsole. Die LED zeigt den aktuellen Status Ihres Gerätes an:
Violettes Licht, nach Blauen blinken - Verbindung ist unterbrochen,
Leuchtet konstant blau - Verbindung ist stabil
Wenn Sie Probleme mit dem angeschlossenen Gerät haben, versuchen Sie, es während der Einstellung des Verschmutzungsgrades
aus der Spülmaschine zu nehmen und es näher an den Router zu bringen. Um eine schnellere Wiederverbindung mit dem WiFi
einzuleiten, drücken Sie kurz die Taste auf der Unterseite.
Wenn Sie beispielsweise den ISP (Internet Service Provider), Wi-Fi-Netzwerk-Passwort usw. geändert haben, müssen Sie die Geräte
wie jedes normale Wi-Fi-Gerät neu einrichten.
Ich probiere Somat Smart im Heim-Wi-Fi-Modus aus, aber die Verbindung kann nicht hergestellt werden. Was muss ich tun?
• Dieses Gerät ist ein Wi-Fi zertifiziertes Produkt und funktioniert wie Ihr Telefon oder Computer mit den gleichen Vorteilen und
Einschränkungen. Wenn Sie Probleme haben, das Gerät mit Ihrem Wi-Fi zu verbinden, stellen Sie folgendes sicher:
• Sie haben einen normalen ISP (Internet Service Provider) Router mit einem Wi-Fi Netzwerk, das in der Version 2.4 läuft. GHz-Fre
quenz eines drahtlosen Signals.
• Ihr ISP-Router ist ordnungsgemäß mit dem Internet verbunden. Hinweis: Überprüfen Sie den Rest Ihrer Geräte, ob diese funktionieren.
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Passwort, das Sie während des On-Boardings eingegeben haben, weiterhin funktioniert. Wenn sich
Ihr WLAN-Netzwerk-Passwort geändert hat, müssen Sie Ihre Geräte neu einrichten.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie keine Firewall haben, die Ihr Heim-WiFi vor den neuen Geräten schützt.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie die neueste Version der App haben. Wir aktualisieren die App regelmäßig, für das beste Produkterlebnis.
• Sie können Ihr Gerät jederzeit zurücksetzen, indem Sie die Taste an der Unterseite der Hauptkonsole 5 Sekunden lang drücken. Das
Gerät setzt die Wi-Fi-Verbindung zurück und ist bereit für eine Neukonfiguration.
Warum verliert das Gerät die Internetverbindung? (Blinkt Violett)
Der mögliche Grund dafür ist, dass der Entfernungsabstand zum Router zu groß ist. Bringen das Gerät näher an den Router oder
installieren Sie einen Wi-Fi-Repeater in Ihrem Heim-Wi-Fi-Netzwerk.
Wie kann man die Nachfüllpackung entfernen?
Um die leere Nachfülleinheit zu ersetzen, drehen Sie das Gerät über einem Waschbecken auf den Kopf (um Tropfen zu vermeiden),
drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf (LED-Knopf) von beiden Seiten. Ziehen Sie nun beide Einheiten auseinander. Setzen Sie dann
die neue Nachfülleinheit ein. Die rote LED Lampe erlischt, sobald Sie die neue Kartusche anschließen.
Vermeiden Sie es, dass verschüttete Reinigungsmittel zu berühren, und falls Sie es berühren, reinigen Sie bitte Ihre Hände mit Wasser.
Was kann ich tun, wenn mein Gerät undicht ist?
Trennen Sie niemals eine nicht vollständig entleerte Nachfüllvorrichtung vom weißen Dosierer, um Undichtigkeiten und Kontakt mit
den Reinigungsflüssigkeiten zu vermeiden.
Wenn das Produkt undicht ist, wenden Sie sich bitte per E-Mail an das Customer Support Center ([e-mail]).
Warum konnte ich mein Gerät nicht einrichten?
Es gibt mehrere Gründe, warum Sie Somat Smart möglicherweise nicht an das WLAN anschließen können:
a. Prüfen Sie bitte, ob Sie das richtige Wi-Fi-Passwort eingegeben haben.
b. Ein weiterer wahrscheinlicher Grund kann sein, dass das Smartphone das Heim-Wi-Fi finden kann, aber der Dispenser nicht.
Es wäre hilfreich, das Gerät näher an den Router zu bringen.
c. Es kann auch sein, dass Sie eine Firewall aktiviert haben, oder dass der Router nur für das Surfen im Web verwendet werden kann.
Der Diusor benötigt einen freien / unbegrenzten Zugang zum Internet, um zu funktionieren. Es könnte im Setup stecken bleiben,
wenn der Zugri eingeschränkt ist.
Häufig gestellte Fragen

d. Ein weiterer Grund kann sein, dass die Verbindung zum Backend-Server während der Installation fehlschlägt. In diesem Fall
versuchen Sie bitte, es erneut einzurichten.
e. Wenn Sie sehen, dass der Dispenser eingerichtet ist (er blinkt nicht mehr blau und violett), aber Ihr Einrichtungsprozess in der App
nicht abgeschlossen ist, versuchen Sie, zu den Einstellungen Ihres Telefons zu gehen und zu überprüfen, ob er sich wieder mit
Ihrem Heim-Wi-Fi verbunden hat.
» Der Dispenser blinkt immer noch blau und violett – das Gerät befindet sich noch im Setup-Modus. Wahrscheinlich wurden die
Einstellungen nicht richtig gesendet oder das WiFi-Passwort war nicht korrekt. Sie sollten den Installationsvorgang wiederholen.
» Keine LED Anzeige. Drücken Sie die schwarze Taste an der Unterseite der Konsole, um den Status der Zapfsäule zu überprüfen.
• blinkt grün - das Gerät ist als oine konfiguriert. Um es in die App einzubinden, drücken Sie die Taste auf der Unterseite der
weißen Konsole für 5 Sekunden und starten Sie das Onboarding in der App.
• blinkt blau - das Gerät ist mit dem Wi-Fi verbunden. Stellen Sie jedoch sicher, dass das WiFi ein korrektes Signal mit dem Internet liefert.
• blinkt Violett - das Gerät versucht, sich mit dem WiFi zu verbinden, kann aber aufgrund des Fehlens des WiFi-Signals oder eines
falschen Passworts keine Verbindung aufbauen.
Kann ich Somat Smart nutzen, ohne mit der App verbunden zu sein? Wenn ja, wie geht das Schritt für Schritt?
Für ein optimales Produkterlebnis, empfehlen wir dringend die Verwendung mit der App, auch wenn Sie das Gerät mit gewissen
Einschränkungen oine nutzen können. (Benutzerdefinierte Reinigungsmodi einstellen, Verbleibende Anzahl an Waschgänge
einsehen, Automatische Nachbestellung, Erinnerung an Maschinenpflege und Geschirrspültipps erhalten)
Wollen sie Somat Smart dennoch ohne App nutzen, legen Sie dazu einfach die Batterie ein und lassen Sie das Gerät für fünf Minuten
stehen, bis die LED Anzeige nicht mehr blau/violett leuchtet. Das Gerät geht in den Oine-Modus, danach können Sie es in die
Spülmaschine stellen.
Worin besteht der Unterschied zwischen einem "einmaligen" und einem "normalen" Modus?
Die regulären Modi wiederholen sich für jede weitere Wäsche. Sie wurden speziell für den täglichen Gebrauch entwickelt. Für die
besonderen Anlässe wurden einmalige Modi angelegt. Sie werden nur einmal verwendet, und das Gerät kehrt im nächsten Zyklus
automatisch in den normal Modus zurück.
Wie kann ich einen Modus ändern?
Verwenden Sie die Soma Smart App, um den Modus vor dem Waschen zu ändern. Nach Beginn des Waschzyklus gibt es keine
Möglichkeit, den Modus zu ändern.
Welcher Modus wird eingestellt, wenn ich das Gerät ohne App benutze?
Ohne App wird der Standardmodus, für 25 Waschgänge pro Nachfülleinheit, eingestellt.
Ist die LED Anzeige am Gerät während der Benutzung immer aktiv?
Nein, die LED Anzeige leuchtet nur, wenn sie sich im Setup-Modus befindet, oder wenn der Benutzer die Geräte-App durch Drücken
der Taste an der Unterseite der Konsole aktiviert.
Kann ich Somat Smart in jeder Geschirrspülmaschine verwenden?
Ja, Sie können es in jeder Geschirrspülmaschine verwenden. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät die Sprüharme Ihrer Geschirrspülma
schine nicht blockiert. Wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind, überprüfen Sie dies vor dem Start, indem Sie dem Sprüharm oben und unten
einen kleinen Anstoß geben. Dieser sollten Ihr Gerät nicht berühren.
Kann ich Somat Smart mit jeder Art von Reinigungszyklus in der Geschirrspülmaschine verwenden?
Ja. Wir empfehlen, das Eco Programm Ihrer Geschirrspülmaschine zu verwenden. Der Öko-Zyklus ist der ezienteste Zyklus in
Bezug auf Energie- und Wasserverbrauch sowie Leistung. Natürlich arbeitet Somat Smart in jedem Zyklus (außer der Vorwäsche).
Somat Smart passt sich dem gewählten Zyklus an und dosiert die richtige Menge an Reinigungsmitteln zur richtigen Zeit.
Muss ich Salz oder Klarspüler einfüllen/nachfüllen und mein Geschirr abspülen?
Bis zu einer Wasserhärte von 21°Gh müssen Sie kein Salz einfüllen. Wenn Sie noch Salz im Salzbehälter haben, hat das keinen
negativen Einfluss auf die Leistung. Somat Smart enthält einen Klarspüler und dosiert diesen zum richtigen Zeitpunkt im Geschirr
spülgang. Daher müssen Sie auch keinen Klarspüler nachfüllen. Wenn Sie den Klarspüler noch im Fach haben, reduzieren Sie die
Dosierung bitte auf das Minimum, um eine Überdosierung zu vermeiden oder die Dosierung zu deaktivieren. Bitte lesen Sie in der
Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Geschirrspülers nach, wie dies geht.

still would like to use Somat Smart, we recommend
to use the mode ‘Pots’ as cleaning mode in the app.

coin again. (If right positioned, the LED

*If the LED is not blinking blue & purple, check that you
inserted the battery in the right direction.
If yes, touch the reset button 2 seconds. If it still does
not blink, press the reset button 10 seconds and you
can onboard the product again.
If still the LED does not blink, it definitely means that
the battery was wrongly inserted.

the lower basket - with the white dosing unit
facing downwards:

As you lower the refill down, ensure proper
fit of the right side of the device into the
hole.
3. CHANGE THE REFILL UNIT
To replace the empty refill unit turn the
device upside down above a sink (to avoid
drops), press the release button (LED
button) from both sides. Now pull both units
apart. Then insert the new refill unit.

units into place. (If you have successfully
installed the app, the LED on the white
console lights up blue)
Remove the protective film from the Deo-
Perls® chamber.
Never disconnect a not fully emptied refill unit from the white
dosing unit, to avoid leakage and contact with the cleaning
fluids.
During use, the closure caps can come loose and float in the
detergent chambers and/or make a noise by movement .

What can I do when I receive a broken package
If the product is damaged, please contact the customer support, specified in the invitation e-mail.
Once the Somat Smart is set up, does it always need a WiFi connection.
No, once you have onboarded your device with the app and set the washing preferences it can work autonomously. However, if you
need to change the soiling degree it should be connected to the Internet to get an updated setting.
In case you have doubts regarding connection of your device to the Internet, shortly press the reset button on the bottom of the
device console. The LED will reflect the current status of your device:
Violet blinking after a few blue flashes – connection is lost,
Constant blue blinking – connection is stable.
If you are experiencing any issues with the connected device, try to take it out from the dishwasher while setting up the soiling
degree and move it closer to the router. To initiate a faster reconnection to the WiFi, shortly press the button on the bottom.
If you have been changing something like ISP (Internet Service Provider), Wi-Fi network password, etc., you will have to set up the
devices again like any normal Wi-Fi enabled device.
I am trying Somat Smart in the home Wi-Fi condition, but its connection is not easy. How to deal with it?
• his device is a Wi-Fi certified product and works like your phone or computer with the same advantages and limitations. If you have
problems to connect the device to your Wi-Fi, make sure that:
• You have a normal ISP (Internet Service Provider) router with a Wi-Fi Network running in the 2.4. Ghz frequency of a wireless signal.
• Your ISP router is properly connected to the internet. Hint: Check the rest of your devices if they are working.
• Make sure that the password you have introduced during the on-boarding still works. If your Wi-Fi network password has been
changed, you have to set up your devices again.
• Make sure that you have no Firewall protecting your home WiFi from the new devices.
• Make sure that you have the latest version for the App. We are updating the App to make sure that your experience will be the best.
• You can always reset your device by pressing the button on the bottom of the main console for 5 seconds. The device will reset the
Wi-Fi connection and will be ready for the re-onboarding.
Why does the device lose internet connection? (Blinking Violet)
The possible reason is that the range distance to the router is too large. Bring the dispenser closer to the router or install a Wi-Fi
Repeater in your home Wi-Fi network.
How to remove the refill?
To replace the empty refill unit turn the device upside down above a sink (to avoid drops), press the release button from both sides.
Now pull both units apart. Then insert the new refill unit. The red LED will stop as soon as you connect the new cartridge.
Avoid touching the spill detergent and in case you touch please clean your hands with water.
What can I do when my device is leaking?
Never disconnect a not fully emptied refill unit from the white dosing unit, to avoid leakage and contact with the cleaning fluids.

Why couldn’t I set up my device? I have been trying this for many times.
There are multiple reasons why you may not be able to connect the dispenser to the Wi-Fi:
a. The most seen issue is that you have typed in the wrong Wi-Fi password.
b. Another likely reason can be that the smartphone can find the home Wi-Fi, but the dispenser cannot. It would be helpful to bring
the dispenser closer to the router.
c. It might be also possible that you have activated a firewall, or the router is limited to use for web browsing. The diuser needs a
free / unlimited access to the internet to work. It could be stuck in setup, if the access is limited.

d. Another reason might be that the connection to the backend server fails during setup. In this case, please try to set it up again.
e. If you see that dispenser is set up (stopped blinking blue and violet) but your setup process in the App is not completed, try to go
to the settings of the phone and check if it has reconnected to your home Wi-Fi.
» Dispenser is still blinking blue and violet – the device is still in the setup mode. Probably the settings were not sent properly or the
WiFi password was not correct. You should repeat the installation process.
» No LED. Press the black button on the bottom of the console to check the dispenser status.
• If it is blinking green – the device is configured as oine. To onboarded it in the app, press the button for 5 seconds and initiate the
onboarding in the app.
• If it is blinking blue – the device is connected to the Wi-Fi. However, make sure that the WiFi provides a proper signal with the Internet.
• If it is blinking violet – the device is trying to connect to the WiFi, but cannot succeed due to lack of the WiFi signal or wrong
password.
Can I use Somat Smart without being connected to the app? If so, how to do it step by step?
To enjoy and use Somat Smart, we strongly recommend using with the App even though you can use the device oine with certain
limitations. (e.g. Set Customized Cleaning Modes, See Remaining Number of Washing Cycles. Reorder Refill Automatically, Get
Reminder for Machine Cleaning & Dishwashing Tips).
If you still want to use Somat Smart without the app, just plug in the battery and leave it for five minutes, until the LED light stops
blinking blue/violet. The device will go into the oine mode, afterwards you can place it in a dishwasher.
What is the dierence between a ‘one-time’ and ‘regular’ modes?
Regular modes are repetitive for any next wash. They were designed especially for the daily usage. One-time modes were created for
the special occasions. They will only be used once, and the device will automatically to back to the regular mode in the next cycle.
How can I change a mode?
Use the Soma Smart app to change the mode before any wash. Once the wash cycle has been started there is no possibility to
change the mode, as the algorithm is prepared at the beginning of the wash cycle.
What mode is set, when I use the device without an app?
The standard mode for 25 Wash cycles per cartridge.
Is the LED on the device always active while using? Or is the LED light only active in application stage?
The LED is on only when it is in the setup mode, or when user wakes the device app by pressing the button on the bottom of the
console.
Can I use it in every dishwasher?
You can use it in every dishwasher. Make sure that the device does not block the spray arms of your dishwasher. If you are not sure
check before starting by giving the spray arm in the top and bottom a little kick. They should not touch your device.
Can I use it with any kind of dishwasher cleaning cycle?
We recommend using the Eco cycle on your dishwasher. The Eco cycle is the most ecient cycle in terms of energy and water
consumption and performance. Of course, Somat Smart works in every cycle (except the pre-wash). Somat Smart adapts to the
chosen cycle and dispenses the right amount of detergents at the right time.
Do I have to fill in salt and rinse?
Up to a water hardness of 21°Gh you don´t need to fill in salt. Anyway, if you have salt in the salt container it does not negatively
influence the performance. Somat Smart contains rinser in a separate compartment and doses the rinser at the right time in the
dishwashing cycle. Therefore, you don´t need to refill the rinse aid compartment. If you still have rinser in the compartment, please
reduce the dosage to the minimum amount to avoid any overdosage or disable dosage. Please refer to your dishwasher’s manual.
