and guidelines laid out in these instructions.
The Greenfire pellet stove is approved under EN 14785; NS 3058/3059; Austria’s 15a; DIN
plus
These approvals are your guarantee as a consumer that the pellet stove meets a number of spe-
cifications and requirements which confirm that the stove is made of high-quality materials, that it
is economical to use, and it is not harmful to the environment.
Please read these instructions for use carefully prior to installation and operation to avoid perso-
nal injury or damage to building parts or the product itself.

1. Introduction
NB !!!
We advise you to read these instructions care-
fully, as they describe what you need to do to
ensure your Greenfire pellet stove functions to
its full potential.
Warning
The regulations relating to installation and func-
tion described in these instructions may differ
from the applicable regulations in the destina-
tion country. If this is the case, the regulations
applicable in the destination must be observed.
Drawings in these instructions are approximate
and not to scale.
Description of the stove
The aim of these instructions for use and ser-
vicing from Heta is to give the user all the ne-
cessary safety information, in order to prevent
any personal injury or damage to stove com-
ponents or other items. Please read these in-
structions carefully before using or performing
maintenance on the appliance.
2. Information
The packaging used provides good protection
against damage that might arise during trans-
portation of the stove. Please check the stove
immediately upon delivery. If you notice any
visible signs of damage, contact your dealer
without delay.
2.1 Safety information
Please read these instructions regarding use
and maintenance carefully before installing and
lighting the stove! If you need further informa-
tion, please contact the dealer from whom you
purchased the stove.
NOTE
The stove has extra protection in line with po-
wer regulations, and must have an earthed
electrical connection.
Only quality pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm
should be used as fuel.
Before connecting power to the stove, make
sure that the connection between the stove
pipe and chimney is in place.
Never remove the protective grate above the
pellet tank.
The stove must be installed in a room with ade-
quate air replacement.
Never open the stove door while the stove is
operating. When the stove is lit, the surfaces,
glass, handle and stove pipe will be very hot.
While the stove is operating, these components
may only be touched if wearing appropriate
protection.
2.2 General information
The Greenfire pellet stove must only be instal-
led in residential environments. The stove has
fully automatic control, ensuring controlled
combustion. The control system manages the
ignition process, five heat levels and shutdown,
ensuring that the stove functions correctly.
The design of the bowl used for combustion
ensures that most of the ash from the pellets
falls into an ash drawer. However, you should
check the burn pot each day, as not all pellets
are of equal quality.
Air flow is used to help keep the glass clean,
however it is impossible to avoid the glass be-
coming sullied after some usage.
Only pellets 6-8 mm in diameter should be
used as fuel in the Greenfire pellet stove.

2.3 Liability
By providing these instructions, Heta A/S dis-
claims all liability, both personal and statutory,
for any accidents that may arise due to failure
– either fully or in part – to observe the instruc-
tions enclosed herein.
Heta A/S disclaims all liability in relation to in-
correct use of the stove, abnormal usage by
the customer, unauthorised replacement and/
or repair, or the use of non-original spare parts
for this model
The manufacturer disclaims all liability, both
personal and statutory, direct and indirect,
attributable to:
• Inadequate maintenance
• Failure to observe the instructions in this
manual
• Failure to observe safety directions
• Irregular installation with failure to ob
serve applicable standards in the
destination country
• Installation carried out by unqualified or
untrained personnel
• Replacement or repair not authorised by
the manufacturer
• Use of non-original spare parts
• Extraordinary events
If you have any questions concerning your
pellet stove, Heta strongly recommends that
you contact your dealer immediately.
2.4 Spareparts
Use only original spare parts.
2.5 Safety systems
Greenfire pellet stoves are equipped with ad-
vanced safety systems to prevent damage
to the stove or residential environment which
could arise due to a fault in the appliance or
inadequate maintenance, chimney draught, etc.
If a fault occurs, pellet feeding ceases and the
stove shuts down automatically.
The stove has the following three safety
systems:
C. The pressure sensor measures whether
there is sufficient draught in the chimney. If
problems with inadequate draft or a blocked
chimney arise, the pressostat shuts down the
stove. [Error E109]
A. Thermal protection shuts down the stove if
the temperature in the wood pellet tank
becomes too high (85°C). [Error E108]
B. The thermal sensor in the pellet tank activa-
tes at 82°C and automatically reduces
the heat level. If this fails to achieve a drop in
temperature, the thermal protection (1) is
activated
(press the reset button to
reactivate the stove)

3. Dimensions, installation and ignition.
3.1 Dimensions

If positioned as shown, a minimum distance of
70 mm must be maintained from the walls.
3.2. Placement.
The position of the stove within the home will
have a major impact on heat distribution.
Before deciding where to place the stove, it is
important to consider the following:
a) The air supply for combustion must
come from a ventilated room or an open
outdoor area.
b) Installation in a bedroom is not advised.
c) The stove must be installed in a spaci-
ous and central location in the house to
ensure the best heat distribution.
3.3 Proximity to combustible materials.
• Stove sides 150 mm
• Behind stove 70 mm
• Furniture in front of stove 700 mm

17mm spanner as shown.
Adjusting the level of the stove,
is done as shown below.
3.4 Temporary power failure
If the power failure only lasts a few seconds,
the stove will restart and function normally. The
control system automatically shuts down the
stove in the event of protracted power failure.
The duration of the shutdown phase may vary
greatly, depending on the stove temperature.
3.5 Installation
The following directions may vary, depending
on regional or national directives.
Applicable legislation in the country in which
the stove is being installed must always be
respected. If in doubt, contact your authorised
Heta dealer.
Your Greenfire pellet stove must be installed by
a technician trained by HETA A/S.

3.6 The stove’s flue gas system
The flue gas system is dependent on a slight
underpressure in th e combustion chamber and
it is very important that the chimney exhausts
to outside air and not to an enclosed or semi-
enclosed room such as a garage, corridor, attic
or anywhere else where the flue gases could
become concentrated.
The chimney must always be installed in
accordance with national and regional
regulations
3.7 Chimney draught.
Operation of the Greenfire pellet stove is partly
independent of the chimney draught, as the
flue gas vacuum pump assists in removing
smoke from the combustion chamber. Howe-
ver, if there is a strong chimney draught, we
recommend a draught stabiliser be installed.
Otherwise the chimney will overrun the flue
vacuum pump, resulting in too much combu-
stion. The stove operates best with a chimney
draught of 4 pascals (used for testing/approval)
in a chimney with a diameter of 80 mm
3.8 External air supply.
In hermetically closed environments with little
air replacement it can be difficult to supply
enough air for the combustion and it may be
necessary to supply extra air to the room.
3.9 No ignition in the burn pot.
During the ignition phase, it may be the case
that the stove fails to develop a flame. If the
stove fails to ignite, the control system will shut
down the stove and report an error ( no pellets )
Before the first ignition.
1) Read these instructions carefully before
lighting the stove.
2) Install the control panel and cable
supplied.
3) Correctly connect the pellet stove to the
chimney
4) Fill the pellet tank (diameter 6–8 mm)
5) Open the door and check that the
burnpot is in place in the frame and that
the baffleplate is at the top of the
combustion chamber
6) Close the stove door. Never open
the stove door while the stove is
operating.
7) Roll out the room temperature sensor
placed at the rear of the stove and
ensure it is not in contact with hot
surfaces.
8) Connect the stove to a power outlet
using the cable supplied.
9) Use the control panel to configure all
personal settings and then start the stove.
(See the section on operating the stove)
NB:
The first time the stove is lit it is important to
ventilate the environment very well, as an
unpleasant odour may arise during the first
few hours of operation as the paint hardens.
Allow the stove to operate at the highest level
for a few hours to ensure the paint is harde-
ned the first time the stove is used, so the
unpleasant odour does not occur again.

4.1 Warnings and recommendations
4.1.1 Warnings
Exposure to water and other liquids:
Avoid the possibility of water or other liquids
coming in contact with the electronics. Any
contact of water or other liquids may damage
the electronics, cause malfunctions or failure
and pose a threat to life.
Recommendations
Cleaning:
To clean the Heta Premium Display gently wipe
it with a dry cloth. To remove grease stains
gently wipe the unit using a cloth with a mini-
mum amount of mild detergent.
To deactivate the Heta Premium Display for 30
seconds, see chapter 4.5.0 displaycleaning.
4.2 Getting started
4.2.1 Removing the transparent protective
film
It is recommended that you remove the protec-
tive film before using the Heta Premium Display
to guarantee the best performance of the sen-
sitive (touch) surface.
4.2.2 Connecting the heating device to the
power supply
Connect the heating device to the power sup-
ply (follow the instructions of your heating
device)..
4.2.3 Setting the language
Set the desired language (for details see chap-
ter 4.5.6)
4.2.4 Setting the date and time
Set the correct date and time on the Heta
Premium Display (for details see chapter 4.2.4).
4.3 Turning the heating device on/off.
4.3.1 Changing/selecting the operating power
level
The Heta Premium Display allows you to switch
between 5 different power levels.
- Tap on to enter the Main menu.
- Set the desired power level from 1 to 5 (AUTO).
- 1 = 2.5kW 5 = 9.0kW
4.3.2 Target temperature
Depending on the heating devices configuration,
Heta Premium Display allows you to set the
desired target temperature of the room.
4.3.3 Setting the target temperature
- Tap on to enter the Temperature menu and
set the desired (target) temperature.
(The temperature changes are saved immediately,
not needed to be confirmed.)
The display in the Temperature menu shows:
- Currently set temperature - displayed with big
numbers.
- Actual temperature - displayed with small num-
bers.
- Temperature unit - upper right corne.
4.3.4 Start manually through Heta Premium
Display
a: Hold for 3 seconds the center of the screen.

for 3 seconds to turn ON the heating device
4.2.5 Setting the temperature unit
Set the temperature unit (°C or °F) you want to
be appeared on the Heta Premium Display
(for details see chapter 4.5.1).

4.3.5 Stop through Heta Premium Display
For turning OFF the heating device tap on
to enter the Main menu and hold for
3 seconds.
4.3.6 Manually through IR remote control
unit
4.3.7 Automatically by using the ”delayed
start/stop” option
The Heta Premium Display allows you to set up
the time delay for starting/stopping the heating
device. It offers a possibility of selecting the
delays of 30 minutes, 1h, 2h, 3h and 8h.
For enabling the Delayed start/stop option:
- Tap on to enter the Delayed start/stop
menu, select the desired time delay and con-
firm it by tapping
OK
.
When Delayed start/stop option is selected,
the indication appears in the upper row of the
display. In addition, the remaining time count
down appears when the display enters to idle
mode.
For disabling the Delayed start/stop option:
- Tap on to enter the Delayed start/stop
menu and tap on ”DISABLE”.

4.3.8 Automatically by weekly timers
The Heta Premium Display allows you to set up
to 6 different time intervals (Time Interval = Ti).
Maximum 3 of them can be used per day.
4.3.9 Setting the weekly timers
For setting the Weekly timers:
- Tap on to enter the Timers menu and tap
on ’’Add new timer’’.
- Set the time interval (Time start, Time Finish
and Temperature)
- Set the days you want the time interval to be
used, by tapping on:
M, T, W, T, F, S, S.
- Confirm by tapping
- If you need another timer, tap on ’’Add new
timer’’ and repeat the procedure.
- If you want to delete a timer, select the timer
you want to delete (by tapping on it) and then
tap on . The display will ask you ‘’Do you
really want to delete this timer?’’, confirm with
‘’YES’’, or in case you change your mind, can-
cel with ‘’NO’’, or with .
- After setting all the timers, the timer mode has
to be enabled, if you want that the heating de-
vice operates according to your timers settings.
For enabling the timer mode, tap on in
the timers menu. When timer mode is selected,
the indication appears in the upper row of
the display.
- For disabling the timer mode, tap on
in the Timers menu.

Note:
If the actual temperature is already higher than the target temperature inside a time interval which
has to be appeared, the heating device will not be turned ON automatically until the actual tempe-
rature falls under time intervals target temperature (if the time interval is still active).

4.4.2 Checking the statistics
The Heta controller, installed on your heating
device, monitors the combustion system ope-
ration and provides different information about
the usage of the heating device, like ”Heating
time”, ”Average temperature”, ”Total consump-
tion” and ”Average power”. The system shows
all this information for different time periods:
Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days,
Last 90 days, Last 6 months, Last year and
from the beginning.
For seeing the Statistics:
Tap on to enter the Statistics menu and tap
on the desired time period.
If you want to delete the statistics, tap on .
The display will ask you ”Do you really want to
delete statistic log?” confirm with ”YES” or in
case you change your mind, cancel with ”NO”,
or with .
4.4.3. Settings
4.4.4 Date and time
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ”Time” to enter the Time menu, set
the time and day and confirm with
OK
.
- Tap on ”Date” to enter the Date menu, set the
time and confirm with
OK
.
Note:
Pay attention in setting up the date and time
properly. Otherwise the weekly timers will not
be performed when needed.
4.4.5 Setting the fuel quality
Heta Premium Display allows you to select up
to 3 different qualities for pellets.
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ”Fuel”.
- Set the ”Pellets Quality” from 1 to 3
Note:
The meaning of qualities 1, 2 and 3 are
provided by Heta A/S
4.4.7 Display options
Inside the Display options menu, Heta Premium
Display allows you to:
- Set the display brightness
- Select the screens to be displayed in idle
mode
- Activate the display cleaning function
For entering the Display options menu, tap on
and then ”Display options”.
4.4.8 Display brightness
The Heta Premium Display offers different pos-
sibilities of adapting the display brightness.
The brightness can be adapted manually or
automatically, thanks to an integrated ambient
light sensor.
Inside the ”Display brightness” menu you are
able to:
- Activate/deactivate automatic adaptation to
the ambient brightness:
Enter the Display brightness menu and tap on
for enabling or for disabling the
automatic adaptation to the ambient bright-
ness.
4.4.6 Antifreeze temperature
The Heta Premium Display allows you to set
the minimum ambient temperature to be main-
tained. For example, if you are not at home
for a few days and the weather gets extremely
cold, there is a risk, that the temperature inside
the house may fall under the freezing point and
damage the water pipes inside the walls of your
house.
To setup the antifreeze temperature, follow the
steps below:
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ”Antifreeze” set the desired antifreeze
temperature, or disable the antifreeze operation
and confirm the setting with
OK
.
- Settings from 3 – 20°C - Antifreeze mode
enabled (the temperature setpoint will be main-
tained)
- Setting to OFF -.Antifreeze mode disabled.

Setup the brightness of the display when active
(only when automatic mode disabled):
Enter the Display brightness menu and set the
”Active bright.” to a desired value
(MIN, 2, 3, 4, or MAX)
Setup the brightness of the display when switc-
hed to idle mode, so after 30 seconds of inacti-
vity (only when automatic mode disabled).
Enter the Display brightness menu and set the
”Idle disp. bright.” to a desired value
(OFF, MIN, 2, 3, 4, or MAX))
Note:
If automatic brightness adaptation is enabled,
options b and c are disabled and not present in
the Display brightness menu.
4.4.9 Idle display mode
The Heta Premium Display automatically swit-
ches to idle mode after 30 seconds of inactivity
and exits from it when touched again. The Idle
display mode menu offers some possibilities of
activating/deactivating different screens when
switched to idle mode.
Enter the Idle display mode menu and tap on
for enabling, or for disabling the
screen(s) you would like to be displayed in idle
mode. In case more than one screen is enab-
led, the display will automatically switch bet-
ween them in 10 seconds steps.
4.5 Display cleaning
The Heta Premium Display includes a functio-
nality, which makes the display inactive for 30
seconds. This allows you to clean its surface
easier (if needed), because you prevent acci-
dental changes to the settings. If the default 30
seconds are not enough to clean the display,
you can reactivate the ”Display cleaning” func-
tion again.
To activate this function, enter the Display
cleaning menu and tap on
START
.
Note:
In case the heating device turns ON automati-
cally (by timer, room thermostat, mobile APP,
etc.) while the display cleaning function is still
active, the cleaning gets interrupted immedia-
tely.
When the display ”cleaning function” is acti-
vated, the display in inactive.
The Display ”cleaning function” cannot be acti-
vated when the heating device is in operation
4.5.1 Temperature unit (°C/°F)
The Heta Premium Display allows you to choo-
se between displaying the temperature in
°C (degrees Celsius) or in °F (degrees Fahren-
heit).
To select the desired temperature unit, follow
the steps below:
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ”Temperature unit” and select the
desired unit and confirm with
OK
4.5.2 Speaker volume
Heta Premium Display allows you to set the
volume of the integrated speaker, or to turn it
completely OFF.
To set the desired speaker volume, follow the
steps below:
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ’’Speaker volume’’, set the desired
volume and confirm with
OK

4.5.3 Manual feeding
Before turning on your heating device for the
first time (or in case you ran out of combu-
stible), the feeder screw may be completely
empty and due to this fact the first ignition may
fail. To avoid this unwanted situation, Heta
Premium display allows you to refill the feeder
screw before starting up the heating device.
To activate the manual feeding, follow the
steps below:
- Tap on and then on ”Manual feed” to enter
the Manual feed menu.
Activate the manual feeding by holding the
”FEED” icon. After holding the icon for 30
seconds, the manual feeding will be automati-
cally deactivated again. If 30 seconds were not
enough to refill the feeder, hold the icon again.
Repeat it untill the pellets starts to fall con-
stantly into the burning pot.
4.5.4 Time to service
The Heta Premium Display allows you to check
the time when you should contact the service
personnel to perform regular maintenance on
your combustion system.
To check the time to service, follow the steps
below:
- Tap on to enter the Settings menu.
- Tap on ”Time to service” and the time remai-
ning untill the service must be performed will
be shown on the screen. This value is read-only
and can be modified by authorised personnel
only. After checking the time to service, close
the window with
OK
or .
Note:
When the time to service expires, the Heta Pre-
mium Display warns you by displaying the A002
alert (Call service for regular maintenance). The
heating device is still operational. To reset this
alert, call authorised personnel.
4.5.5 Screenlock
The Heta Premium Display allows you to lock
the screen in order to prevent accidental chan-
ges of the settings. With the screen lock en-
abled, you can navigate the menu to display
current values, but you cannot edit any of the
settings, except the screen lock itself. Note that
this option does not disable the Heta remote
control.
The screen lock setting offers the following
options:
OFF
: The screen lock is disabled, all func-
tions are available.
LOW
: Impossible to change settings, only
possible to turn ON/OFF the heating device.
When this option is selected, the icon appe-
ars in upper row of the display.
HI
: all the functions are locked (also tur-
ning ON/OFF the heating device), only return
to LOW or OFF option is enabled). When this
option is selected, the icon appears in up-
per row of the display.
Note:
When the Screen lock function is set to LOW or
HI, all the disabled options are light grey
coloured.
Tip
We recommend you to use the screen lock op-
tion if children are able to access the keyboard
without adult supervision.
To use the screen lock function, follow the
steps below::
- Tap on and then on ”Screen lock” to enter
the Screen lock menu.
- Select the desired locking level (OFF, LO, HI)
and exit from the Screen lock menu by tapping
on .

4.5.6 Language
The Heta Premium Display allows you to choose
between different languages.
To set the desired language, follow the steps
below:
- Tap on and then on ”Language” to enter the
Language menu.
- Tap on the desired language and the display
will ask you ”Do you really want to change
language?’’, confirm with ”YES” or in case you
change your mind, cancel with ”NO”, or with .
Note:
After changing the language, the display will re-
start automatically. This may take a few minutes.
4.5.7 Info
To check some technical information about the
display, follow the steps below:
- Tap on and then on ’’Info’’ to enter the Info
menu.
4.5.8 Tips
For easier usage of the Heta Premium display
you can make use of the tips.
- Tap on to enter the Tips menu.
- Tap on the Tip you would like to read. After
reading the tip, tap on to navigate back.
Note:
All the texts in this menu are read only (cannot be
modified).
If the text of the tip is too long for being dis-
played on a single screen, there is a possibility to
scroll down by swiping the finger in UP/DOWN
direction.
5.1 Filling wood pellets
A. Push the button downwards as shown.
B. The pellet lid now opens.
C. Open the lid full and fill in pellets.
D. ATTENTION !

Be sure to advance the pellets manually using
the display until pellets appear in the burn pot.
This ensures the correct start-up sequence. Remember to close the lid again !

5.2 Explanation
What are wood pellets?
Wood pellets is made of sawdust or shavings.
The used material must not contain foreign
elements, such as glue or varnish, which are
synthetic substances. Under high temperatures
the tree is pressed through a die with holes.
Due to the strong pressure, the chips become
overheated and activate the natural binders of
the wood.
In this way, the pellets maintain their shape
without the addition of any form of binder. The
density of the pellets varies depending on the
type of tree, and it may be 1.5 - 2 times larger
than natural wood.
The cylindrical wood pellets have a diameter
of 6 - 8 mm and a variable length between 10
and 40 mm. Their weight is about 650 kg / m3
because of the low water content (8-10%) they
have a high amount of energy.
Heta A/S recommends using ENplus -A1 quality pellets to get the most out of their pellet stove.
The pellets must be transported unconditionally
and stored dry. If they come into contact with
moisture, they swell very much and thus become
useless. Therefore, they must be protected
against moisture during transport and storage.
Quality Classes:
The ENplus certification scheme defines three
pellet quality classes. They are based on the
classes of ISO 17225-2 and are named:
a. ENplus -A1
b. ENplus -A2
c. EN -B
The types of wood indicated in Table 2 can be
used according to the standard ISO 17225-2 as
raw material for the production of wood pellets.
The raw material assortments are defined in
ISO 17225-1.

6 Cleaning and Service.
6.1 Daily Cleaning.
Cleaning the burn pot
A clean burn pot is essential to ensure the
pellet stove operates correctly and without
problems. During operation, baked on ash
deposits will develop and must be regularly
removed (as required), as these impede correct
combustion. Correct daily cleaning will ensure
the stove has optimal combustion and good
performance, and avoid operational failures
which may ultimately require assistance from a
technician to return the stove to working order.
Clean also the hole in which the burn pot sits,
as ash which falls through the burn pot will
impede airflow.
6.2 Weekly Cleaning
Cleaning the ash pan
The ash pan must be emptied about once a
week, depending on how often the stove is in
operation and the quality of the pellets.
Open the lower stove door to access the ash
pan.
Note: This is done when both the stove and the
ashes are cold.
Important ! Remember to replace the ash pan
again.
Cleaning the combustion chamber
The stove requires light but regular cleaning to
ensure stable operation. Clean the combustion
chamber every 2-3 days, for example using a
vacuum cleaner. Ensure that the ash is com-
pletely cool and all embers are extinguished.
NB: The combustion chamber stone are a
porous material and should be treated
accordingly.
Cleaning the glass
Clean the glass whenever necessary. Depen-
ding on the pellet quality and heat level used
(a low heat level leads to more dirt/deposits),
deposits will eventually form on the glass. The-
se can be removed using paper or a cloth and
glass cleaning agent. If the deposits are hard/
baked on, you can use a plastic pot scourer
and glass cleaning agent.
