How to Connect Card Reader to Door Station
Preparation
Connecting card reader to door station is mainly applied to swiping card to open the door for exiting.
Door station in this document means DS-KD8102-V and DS-KD8002-IM, and card reader in this
document means DS-K1100M series card readers.
In this document, the door station version is V1.4.20/V1.4.22; the iVMS-4200 client version is V2.6.1.6.
Notice
1. Please cut off power supply before wiring;
2. Please refer to the following pictures of interfaces of door station, RS485 interface and READER
interface in the following picture are for card reader, so there are two optional ways of wiring;
3. Please check the rear panel of card reader and unscrew it, you could find DIP switch module;
The No. of DIP switch from left to right is 1~8:

Step 1:
Please set the DIP switch firstly before connecting the card reader, the binary value of the card reader
is1000 0000, please set as the following picture;

Please connect card reader to door station as following picture:

Step 3:
Supply power to door station, and add door station to iVMS-4200 client or Batch Configuration Tool;
Step 4:
Enter Remote Configuration interface, find System RS485, configure as picture;
Step 5:
Issue card on door station or iVMS-4200 client, and test whether card reader works or not;

Mothed 2: Wiegand Wiring
Step 1:
Please connect card reader to door station as following picture;
Step 2:
Supply power to door station and issue card on door station or iVMS-4200 client, and test whether card
reader works or not;
