Ensure unit is properl secured to a rack or shelf. Major shocks or jolts to the unit as a result of dropping it ma cause damage to the sensitive electronics
within the unit.

Use the device in conjunction with a UPS if possible.

Power down the unit before connecting and disconnecting accessories and peripherals.

A factor recommended HDD should be used for this device.

Summary
The new DS-2CExxDFT-F Series cameras not onl provide 7 x 24 full-color monitoring, but also can now activate a
flashing light action when certain events are detected.
The connected DVR must be an –M Series device running firmware v4.20.200. If the camera is connected to a
different DVR, Trigger Alarm Output will be enabled automaticall and cannot not be changed.
Configuring a DS-2CExxDFT-F ColorVu Camera
Smart Light Configuration
1. Go to ain enu > Smart Light to turn on/off the supplement light.
2. Set the following settings, as desired:
•Light
-Off (Default): Supplement light is off
-Auto: Controls the light according to the environment’s illumination.

•Threshold (1 to 3): Sets device sensitivit . The higher the value, the easier the light will turn on.
•Level (1 to 5): Sets the maximum light intensit . If set to 5, it could reach the maximum intensit
level, however the actual intensit is controlled b the camera according to the ambient
illumination.
Linkage Action Configuration
1. In the DVR local configuration interface, Configuration > Event > Smart Event, there is a new
flashing light alarm linkage action.
2. Click the setting icon to set the arming schedule.

3. If ou successfull configure the flashing light alarm, the next time an event is detected, it will
flash for five seconds, then stop.
