Welcome
to Hive
This guide tells you everything
you need to know to use your
Hive Active Plug.
If you’re new to Hive, please see the user guide
provided with your Hive Hub to set up your Hive
account. Your Hive Active Plug will allow you
to turn appliances on or off remotely and set
schedules for when they are on.

Getting started:
1Add your Hive Active Plug
You can do this using your Hive app
or the online dashboard.
Using the Hive app:
• Open the Hive app on your smartphone
or tablet. You may be asked to log-in.
• Tap the Menu button and then
Install devices, then follow the
on-screen instructions.
Using the online dashboard:
• Log in to your Hive account at
hivehome.com
• Under Settings select Install devices,
then follow the on-screen instructions.
2Plug it in and switch the power socket on
Once plugged in the LED light on the front
of your plug will begin to flash amber while it
searches to find your hub.
Once your Hive Active Plug appears on the
screen, you can name it and press Save to
complete setup.

Remember: To use your Hive Active Plug leave
the device and the power to the electrical outlet
switched on, including the extension cable if you’re
using one.
3That’s it!
The LED light on your Hive Active Plug
will stop flashing amber once connected.
Now you can plug in the device you’d
like to control remotely. When your Hive
Active Plug is turned on the LED light will
be solid purple.

If for any reason you need to return your Hive Active Plug,
simply return your box and its contents to the retailer. Any return
is subject to the retailer’s refund policy so please don’t forget to
check the retailer’s refund policy too.

Usage
Your Hive Active Plug is designed for indoor use only.
For your safety
Your Hive Active Plug is not a circuit breaker and does not
contain a fuse, RCD or any other similar device. If you’re using
your Hive Active Plug, whether at home or away, with appliances
like kettles, heaters and hair straighteners, please remember
to follow the safety advice for use of those appliances. For
example, ensure electric heaters are not covered with clothing
or other items.
Earthing
The earth connection from the wiring in your home is passed
through to the earth connection of the front socket on the Hive
Active Plug. It is safe to connect equipment which relies on an
earth connection for safety.
Maintenance
Disconnect your Hive Active Plug before cleaning and keep it
away from water and other liquids at all times. The Hive Active
Plug does not contain any serviceable parts so do not attempt
to open it.

2Enchúfalo y enciende el tomacorriente
Una vez que esté conectado, la luz LED
en la parte frontal de tu enchufe comenzará
a parpadear en color ámbar mientras busca
tu hub.

Una vez que tu enchufe Hive Active Plug
aparezca en la pantalla podrás cambiarle
el nombre y presionar Guardar para
completar la configuración.
Recuerda: Para usar el enchufe Hive Active Plug,
deja el dispositivo y el tomacorriente eléctrico
encendidos, incluido el cable de extensión si estás
usando uno.
3¡Listo!
La luz LED en tu enchufe Hive Active Plug
dejará de parpadear en color ámbar una
vez conectada. Ahora puedes conectar
el dispositivo que desearías controlar de
manera remota. Cuando tu enchufe Hive
Active Plug está encendido, la luz LED
cambiará a morado sólido.

Si por algún motivo necesitas devolver tu enchufe Hive Active
Plug, simplemente devuelve la caja con todo su contenido
donde lo compraste.

Uso
El enchufe Hive Active Plug está diseñado para uso en interiores
únicamente.
Para tu seguridad
Tu enchufe Hive Active Plug no es un interruptor de circuito y
no contiene un fusible, un dispositivo de corriente residual, un
interruptor diferencial, o cualquier otro dispositivo similar. Si
estás usando tu enchufe Hive Active Plug, ya sea en tu hogar de
fuera de él, con aparatos como teteras, calentadores y alisadores
de cabello, recuerda seguir los consejos de seguridad de uso de
esos aparatos. Por ejemplo, asegúrate de que los calentadores
eléctricos no estén cubiertos con ropa o demás artículos.
Toma de tierra
La conexión a tierra del cableado de tu casa se pasa a través de
la conexión a tierra del enchufe frontal en el Hive Active Plug.
Es seguro conectar equipo que requiere de una conexión a tierra
por seguridad.
Mantenimiento
Desconecta tu enchufe Hive Active Plug antes de limpiarlo y
mantenlo alejado del agua y demás líquidos en todo momento.
El enchufe Hive Active Plug no contiene partes utilizables, así
que no intentes abrirlo.
