Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the HobbyKing Tanager Glider. The Tanager glider
can be used for slope soaring, flat-land thermalling, aerobatics and more. A
built-in motor mount can be used for quick conversion to powered flight if you
don’t have easy access to rising air.

Assembly Instructions(Glider)
1. Remove the extra cover from the wing.Thenbond the fin and the fuselage with
Gorilla Glue

Adjust length of the linkagesto bring the aileron and drooperon to their neutral
positions (0oor level flight).
Typical pitch inputs should only be +/- 15 degrees, and roll deflections of +/-
30/15(Up/Down) degrees.
2. Electric version only
Connect the BEC to the the motor, check the rotationdirection of the power,
then install the folding propeller.

Connect the receiver and check all the system.
Install the jig for nose cutting

3. Final assembly and radio setup
Install the batteryand connect the receiver, check the radio and check
theCenter of Gravity (CG). The CG should be approximately 76 mm from the

leading edge, which is also the forward-most point of the center-rib.
Advanced flyers may want the CG another 5mm aft of this point.
Warning
A radio-controlled model is not a toy. It is capable of causing serious bodily injury
and property damage. It is the buyer’s responsibility to build this kit correctly and
to properly install the motor, radio, and all other equipment. The first test flights
should be made only with the assistance of an experienced R/C flyer. The model
must always be operated and flowninaccordance with the safetystandards of the
Academyof Model Aeronautics.
