SAFETY INFORMATION
For your safety, read this manual thoroughly
before operating the Tire Changer
This tire changer is intended for use by properly trained automotive technicians. The safety mes-
sages presented in this section and throughout the manual are reminders to the operator to exer-
cise extreme caution when servicing tires with these products.
There are many variations in procedures, techniques, tools, and parts for mounting and de-
mounting of tires, as well as the skill of the individual doing the work. Because of the vast number
of wheel and tire applications and potential uses of the product, the manufacturer cannot possibly
anticipate or provide advice or safety messages to cover every situation. It is the automotive tech-
nician’s responsibility to be knowledgeable of the wheels and tires being serviced. It is essential
to use proper service methods in an appropriate and acceptable manner that does not endanger
your safety, the safety of others in the work area or the equipment or vehicle being serviced.
It is assumed that, prior to using that tire changer, the operator has a thorough understanding of
the wheels and tires being serviced. In addition, it is assumed he has a thorough knowledge of
the operation and safety features of the rack, lift, or oor jack being utilized, and has the proper
hand and power tools necessary to service the vehicle in a safe manner.
Before using the present tire changer, always refer to and follow the safety messages and service
procedures provided by the manufacturers of the equipment being used and the vehicle being
serviced.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using this equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not operate equipment with a damaged power cord or if the equipment has been
damaged - until it has been examined by a qualied authorized service technician.
3. If an extension cord is used, a cord with a current rating equal to or more than that
of the machine should be used. Cords rated for less current than the equipment may
overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over
or pulled.
4. Always unplug equipment from electrical outlet when not in use. Never use the cord
to pull the plug from the outlet. Grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
5. To reduce the risk of re, do not operate equipment in the vicinity of open contai-
ners of ammable liquids (gasoline).
6. Keep hair, loose tting clothing, ngers and all parts of the body away from moving
parts.
7. Adequate ventilation should be provided when working on operating internal com-
bustion engines.
8. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use on wet surfaces or expose to rain.
9. Do not hammer any part of the machine, it isn’t designed to be an anvil.
10. Do not allow unauthorized personnel to operate the equipment.
11. Do not disable or bypass the safety systems and follow all the safety procedures.
12. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
13. Always securely lock the rim before actuating rotation.
14. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resi-
stant lenses, they are NOT safety glasses.
15. The equipment is for indoor use only.

Tires and Rims that are not the same diameter are mismatched.
• NEVER attempt to mount or inate any tire and rim that are mismatched.
• ALWAYS check to see that tire and rim diameters are the same.
A mismatched tire and rim will explode causing death or serious personal injury
Over-pressurized tires can explode causing ying debris.
• Read and understand Operator’s Manual before operating.
• Keep bystanders away from work area.
• ALWAYS wear Safety Goggles.
• ALWAYS check to see that Tire and Rim diameters are the same.
• NEVER attempt to mount or inate any Tire and Rim with di󰀨erent diameters.
• Inspect tires, NEVER inate tires that are damaged, rotten or worn.
• NEVER inate ‘Split Rim Wheels’ on this tire changer, remove them and use only an approved
safety ination cage designed for this purpose.
• Lock turntable Clamp on inside of rim before attempting to inate tire.
• Use approved tire bead lubricant before removing or installing tire on rim.
• ALWAYS position the “Safety Restraint Arm” over the wheel to hold it to the turntable while
inating if so equipped.
• If a tire explodes on this tire changer, STOP using it until the “Safety Restraint Arm” has been
replaced, which must be done even if no damage is seen.
• NEVER place head or body over a tire during ination process.
• Use short bursts of air to seat tire beads, check tire air pressure frequently.
• NEVER exceed tire manufacturer’s pressure limits.
• NEVER attempt to bypass or alter the built in air pressure limiter. Only inate tire with air hose
supplied with tire changer. NEVER use shop ination hose to inate a tire.
• Tire Changer must be anchored to concrete oor if equipped with a “Safety Restraint Arm”
Exploding Tires can cause serious injury.

PERSONNEL DULY TRAINED BY AN AUTHORISED
DEALER.
ANY TAMPERING WITH OR MODIFICATION OF
THIS DEVICE OR ITS PARTS OR COMPONENTS

REPAIR.

Risk of ying fragments during beading.
•The use of the bead seater device could cause the
ejection of objects and a high acoustic pressure. We
therefore recommend the use of protection equipment
for eyes and ears.
• When using compressed air for the beading operation
there is also the risk of the tyre exploding.
• Avoid excessive pressure. Do not exceed the maximum
pressure indicated by the tyre manufacturer.
• The risk of outbreak also depends on the general
conditions of the tyre and the rim. Check the tyre before
inating it.
The bursting of tyres can cause serious injury or death.

Risk of electric shock from live machine.
• Do not use equipment with a damaged power cord or
other electrical or mechanical damage until it has been
examined by a service technician authorised by the
manufacturer.
• Unplug equipment from electrical outlet when not in use.
Never pull the cord to remove the plug from the outlet.
Grasp plug and pull to disconnect it.
• Do not expose the equipment to rain. Do not use on damp
surfaces.
• Plug unit into the correct power supply outlet.
• Do not remove or bypass the earth connection.
Risk of electrical shock. High voltages are present within
the unit.
• There are no user serviceable items within the unit.
• Servicing on the unit must be performed by qualied
personnel.
• Do not open any part of the unit other than known and

• Turn the power switch o󰀨 and unplug the unit before
servicing.
Contact with high voltages (e.g.: with the terminals of
the switches, wires and relevant connections) can cause
serious injury or death.

• The tape indicates the presence of protruding parts.
• These parts can be potentially dangerous.
• During operations, pay attention to the parts as identied
by these signals.
• Remain at a safe distance.

The wheel weight must be known.
• The plate indicates the lifter loading capacity.
• The mechanical parts of the lifter can be compromised
by excessive loads.
• For particularly heavy wheels, we recommend identifying
the exact weight, with a suitable instrument, before lifting.
Do not use the wheel lifter if the weight exceeds the
maximum weight allowed.
• Remain at a safe distance when they are moving.

radius and, more in general, to the overall dimensions
of each moving part of the machine.
• Remain inside the working area the operator is allowed
to work in.

1.2 Areas with danger of crushing
Every Danger and Warning symbol in the Danger Plate
is to be considered as referring to di󰀨erent elements
or areas of the equipment.
The image to the side highlights the specic areas of
the equipment where dangers of crushing are present.
KEEP HANDS AND FEET AT A SAFETY DISTANCE
DURING THE OPERATION OF ALL PARTS INDICATED
ON THE PLATE OF CRUSHING DANGER (SEE
FIGURE ON THE SIDE).
1.2.1 SAFETY DEVICES
This machine has several protectors made of plastic
to prevent compression or crushing hazards.
The rotation speed of the wheel support plate has been
limited to prevent dragging or entrapping hazards.
There is an ination pressure limiting device to prevent
explosion hazard due to tire over-ination.

1.2.2 Residual risks
The residual risks are risks that were not completely
eliminated by means of integrated protective measures
during design stage (section 4 of UNI EN ISO 12100-
2) or the implementation of complementary protective
measures (section 4 of UNI EN ISO 12100-2) (guards
and safety devices).
Such residual risks can be reduced even further by
following the instructions (section 6 of UNI EN ISO
12100-2) specifying in particular:
• danger indications
• required training
• personal protective equipment that must be used
• safe working procedures.
1.1 Danger of crushing
DANGEROUS AREAS - RESIDUAL RISKS:
Danger of crushing between machine xed and mobile
parts, such as:
• between tool and parts below (wheel or rim / tire
support)
• between bead breaker unit parts and machine xed
parts or wheel being processed
• between bead presser unit parts and parts below
bead breaker unit or rim / tire parts when placed
on wheel support
• between wheel / tire rotating support and bead
presser unit parts used for the operation
• between wheel / tire rotating support and tool
being used
• between tower and machine xed parts (movement
from tilted to vertical).
Danger of crushing between machine external mobile
and xed parts (see point 1.1).
• between tower and surrounding xed parts, e.g.
walls, pillars, other machines.
1.4 Entrapping hazard

Risk of entrapping of clothes or gloves worn during the
operations caused by:
• surface of rotating tire.

Congratulations on purchasing of this pneumatic-
electric tire changer:
This tire changer is designed skilled operators and is
user-friendly, reliable and fast.
With a minimum of maintenance and care your tire
changer will provide many years of trouble-free
operation.
Instructions on use, maintenance and operational
requirements of the machine are covered in this
manual.

MACHINE.
Application.
The tire changer is intended to be used as a device
for automatically demounting, mounting and beading
car and motorcycle tires mounted on one-piece rims
with the following specications:
Rim maximum diameter: mm 660 (26”)
Rim maximum width: mm 356 (14”)
This device must be used in the application for which
it is specically designed. Any other use shall be
considered as improper and thus not reasonable.
The manufacturer shall not be considered liable
for possible damage caused by improper, wrong or
unreasonable use.

4.1 Controls
Before operating the machine ensure that you have
well understood the position and function of all the
controls.
SMART SPEED operation:
Maximum speed for a given stall torque.

The operator has the rst left pedal in rest position (1).
By pressing down the pedal in position (2), the wheel
support starts rotating clockwise.
By pressing the pedal fully down into position (3) the
SmartSpeed function will be activated and the wheel
support will rotate at the maximum speed (approx. at
20 rpm).
By lifting the pedal in position (4) the wheel support
will start to rotate counterclockwise.

• Insert the foot under the pedal and pull up; the lifter
will move up. Once the desired height is reached,
release the pedal to stop the lifter.
• Press the pedal down to make the lifter move down.
• Release the pedal to stop the lifter. To move the
lifter down completely, keep the pedal pressed until
the lifter reaches the ground. IT is forbidden to use
the lifter for purposes other than loading/unloading
wheels (or rims) from the Turntable. The lifter has
a maximum capacity of 70Kg/154lb.
C.
•Press down the lever to open the bead breaker
arm.
•Release the lever to stop the arm.
•Pull the lever upwards to close the bead breaker
arm: by doing this the arm will move towards the
machine.
DO NOT MOUNTAND DEMOUNT THE TIRE WITH
THE LIFTER UP.

• Use the adjustment knob (3, Fig. 4.0-1) to position
the tool according to the wheel diameter.

• The locking lever allows locking the tool in the work
position. Lower the lever to release (Fig. 4.1-2) and
lift it to lock (Fig. 4.1-3).

Press the inator pedal (1, Fig. 4.1-4) half way down:
air will come out of the ination hose end only (2).
Press the button on the Tubeless Beading Nozzle
(3, Fig. 4.1-5), then press the pedal all the way down
quickly (1, Fig. 4.1-4); a high pressure air jet will exit
the Tubeless Beading device.

CAUTION: HOLD THE TUBELESS BEADING
NOZZLE FIRMLY.
Note: Air simultaneously continues to exit the hose
connected to the tire.
CAUTION: ONCE BEADING IS COMPLETE,

Bead presser
The bead presser has a pneumatic control (1, Fig.4.1-
7) for vertical movement.
- Lever up;
the bead presser moves up.
- Lever down;
the bead presser moves down.

4.2 Adjustment / Settings
4.2.1 Bead pusher extension setting
The bead pusher holder rod slip-o󰀨 position can be set
in two di󰀨erent heights.

•Remove the rod sliding stops A-B and move the
rod to the extended position.
• Replace and tighten the xing screws in the rod
locking holes.
Note: Restore the normal position when the
extension is no longer needed.
4.2.2 Tool Head Angular adjustment
(Fig. 4.2-2)
The tool is adjusted at the factory with an optimal angle
for most wheels used today. However, the angle can
be optimised for wheels with a diameter that di󰀨ers
considerably from the standard.
To adjust the tool angle, proceed as follows:
1 Mount the rim for which the adjustment is required.
2 Loosen the lower screw (1).
3 Adjust the tool with the screws shown (2a and 2b).
Unscrew the screw (2a) or (2b) to rotate the tool,
respectively clockwise or counterclockwise.
4 Screw in the opposite screw to block the tool in the
desired angular position.
5 Tighten the lower screw (1) with a torque of 35 Nm.
