1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited
doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for a period of one year from the date of
purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product
or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or
remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of
equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions
on this product. Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the
original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores
selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of
the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration
by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire,
flood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory
warranty or condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise.
JCS shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product
including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any breach of contract, fundamental or
otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by any other party.
Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.

1. Press the On/Off button to turn unit on.
2. Select temperature by pressing the Temperature button
until the desired temperature
is chosen.
3. Set the Timer for the duration in which you would like
the heater to run before turning off automatically.
4. Then choose whether or not you would like to use the
Eco-Smart™ Technology by pressing the Eco-Smart™
button.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
HLP3300/HLP3300B (Fig. 2)
1. Turn unit to High.
2. Once comfortable temperature is reached, turn unit
counterclockwise until heater turns off.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater and allow to cool before
cleaning.
• Lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the heater grill
to remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated.
• Carefully wipe the heater with a soft, damp cloth.
Please be very cautious near the heating elements.
• NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean
the heater.
• After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the heater
with a cloth or towel.
• Store your heater in a cool, dry dust-free location.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate or if there is no heat:
• Make sure the power button is ON – depress button or
turn knob to High.
• Check the thermostat setting; it might be set too low.
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise until the heater
restarts or push thermostat button to 85º.
• If the unit is still not producing enough heat, make sure
Thermostat is set to the highest setting.
• Be patient. Give the heater time to heat up and circulate
throughout the area.
• Auto Safety Shut-Off may have shut the unit off.
Remove any obstructions and follow “To Reset the
Heater” instructions section of the manual.
• Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void
the warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user
serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by
qualified personnel only.
• Make sure the electrical outlet and circuit breaker are
working.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the
heater heats up. This is normal and safe operation. Once
the heater heats up, the crackling sound will go away.
• Make sure your heater is in a full upright position.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: When using electrical appliances,
basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including

2. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly
into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
3. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT
let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handle when
moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains
at least 3 ft (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep
them away from the sides and rear.
4. DO NOT run cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from
traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
5. This heater is NOT intended for use in bathrooms,
laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER locate
heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water
container.
6. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by,
or near children or invalids, and whenever the heater is
left operating and unattended.
7. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
8. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the
cord.
9. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
10. DO NOT operate heater with a damaged cord or plug,
or after the heater malfunctions, or has been damaged
in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or
repair.
11. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. DO
NOT use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable
liquids are used or stored.
12. Useappliance only for intended household use as described
in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to
persons. The use of attachments not recommended or
sold by the manufacturer may cause hazards.
13.DO NOT use outdoors.
14. To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft surfaces like
a bed, where openings may become blocked.
15. To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove
plug from outlet.
16. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension
cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if
you have to use an extension cord, the cord should be
No. 14AWG minimum size and rated not less than 1875
watts.
17. If the heater will not operate, see specific instructions
under Auto Safety Shut-off on resetting the heater.
18.DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void
your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user
serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by
qualified personnel only.
19. DISCONTINUE USE IF PLUG OR OUTLET IS HOT.

NOTA:
• Es posible que el calentador emita un olor la primera vez
que lo use o después de almacenarlo por mucho tiempo, lo
cual es normal mientras el producto es nuevo. Cerciórese
de que el calentador esté en un área bien ventilada y
continúe operándolo hasta que el olor desaparezca.
• Es posible que escuche crujidos provenientes del calentador
mientras éste se calienta. Esto es parte de la operación
normal y segura. Una vez el calentador se caliente, el
sonido desaparece.

FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA CONVECCIÓN
DE CALOR
A medida que el calentador calienta el aire, el aire caliente

Es una tecnología que permite que este calentador portátil
caliente un área más eficientemente a través de un ciclo
continuo de vatios. Aunque no se nota ningún cambio físico,
cuando el calentador está trabajando en el modo ECO-
SMART™ consume menos energía a lo largo del tiempo.
Para activar el ciclo de Eco-Smart™ oprima el botón de
Eco-Smart™. El ciclo de Eco-Smart™ puede desactivarse
oprimiendo el botón de Eco-Smart™. Una vez desactivado, el
calentador trabajará continuamente a 1500 vatios.
APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO
Este calentador viene equipado con un sistema de
seguridad patentado de tecnología avanzada, que apaga
automáticamente la corriente hacia el calentador cuando
se llega a una temperatura de posible sobrecalentamiento.
El calentador sólo puede volver a operar cuando se
reinicialice.
PARA REINICIALIZAR EL CALENTADOR:
Si su calentador se apaga, siga estos pasos:
1. Apague el calentador (posición OFF).
2. Desconecte el calentador y espere 30 minutos.
3. Conecte y encienda el calentador (posición ON).
4. El calentador debe operar correctamente ahora.
APAGADO AL VOLTEARSE
Si el calentador se voltea, se apagará instantáneamente.
Para reanudar la operación, simplemente coloque el
calentador en posición vertical y encienda el calentador
(posición ON).
INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE LA OPERACIÓN
1. Verifique que el calentador esté en la posición apagado

2. Coloque el calentador sobre una superficie firme y
nivelada.

1. Oprima en botón On/Off (encendido/apagado) para
operar la unidad.
2. Seleccione la temperatura al oprimir el botón de la
temperatura hasta configurar la temperatura deseada.
3. Configure el temporizador con la duración que
desee que el calentador opere antes de que apague
automáticamente.
4. Luego, elija si desea usar la tecnología Eco-Smart™ al
oprimir el botón correspondiente.
INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN

1. Gire la unidad a Alto (High).
2. Una vez que alcance una temperatura confortable , gire
la unidad en contra de las manecillas del reloj hasta que
la estufa se apague.
LIMPIEZA/MANTENIMIENTO
Siempre desconecte el calentador antes de limpiarlo y permita
que se enfríe.
• Limpie la rejilla del calentador ligeramente con la boquilla de la
aspiradora para retirar cualquier polvo o suciedad que se haya
acumulado.
• Limpie cuidadosamente el calentador con un paño suave y
húmedo. Tenga cuidado cerca de los elementos calefactores.
• NUNCA use un disolvente abrasivo o inflamable para limpiar el
calentador.
• Después de limpiar, asegúrese de secar completamente el
calentador con un paño o toalla.
• Guarde el calentador en un lugar fresco, seco y libre de polvo.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si el calentador no opera o no produce calor:
• Cerciórese de que el botón de encendido esté en la posición
ON, oprima el botón o gire la perilla al nivel alto (High).
• Revise el nivel del termostato, podría estar en un nivel
demasiado bajo. Gire la perilla del termostato en el sentido
del reloj hasta que el calentador reinicie u oprima el botón del
termostato a 85°.
• Si la unidad no está produciendo suficiente calor, o el
termostato está en el nivel más alto.
• Tenga paciencia. Dé tiempo al calentador para que se caliente
y circule alrededor de toda el área.
• La función de apagado automático podría haber apagado
la unidad. Retire cualquier obstrucción y siga la sección de
instrucciones del manual “Para reinicializar el calentador”.
• NO intente reparar o ajustar alguna función eléctrica o
mecánica en esta unidad, ya que invalidará la garantía. El
interior de la unidad no contiene partes que el usuario pueda
reparar. Todas las reparaciones las debe realizar personal
calificado únicamente.
• Verifique que el tomacorriente eléctrico y el interruptor de
circuitos estén operando.

NOTE:
• There may be odor and vapor coming from the heater
the first time you use it. This is normal and is the
result of dust and other debris accumulating on the
heating element. Make sure the heater is in a well
ventilated area and continue running it until the odor
and vapor go away.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the
heater heats up. This is normal and safe operation.
Once the heater reaches operating temperature, the
crackling sound will go away.

HOW CONVECTION HEAT WORKS
As the heater warms the air, hot air rises into the room.
This forces the cooler air down towards the heater,
where it is warmed. This cycle continues until the desired
temperature has been reached. There is no fan so
operation is virtually silent.
ECO-SMART™ TECHNOLOGY
(HLP3310/HL3310B ONLY)
Is a technology that allows this portable heater to heat
an area more efficiently through a continuous cycling
of wattages. Although no physical change is noticeable,
when the heater runs in ECO-SMART™ mode it consumes
less energy over a long period of time. To activate the
Eco-Smart™ cycle depress the Eco-Smart™ button. The
Eco-Smart™ cycle can be deactivated by depressing the
Eco-Smart™ button. Once deactivated, the heater will run
continuously at 1500 watts.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically
advanced, safety system that automatically shuts off the
current to the heater when a potential overheat temperature
is reached. The heater can only resume operation when you
reset it.
TO RESET THE HEATER
If your heater shuts down, follow these steps:
1. Turn Power to OFF.
2. Unplug the heater and wait 30 minutes.
3. Plug in the heater, turn the power ON.
4. Your heater should now operate properly.
TIP-OVER SHUT-OFF
If the heater is knocked over, it will instantly shut off. To
resume operation, simply place the heater in an upright
position and turn ON the heater.
PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make sure the heater is OFF before plugging the heater
into the outlet.
2. Place the heater on a firm, level surface.
3. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high
wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts,
this unit draws 12.5 Amps.
4. Make sure unit and plug is free of moisture and debris
before plugging into an electrical outlet.
THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT
THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.
