INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Check Package Contents

Step 2. Tools required
Screwdriver, tape measure, pencil, drill, drill bits, step ladder.
Note: use #6 plastic anchors for dry wall or plaster mounting.
Drill Bits: for screws, use a 3/32" drill bit - for wall anchors, use 1/4" drill bit.
Step 3. Bracket Location and Installation
Your blind may be installed either inside the window frame or outside
the window frame. A mounting bracket should be placed at each
end of the head rail as illustrated. Note that the screws can be
attached to the side, back or top of the bracket based on your need
or preference. For wider shades that require Center Supports, these
should be spaced evenly between the two outside brackets. Always
position the supports such that there is no interference with the tilter
cords and lift cords (if there is only one center support it must be
positioned off-center).
Mark bracket and screw hole locations with a pencil – pre-drill the
screw holes using a ⁄" drill bit, and then attach the brackets using
the 1” screws.

For Outside Mounts, we recommend that you place a bracket
on both ends of the head rail, use tape to hold the brackets in place
if necessary (do the same for the center support(s) if applicable).
Hold the blind level at the height desired and center it over the
window opening — mark the exact location of each bracket with a
pencil, and then attach the brackets as described above.
For 2-in-1 Window Opening – the Dual Bracket illustrated below is
attached at the center of the window to join the two blinds.
Securing the Head Rail – review the instructions pertaining to
valance clips below.
Step 4. Install Valance Clips and Valance
For inside mounts - attach the clips to the head rail before inserting
the head rail into the brackets – position them evenly across
the head rail and be sure that the clips do not interfere with the
mechanisms inside the head rail – after inserting the head rail into
the brackets (see below), hold the valance such that the bottom arm
of each valance clip is inside the bottom of the top slot of the valance,
and then gently push up and back to snap the valance into place –
always use the top slot for an inside mount; however, note that the Top
and Bottom of the Valance is a matter of personal preference.
For outside mounts – attach the Valance Returns to the Valance as
illustrated - slide (2) connectors into the mitered end of both returns,
and then attach each return to the valance as shown – snug-up the
corners by hand. Attach the clips to the Valance, and then slide the
clips onto the head rail.

For 2 Blinds-in-1 Window – The valance will be in two sections.
Butt the two valance sections together using the metal joiners as
illustrated.
Step 5. Inserting the Head Rail
Slide the head rail onto the brackets, and then snap-close the hinged
retainer caps of the end brackets.
Step 6. How to Operate
IMPORTANT
Operating & Care Instructions for Cordless Blinds
READ CAREFULLY
• Alwaysrotatetheslatstothe“open”horizontalposition
before raising or lowering. This assures smooth operation and
increases the life of the blind.
• Tomaintainoptimalperformanceofthespringsthatmakeyour
cordless blind function, lift and lower your blind through its
full range of motion – all the way up and all the way down - as
frequently as possible
• AlwaysraiseandlowertheblindSLOWLY(!)toassurethatthe
slats stack neatly. To lower the shade: grip the bottom rail with
both hands and slowly pull straight down. To raise the shade,
put both hands under the bottom rail and push up slowly.
• Always keep the bottom rail level.

• Ifyouhavetroubleliftingyourcordlessblind:
Iftheblindisleftinonepositionforalongperiodoftime,it
might be necessary to lift and lower the shade several times to
restore normal function.
Iftheblindhasbeenfullyraisedforalongperiodoftime,it
might tend to spring-back (rebound) slightly from the desired
length position. This can also be remedied by lifting and
lowering the blind several times.
Step 7. Installing Hold Down Brackets
brackets should be used only if the blind is to be in a permanently
lowered position.
With the blind fully lowered, make pencil marks at the outside ends
of the bottom rail. The outside edge of each bracket should be
lined up to the pencil marks and screwed into place using the ½”
screws.Insertthepinsprotrudingfromthebracketsintotheholes
on both ends of the bottom rail (see illustration)
Cleaning your Blinds
Dusting: use a soft cloth, feather duster, cylindrical dust brushes
specifically designed for blinds or vacuum using the soft brush
attachment.
Washing: use a cloth, sponge or soft brush and a mild detergent.
Use warm or cold water, not hot water. Place toweling on the floor
and/or window sill and wash the blind in sections. Smaller blinds can
be washed in a sink or tub; blinds can also be gently hose washed
outdoors. Rinse off suds thoroughly. Drain the head rail and bottom
rail; remove end caps if necessary. Towel dry to avoid water marks.
To have your blinds cleaned professionally, check the local
telephone directory for a Venetian blind cleaning service or laundry.
Cloth tapes – spot clean with a fabric cleaner – test an
inconspicuous area (such as the back or bottom of the blind) before
proceeding
Polyester ladder tapes can be cleaned with distilled water and a
clean cloth.

Paso 2. Herramientas Requeridas
Destornillador,cintamétrica,lápiz,taladro,brocas,escalera.
Nota: use tarugos #6 para montaje en paredes en yeso.
Brocas: para tornillos, use una broca de 3/32" - para tarugos, use una broca de 1/4".
Paso 3. Localización e Instalación de Soportes
Su persiana puede ser instalada ya ea dentro o fuera del marco
de la ventana. Un soporte deberá ser ubicado a cada extremo
del riel principal como se ilustra. Nótese que los tornillos pueden
asegurarse lateralmente, posteriormente o desde la parte superior
del soporte de acuerdo a como sea más conveniente. Para
Persianas más anchas que requieran Soportes Centrales, estos
deberán ir espaciados uniformemente entre los dos soportes
extremos. Siempre ubique los soportes de manera que no interfieran
con los cordones de inclinación y levantado (si solo hay un soporte
central deberá entonces ir corrido un poco del centro).
Marquelaubicacióndelostornillosdelossoportesconunlápiz–
perfore los orificios usando la broca de ⁄", y luego asegure cada
soporte con los tornillos de 1”.

Para Montaje Exterior, recomendamos que ubique un soporte
a ambos lados del riel, use cinta para mantenerlos en su sitio
(haga lo mismo para los soportes centrales). Sostenga la
persiana nivelada a la altura deseada y céntrela en la ventana
–marquelaubicaciónexactadecadasoporteconunlápiz,y
luego asegure los soportes de la misma manera como se explicó
anteriormente.
Para Persianas 2 en 1 – el Soporte Doble que se ilustra va al
centro de la ventana para juntar las dos persianas.
Asegurado del Riel Principal – revise las instrucciones pertinentes a
los clips de la galería a continuación.
Paso 4. Instalación de Clips de Galería y Galería
Para Montajes Internos - Fije los clips al riel principal antes de
insertarelrielalossoportes–ubíquelosuniformementealolargo
del riel y asegúrese que los clips no interfieren con los mecanismos
internos del riel – después de insertar el riel en los soportes (mire
ilustración),sostengalagaleríademaneraqueelbrazoinferiorde
cadaclipestadentrodelaranurasuperiordelagalería,ysuavemente
presione hacia arriba y atrás (chasquido) indicando esta asegurada –
use siempre la ranura superior para montaje interior; aunque, note que

decadaretorno,luegojecadaretornoalagaleríacomose
muestra–ajustelasesquinasamano.Ubiquelosclipsalagalería,y
luego deslice los clips al riel principal.

Para Persianas 2 en 1 –LaGaleríaenestecaso,consistedeun
par de secciones (2). Junte una con la otra usando los conectores
metálicos como se ilustra.

la persiana: agarre el riel inferior con ambas manos y lenta y
suavemente hale hacia abajo. Para levantar la persiana, coloque
ambas manos bajo el riel inferior y súbalas lentamente.
• Siempre mantenga el riel inferior nivelado.

• Sitieneproblemaslevantandosupersiana:
Si la persiana se deja en una posición por un periodo largo,
podríasernecesariosubirlaybajarlavariasvecespara
restaurar su operación normal.
Silapersianahaestadoarribaporunperiodolargo,podría
tener la tendencia de rebotar un poco de la altura deseada.
Estoseremediasubiendoybajándolavariasveces.
Paso 7. Instalación de Soportes de Sujeción
Estossoportesdeberánutilizarsesilapersianavaaestar
permanentemente el la posición "abajo". Con la persiana
totalmente suelta, haga marcas a los extremos del riel inferior.
Elloexteriordecadasoportedeberáseralineadoconlas
marcasdelápizyatornillarsecontornillosde½”.Insertelos
pines que sobresalen del soporte en las ranuras del riel inferior
(mire ilustración).
Limpieza de sus persianas
Desempolvado:useunatelasuave,unaplumilla,cepilloscilíndricos
para polvo especialmente diseñados para persianas o aspire
usando un cepillo blando.
Lavado:useunatela,esponjaocepilloblandocondetergentemuy
suave.Useaguatibiaofría,noaguacaliente.Dispongatoallasen
el piso y/o marco de la ventana y lave la persiana por secciones.
Persianasmáspequeñaspodríanlavarseenellavamanosola
ducha;Laspersianatambiénpuedenlavarseconmangueraafuera
delacasa.Enjuagueeljabóntotalmente.
Desagüe los rieles superior e inferior; remueva las tapas si fuera
necesario. Seque con toalla para evitar manchas de humedad.
Sirequierequeseanlimpiadasprofesionalmente,busqueenlaguía
telefónicaporserviciosdelimpiezadepersianasVenecianas.
Cintas de Tela – use limpiadores de tela en cada mancha – haga
pruebas primero en partes que no están a la vista (como la parte
posterior de la persiana) antes de proceder.
Cintas de poliéster pueden limpiarse con agua destilada y una tela
suave.
