IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION. RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE.
• Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the
appliance has been misused or does not work, return it to the supplier before switching it on again.
• Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to
overheating.
• The appliance is not to be used by young children over the age of three unless the controls have
been pre-set by a parent or guardian, and unless the child has been adequately instructed on how
to operate the controls safely.
DANGER – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND FIRE, THIS PRODUCT
MUST BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS:
• DO NOT use while sleeping.
• DO NOT use on an infant or animal.
• This pad is not to be used on or by an invalid, sleeping, helpless, or unconscious person, a person
with diabetes, a person with insensitivity to heat or a person with poor blood circulation unless
carefully attended.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• This appliance is not to be used by children. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance MUST NOT be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable
persons who are unable to react to overheating.
• Burns can occur regardless of control setting, check skin under pad frequently.
• If appliance has a removable cover, never use pad without cover in place.
• DO NOT use in an oxygen atmosphere.
• DO NOT use pins or other metallic means to fasten this pad in place.
• DO NOT sit on, against, or crush pad – avoid sharp folds.
• Unplug when not in use. Never leave appliance unattended, especially if children are present.
• NEVER pull pad by the supply cord.
• DO NOT use the cord as a handle and do not pinch cord.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• DO NOT tuck in, trap, fold, cross, pinch or wrap control or cord with heating pad during use.

• Carefully examine pad, cover, cord, and controller before each use. Discard the pad if any sign of
deterioration, wear or damage. Do not tamper with this pad in any way. There are no user-
serviceable parts. If pad does not function satisfactorily, see warranty for consumer relations contact
information.
• If appliance has removable cover: carefully examine inner cover before each use. Discard the pad if
inner covering shows any sign of deterioration.
• Loop cord loosely when storing. Tight wrapping may damage cord and internal parts. Allow to cool
before storing and do not crease by placing items on top of it. Store in the original packaging,
in a cool, dark, dry place.
• DO NOT use if wet.
• If provided with a detachable controller, use only with the provided controller.
• Use this pad only at rated voltage, as marked on the product. Do not use with generators, power
converters, or inverters.
• If the appliance is used on an adjustable bed, check that the blanket and cord do not become
trapped or rucked, for example in hinges.
• DO NOT use this pad with liniment, salve or ointment preparations. Skin burns could result.
• If pad is provided with magnetic closures, do not use if you have a pacemaker, icd (implantable
cardiovascular defibrillator), internal insulin pump or other medical devices sensitive to magnets.
• This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
• Models with a massage function, do not massage abdomen when pain is present, or areas that are
swollen, inflamed, covered with skin eruptions or unexplained pain. Consult a Doctor before using
any equipment of this type.
• Some models may contain filling materials. If filling material is released due to product damage,
discontinue use of product. Do not ingest filling material. If filling material is ingested, seek medical
attention.

• Consult your Doctor prior to use.
• Those with poor circulation, diabetes, nerve damage, paralysis, or sensitive skin should not
use this product.
• If gel is punctured or leaks, discontinue use and contact HoMedics Consumer Relations.
• Adult supervision is required for use on invalids or children.
• DO NOT use on infants or children under the age of 3 years. Not for use in cribs or playpens.
• DO NOT use the gel heating pad in conjunction with liniments, sports creams, balms, or lotions.
• DO NOT use on broken skin.
• DO NOT fall asleep with the gel heating pad.
• DO NOT ingest or inhale the gel. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.
• NOTE The gel heating pad is NOT microwaveable.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Connect the control connector to the pad connector, push both parts together to secure the fit (Fig. 1).
NOTE: Before plugging unit into the outlet the controller must be connected to the heating pad.
2. Plug unit into the power electrical outlet (Fig. 2).
3. Place heating pad on the desired area of the body (Fig. 3).
4. Press power button to turn on heating pad. The lowest heating setting #1 will illuminate when
turned on.
5. Press the +/- buttons to adjust the heat up or down to the desired setting (Fig. 4).
6. When finished using the pad, push power button until the unit has turned o and unplug
the unit from the outlet to store.

AUTO-OFF FEATURE:
Your heating pad controller is equipped
with an auto-o safety feature. This feature
helps to conserve energy by automatically
turning o after 2 hours of continuous use.
The auto-o indicator light will flash to
indicate the unit has turned o. If you want
to continue to use, please start and adjust
the controller again.
Note: This controller is equipped with an
energy-saving feature. The LCD screen will
automatically shut o after 30 seconds,
although power is still flowing to the unit.
Press any button to illuminate the LCD
screen and display the heat setting again.

COLD THERAPY
This heating pad is freezer safe for cold therapy. Cold therapy may help relieve pain and reduce
swelling and inflammation.
1. Unplug heating pad.
2. Disconnect cord from heating pad and insert the entire heating pad into the freezer.
3. You can fold the pad in half or gently roll the heating pad to gain extra space in your freezer.
4. Once the heating pad feels cool, remove it from the freezer and apply to the desired area.
5. Allow the heating pad to naturally warm up to room temperature before using for heat therapy.
Note: Cooling time varies by freezer.
ON-THE-GO HEAT THERAPY
You can use this item on the go for heat therapy. When it’s plugged in and turned on, the unique
gel inside is reserving the heat for use on the go.
Once hot, disconnect the connector from the pad. You can now use the heating pad in a
portable manner.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Spot clean only with a soft, slightly damp
sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.
CAUTION:
• DO NOT dry clean
• DO NOT bleach
• DO NOT use wringer
• DO NOT iron
• DO NOT immerse in any liquid to clean.
• NEVER use abrasive cleaners, brushes, or strong chemicals that may or may not be flammable
and/or damaging to the product to clean.
Note: Cleaning solvents may have a deteriorating eect on the insulation of the heating element.
Storage
Make sure the mat is not damp or moist. Place the heating pad in its box or in a cool, dry place.
Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the fabric surface.
To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not hang the unit by the
power cord.

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
We or us means HoMedics Australia Pty Ltd ACN 31 103
985 717 and our contact details are set out at the end of
this warranty;
Yo u means the purchaser or the original end-user of the
Goods. You may be a domestic user or a professional user;
Supplier means the authorised distributor or retailer of
the Goods that sold you the Goods in Australia and New
Zealand; and
Goods means the product or equipment which was
accompanied by this warranty and purchased in Australia
and New Zealand.
For Australia:
Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled,
subject to the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law,
to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or
damage. You are also entitled, subject to the provisions of
the Australian Consumer Law, to have the Goods repaired
or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and
the failure does not amount to a major failure. This is not a
complete statement of your legal rights as a consumer.
For New Zealand:
Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. This guarantee
applies in addition to the conditions and guarantees
implied by that legislation.
The Warranty
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are
free of defects in manufacture and workmanship under
normal use and service. In the unlikely event that your
HoMedics product proves to be faulty within 1 year from
the date of purchase due to workmanship or materials only,
we will replace it at our own expense, subject to the terms
and conditions of this guarantee. The warranty period is
limited to 3 months from the date of purchase for products
used commercially/professionally.
Terms and Conditions:
In addition to the rights and remedies that you have under
the Australian Consumer Law, Consumer Guarantees Act
of New Zealand or any other applicable law and without
excluding such rights and remedies warranty against
defects:
1. The Goods are designed to withstand the rigours
of normal household use and are manufactured
to the highest standards using the highest quality
components. Whilst unlikely, if, during the first 12
months (3 months commercial use) from their date
of purchase from the Supplier (Warranty Period),
the Goods prove defective by reason of improper
workmanship or materials and none of your statutory
rights or remedies apply, we will replace the Goods,
subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty.
2. We do not have to replace the Goods under this
Additional Warranty if the Goods have been damaged
due to misuse or abuse, accident, the attachment
of any unauthorised accessory, alteration to the
product, improper installation, unauthorised repairs
or modifications, improper use of electrical/power
supply, loss of power, malfunction or damage of an
operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s
recommended maintenance, transportation damage,
theft, neglect, vandalism, environmental conditions or
any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the
control of HoMedics.
3. This Warranty does not extend to the purchase of
used, repaired or second-hand products or to products
not imported or supplied by HoMedics Australia Pty
Ltd, including but not limited to those sold on oshore
internet auction sites.
4. This Warranty extends only to consumers and does not
extend to Suppliers.
5. Even when we do not have to replace the Goods,
we may decide to do so anyway. In some cases, we
may decide to substitute the Goods with a similar
alternative product of our choosing. All such decisions
are at our absolute discretion.
6. All such replaced or substituted Goods continue to
receive the benefit of this Additional Warranty for the
time remaining on the original Warranty Period (or
three months, whichever is the longest).
7. This Additional Warranty does not cover items
damaged by normal wear and tear including but not
limited to chips, scratches, abrasions, discolouration
and other minor defects, where the damage has
negligible eect on the operation or performance of
the Goods.
8. This Additional Warranty is limited to replacement
or substitution only. As far as the law permits, we
will not be liable for any loss or damage caused
to property or persons arising from any cause
whatsoever and shall have no liability for any
incidental, consequential, or special damages.
9. This warranty is only valid and enforceable in Australia
and New Zealand.
Making a Claim:
In order to claim under this Warranty, you must return the
Goods to the Supplier (place of purchase) for replacement.
If this is not possible, please contact our Customer Service
address below.
• All returned Goods must be accompanied by
satisfactory proof of purchase which clearly indicates
the name and address of the Supplier, the date and
place of purchase and identifies product. It is best to
provide an original, legible, and unmodified receipt or
sales invoice.
• You must bear any expense for return of the Goods or
otherwise associated with making your claim under
this Additional Warranty.
