60S HANDHELD INFORMATION
Please remove any protecve lm that may be covering the laser screen
window.
TOUCH SCREEN CALIBRATION
If the touchscreen is not responding properly to stylus touch taps, the
touchscreen may need to be recalibrated.
1. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
2. Select Sengs, then System.
3. Scroll the window if necessary and double tap the Screen icon.
4. Tap the “Align Screen” buon and follow the instrucons on the screen
SET DATE/TIME/TIME ZONE
1. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
2. Select Sengs, and then Clock & Alarms
3. Use the le and right arrows at the top to navigate to the “Time” tab
4. Set the current date, me, and me zone.
5. Tap the “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.
SET TIME SEPARATOR
1. In Sengs, select System, and then select Regional Sengs.
2. Use the le and right arrows at the top to navigate to the “Time” tab
3. Set the Time Style to “h:mm:ss ”
4. If the “Time Separator” is not the colon “:” character, select the Time Separator box.
5. Select the “:” character from the drop-down list.
6. Tap the “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.
SET SHORT DATE FORMAT
1. In Sengs, select System, and then select Regional Sengs.
2. Use the le and right arrows at the top to navigate to the “Date” tab
3. Set the Short Date Style to “MM/dd/yyyy”.
a. If “MM/dd/yyyy” is not available please select ““MM/dd/yy”.
4. If the “Date Separator” is not the “/” character, select the Date Separator box.
5. Select the “/” character from the drop-down list (or type it in using the on-screen keyboard).
6. Tap the “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.

RESTARTING THE SCAN WEDGE
1. Tap the barcode icon in the system tray.
2. Select Exit
3. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
4. Select Power Tools
5. Select Scan Wedge (This should pop up saying it is inializing.)
6. Tap the “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.
7. The barcode icon should now show in the system try. Tap on it.

1. Tap the barcode icon in the system tray. If barcode icon is not there, complete steps 3
through 7 of Restarng the Scan Wedge
2. Tap on Sengs.
3. Tap on the folder labeled Sengs.
4. Double tap on SuxKeys
5. Set the Value to 13
6. Tap “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.
7. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
8. Select Save
9. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
10. Select Exit
11. Restart The Scan Wedge (Please see Restarng the Scan Wedge)
USING THE SCAN WEDGE ON THE HANDHELD DESK TOP
1. Tap the barcode icon in the system tray. If barcode icon is not there, complete steps 3
through 7 of Restarng the Scan Wedge
2. Scroll down unl you see Blacklist
3. If the symbol next to it is a +, tap it to expand the folder.
4. Select Desktop
5. Uncheck all boxes here.
6. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
7. Select Save
8. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
9. Select Exit
10. Restart The Scan Wedge (Please see Restarng the Scan Wedge)

ENABLING SYMBOLOGIES
1. Tap the barcode icon in the system tray. If barcode icon is not there, complete steps 3
through 7 of Restarng the Scan Wedge
2. Scroll down unl you see Symbology
3. If the symbol next to it is a +, tap it to expand the folder.
4. Select the Folder of the symbology you would like to add
5. Check the box next to Enable Symbology
6. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
7. Select Save
8. Tap “File” in the boom le of the screen.
9. Select Exit
10. Restart The Scan Wedge (Please see Restarng the Scan Wedge)
CONNECTING WIRELESSLY
1. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
2. Select WLAN SWC
3. Select the tab at the boom name Cong
4. Tap Scan
5. Select your Wireless Internet.
6. Select Add at the boom of the screen.
7. Give the Prole a name. Select Assoc Mode as your network conguraon and enter other
network security aspects such as the password as needed.
8. Click OK
9. Select the prole just created
10. Click Acvate. The Status tab will now appear displaying the connecon status.
MICROSOFT ACTIVE SYNC INSTALLATION (FOR WI NDOWS XP)
1. Locate a copy of the latest version of Acve Sync for your computer system. The correct version
is available from Microso’s WEB site or a copy is included in your download. Version 4.5 is the
latest from Microso as of this prinng.
2. Look for the installaon le (i.e. acvesync_setup.msi) and run it. We recommend that you
follow the installaon instrucons and accept the standard default sengs during your install.
3. Leave Acve Sync running to install and connect your handheld computer.
NOTE: Some users may use a single PC to connect mulple handheld computers. If this is the case, it is
best to setup your PC to recognize each handheld as a “Guest”. This avoids having Acve Sync loading
shared data from your Outlook and other PC applicaons. To set all connected handhelds as a Guest,
please double-click and run the provided “GuestOnly.reg” le. It will instantly update your system for
future connecons.
WINDOWS MOBILE DEVICE CENTER INSTALLATION (FOR WINDOWS VISTA OR
NEWER)
1. Locate a copy of the latest version of Windows Mobile Device Center for your computer
system. The correct version is available from Microso’s WEB site or a copy is included in your
download.

2. Look for the installaon le (i.e. drvupdate-x86.exe) and run it. We recommend that you follow
the installaon instrucons and accept the standard default sengs during your install.
INSTALL USB DRIVER
BEFORE connecng the handheld computer to a host USB port for the rst me, you must install the
USB driver provided with the handheld computer on your PC. This will likely be downloaded from the
WEB. Complete the driver installaon as instructed during the installaon procedure. (NOTE: Some
handheld models may not require a driver to be loaded. Refer to the installaon instrucons.)
Connect the USB cable to your PC and the handheld or docking staon (if provided). Windows will
locate the hardware and complete the installaon.
INSTALL GIGATRAK HAN DHELD APPLICATION
The handheld applicaon can be found in the Handheld folder of your installaon download.
1. Connect the handheld docking staon to your computer (typically a USB connecon) and plug
in the AC power cable.
2. Put the handheld in the dock and wait for it to sync with the PC.
3. On the PC, double-click the handheld setup le for the applicaon you are installing (e.g.,
setup_honeywell_hh.exe).
ADDING/MOVING THE ICON ON THE START MENU
1. Find the TTS Icon. If the icon is not available follow the leered steps below.
a. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
b. Select File Explorer
c. Using the top le, go to My Device -> Program Files ->Tool Tracking System
d. Tap and Hold on the TTS Icon
e. Select Copy
f. Using the top le, go to My Device -> Windows -> Start Menu -> Programs
g. Tap and Hold on an open space
h. Select Paste Short Cut
2. Hold down on the icon unl it highlights and lis up.
3. Drag the icon to the new locaon.
4. Release the icon.
REPORGRAMING THE SOFT KEYS
1. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
2. Select Sengs.
3. Select Personal.
4. Select Buons.
5. Select the So key you would like to change
6. Use the drop down menu below to select what you would like to assign to that so key. Note:
You can assign a so key to start a program by selecng a program or as an alternate scan
buon by selecng <Scan2>.
7. Tap the “OK” buon at the boom of the screen.

USING THE CAMERA
1. Tap the Start buon in the lower le corner of the system tray.
2. Select Pictures & Videos.
3. Select Camera
4. Press the Up Arrow to zoom in and the Down Arrow to zoom out. Press Enter to take a picture.
5. Select OK to save the picture.
6. Select OK to return to the picture gallery.
TRANSFERRING PICTURES FROM THE HA NDHELD TO THE COMPUTER
1. Connect the Handheld to the computer using Acve Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center.
2. Select File Management.
3. Select Browser the contents of your device.
4. Open the folder named \
5. Open the folder named My Documents
6. Open the folder named My Pictures. (This is where the pictures taken with the handheld are
stored.)
7. Select the pictures you want and copy them o of the handheld and on to the computer.

FOR AN UNRESPONSIVE OR IMPROPERLY RESPONDING HANDHELD
If the handheld does not respond properly, it may need a reboot. Perform a warm boot rst and see if
that xes the problem. If it does not, then perform a cold boot.
WARM BOOTING THE HANDHELD
Press the Blue key and the Power key simultaneously for about 6-7 seconds.
COLD BOOT THE HANDHELD WARNING: THIS WILL REQUIRE A REINSTALL AND RE-SETUP OF
THE HANDHELD
Press the Blue key and the Send simultaneously for about 6-7 seconds.
