2.3Principleof Termination

potentialcontrolsignal errors.

A ScanDomeTM camera is capable ofnegotiating withmultipleprotocolsifthe communication
speedismatched(samebaudratei.e.,9600bps).SeeFigure7for the appropriateprotocol
switchsettings.
Note: Consult servicepersonnelifadomecamerais installedwithadeviceotherthan a
ScanDome Controller.

5.Pushthe Joystick totheright/left(ortwist CCW/CW)toscrollTour,Pattern, AutoScan

6.SelectFunctionNumber bypushingthe Joystick down, and twistthe Joystick tothe

Followthestepsbelow toprogramthePresetpositions.
1.Selectthecameranumber bypressing 0~9and CAM.
2.Simplypress PRST buttontoenterpresetmenu. ( MENU => FUNCTION=>PRESET)
3.Selecttheempty preset locationtobeprogrammedusingthe Joystick up/down.If
selectedlocationisnot empty,pressing PRST button willshow your predefinedposition.
4.Afterselectinganempty position,pressand hold SHFT/PGM thenusethe Joystick to
controlthe direction ofthe cameraandlens.(Ortwist zoomhandle or hitzoom buttonto
startPTZ controlforviewselection.)
5.Afteraimingthe camera(viewdirection andlenscontrol)atspecificposition, release
SHFT/PGM button(or hitthe focusbutton).The selectedlocationNo.fieldwillbefilled with
“AAFF”.Pushthejoysticktothe right toselect eachFocus/ Iris/BLC/Motion mode using
zoomhandle.
6.Movethe cursortothetitlefieldtoedit/enterthetitle.Rotatethe handleCWandCCWto
scrollthroughthealphanumericcharacters. Pushthehandle torightorleft toselect next
or previousdigit.
7.Tofinishenteringthe title,pushthe Joystick up/downward.
8.Locatethecursor on “PREV NEXT item toselect theprevious/nextpageof presets,
scrollthe page bypushingthe Joystick tothe Left on “PREV NEXT .
9.Repeat steps2through8foreachadditionalpresetposition.
10. Select Saveand Exit by pushing theJoysticktotheright. Press ESC toexit thePreset
menuwithoutsaving.
NOTE:Press the Home or OFF buttonatprogrammedpositiontodeleteaprogrammedpresetview.
ShortcutofPresetProgram.
Selectdirectionofthecamera,zoomandfocustobeprogrammed, thenpress No.(1~248),and
thenpress SHFT, PRST subsequently. Thecurrentviewwillbestored tothe selectedpreset
number ifposition is empty. If selectedpresetnumberisnot empty, “PRESET EXISTING”
message willbe displayedon themonitor andyouwillbeprompted tooverwrite.
Example: 1, 0+ PGM + PRST will memorizecurrentviewaspreset No. 10.Inthiscase, focus
and Irismode will bememorizedasautoand dwelltimewillbesetto3sec.
3.1.3PATTERN (MENU =>FUNCTION =>PATTERN orShortcut: PTRN)
ThePatternfunctionstoresuser’scontrol ofthe selected domecamerafor upto240 ~243
seconds.4patternscanbestoredin240~243 secondsoftotal recordingspace. Stored pattern
isplayed back by pressing No.+ PTRN buttonssubsequently.

Followthestepsbelow toprogramthePattern:
1.Simplypress the PTRN key. (or MENU => FUNCTION=>PATTERN)
2.Selecttheempty Patternnumber tobeprogrammedbypushingthe Joystick Upor Down.
If SEC columnisnot000, then theselected No. ofpatternisalreadyrecorded.
3.Pressandholddownthe SHFT/PGM key while controllingthe cameradirection andzoom
withthe Joystick.Your controlswillbe automaticallyrecorded until youreleasethe
SHFT/PGM key. You can repeatthisprocedure until you are satisfied withthepattern
recorded. (Or twist zoomhandleorhitzoombutton tostart PTZcontrol for viewselection
and hittheFocusbuttontostop.)
4.Scroll downtotheSaveand Exitoptionandpushthe Joystick totherighttosaveand
exit.
5.You cantitletheselectedPatternbytwisting the Joystick.Rotatethehandle clockwise
or counterclockwisetoscroll throughthealphanumericcharacters, pushthehandletoright
or left toselect next or previous space.
6.Pressing ESC willnot savecurrently recordeddataandexits totheprevious menumode.
Pressthe HOME or OFF buttonatany programmedpositiontodeletetheprogrammed
pattern.
NOTE:Iftotal recordingtimereaches240~243 seconds, itwill automaticallystop andgo toOSD
menu.
