Quick Restore DVD
The Quick Restore DVD restores the storage server
device and configures the internal operating system drives
to factory defaults.
CAUTION: If the Quick Restore can not detect the
original Primary and Secondary OS logical drives,
Quick Restore will erase all data on the drives. Refer
to the HP ProLiant Administration Guide and the HP
ProLiant Installation Guide for information on
backing up data prior to performing a Quick
Restore procedure.
Requirements
The Quick Restore DVD requires that the console be directly
attached to a keyboard, monitor, and mouse.
Instructions
CAUTION: Once the restore has begun do not
interrupt the restore process.
1. Connect a keyboard, monitor, and mouse directly to the
storage server.
2. Insert the Quick Restore DVD.
3. Reboot.
4. Follow the on-screen directions.
When complete, the DVD will eject and the system will
automatically reboot.
NOTE: If your DVD-ROM drive has an automatic closing tray,
remove the DVD as soon as it is ejected. If the DVD is
not removed, the tray will close and the Quick Restore
program will launch when the system reboots. If that
happens, press Eto cancel and remove the DVD.
Follow the procedures in the Installation Guide to
complete configuration.

クイックリストアDVD
このクイックリストアDVDを使用すると、ストレージ サーバ
デバイスを復元し、内蔵オペレーティングシステムドライブ
を工場出荷時の状態に設定することができます。
注意:クイックリストアが、元のプライマリおよびセカン
ダリOSの論理ドライブを検出できない場合、クイックリ
ストアを実行するとドライブのすべてのデータが消去さ
れます。クイックリストア手順の前に行うデータのバック
アップ方法については、『HP ProLiantの管理者ガイド』
および『インスト－ルガイド』を参照してください。
使用条件
クイックリストアDVDを使用する場合、コンソールとして、キーボー
ド、モニタ、およびマウスが直接接続されている必要があります。
手順
注意:リストアの開始後はプロセスを中断しないでくだ
さい。
1. ストレージ サーバにキーボード、モニタ、およびマウスを直接
接続します。
2. クイックリストアDVDを挿入します。
3. ストレージ サーバをリブートします。
4. 画面の指示に従います。
完了するとDVDが排出され、システムは自動的に再起動します。
注記:お使いのDVD-ROMドライブが自動ローディングトレイの場合
は、排出されたらすぐにDVDを取り出してください。DVDを取
り出さない場合は、トレイはDVDが入ったままロードされ、シ
ステムは再起動し、クイックリストアプログラムが起動します。
このような場合は、[E]を押して取り消し、DVDを取り出してく
ださい。
『インストールガイド』の手順に従って、設定を完了してくだ
さい。
