3Installation Preparations
1. Prepare installation tools based on site requirements.
2. Prepare materials.

Base
Prepare the base for the indoor unit, the support or concrete base for the outdoor
unit, and the concrete base for the low temperature component based on the
scenario.

Do not use refrigerant of poor quality. Huawei will not be liable for any device damage caused
by using refrigerant of poor quality. Verify that the refrigerant is authentic in the following
ways:
1. Dial the refrigerant vendor's hotline to confirm the refrigerant authenticity.
2. Place the refrigerant tank indoors for 24 hours. Use a point thermometer to measure the
outer surface temperature of the refrigerant tank, and connect a pressure gauge to the tank
to measure the internal pressure. Find the saturation pressure corresponding to the
measured external surface temperature from the mapping table. If the deviation between
the saturation pressure and the measured internal pressure is greater than 0.2 MPa, the
refrigerant does not meet the requirements and needs to be replaced.

Do not use shielded cables as outdoor unit power cables.
Shielded cables are used as signal cables, and the shield layer must be reliably grounded.
Otherwise, device communication is affected.

4Installing Devices
If the pressure displayed on the pressure
gauge is greater than or equal to 0.2 MPa, the
unit is in good condition.
If the pressure gauge reading is less than 0.2
MPa, pipes have leakage points. Contact
Huawei technical support.
1. Open the rear door, remove the air
filters, and keep them properly.
If any bonnet is missing, contact Huawei
technical support.
2. Check the nitrogen pressure at the needle valves
shown in the following figure.
b) Remove the sheet metal for securing the
compressor during transportation.

5Installing Pipes
1. Exhaust nitrogen from all needle valves in sequence.
2. Install pipes.
Top Pipe Routing
Before connecting pipes, exhaust
nitrogen from the pipes. Otherwise, a
large amount of airflow will be
generated during welding, which
may cause personal injury or device
damage.
