Quidway® AR 28 Router Asynchronous Serial Port Module
Overview
The asynchronous serial port module of the AR28 router includes 3-port AS module and 8-/16-port
ASE module.
The function of ASE module is the same as that of AS module, mainly responsible for transmitting
and processing the asynchronous serial port data flow. The largest rate of each asynchronous
serial port reaches 115.2 Kbps. It can support terminal access service and asynchronous private
line. Moreover, the asynchronous serial port can serve as the middle-/small-sized ISP dialup
access server. It can interconnect multiple LANs through the asynchronous dialup line.
