1 Overview
1.1 Positioning
Huawei has developed the FusionModule1000, a green data center solution, based
on a thorough study on the reform and impact of the cloud computing to
traditional data centers and the practical experience of dozens of global cloud
computing centers. The solution features a exible, hybrid, and modular design to
help customers construct green infrastructure adapting to cloud computing.
The FusionModule1000, foundation for cloud computing in enterprise data
centers, integrates power distribution, monitoring, cooling, racks, cable routing,
and re extinguishing. It is characterized by good waterproof and quake proof
performances. The FusionModule1000 helps enterprise telecom operators and
Internet operators to rapidly deploy data centers and has unique advantages in
the elds of disaster relief, military aairs, oil exploitation, survey, and enterprise
data for its availability in outdoor environments.
The FusionModule1000, located at the bottom layer of a data center, provides
basic physical construction for all services in the data center.
1.2 Benets
The FusionModule1000 is a small-capacity prefabricated all-in-one data center
that integrates the pre-fab. module mechanical structure, power supply and
distribution system, cooling system, management system, re extinguishing
system, integrated cabling system, and server cabinets. It features high security
and reliability, rapid deployment, low cost, high eciency, and intelligent
management.
High Security and Reliability
● Grounding: The pre-fab. module is properly grounded and resists
electromagnetic interference. Its electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) meets
Class A requirements specied in the CISPR22/EN55022 standard.
● Dustproof and waterproof: The data center is deployed in a pre-fab. module
that complies with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

668 standard. The pre-fab. module provides sucient protection (IP55 by
default; IP65 available by changing the dustproof module at the air vent) as it
is assembled by industry-leading welding technologies and well sealed to be
waterproof and dustproof.
● Bulletproof: The bulletproof function can be customized. Customization will
change the structure of the pre-fab. module. Side plates of the pre-fab.
module are 4.2 mm bulletproof steel plates and top plates are 2.4 mm
bulletproof plates. The design meets the GJB 4300-2002 V and N. I. J. 0108.01
IIIA standards (distance of 10 m, 56-type 7.62 mm submachine gun or
AK47-7.62X39, initial bullet speed greater than 710 m/s).
● Antiseismic: The pre-fab. module meets GR-63-CORE Zone 3 antiseismic
requirements.
● Theftproof: The intelligent access control system and mechanical locks provide
multifold security protection and can meet class 3 theftproof requirements in
EN 1627–EN 1630 if required.
● Adaptive to environment: The design of two porches prevents sand from
entering the equipment compartment when doors are open during
maintenance, ensuring that the pre-fab. module applies to various harsh
environments.
● Fireproof: The re extinguishing system is reliable, clean, insulating, and
environment-friendly, and can put out a re eciently and safely without
damaging equipment, thereby ensuring high equipment availability. The re
extinguishing system uses heptauoropropane as the extinguishing agent and
complies with the EU's CE certication.
Rapid Deployment
● Streamlined manufacturing, professional division of labor, and good work
conditions ensure that modules and products of the FusionModule1000 are
produced eciently with strict quality control.
● Infrastructures such as cooling equipment, power supply equipment, and
racks are factory-installed. You only need to provide network cables, power
cables, and water pipes onsite for commissioning.
● System commissioning is completed in factories, and therefore onsite
deployment and equipment room commissioning take less than one week.
● The pre-fab. module can be easily relocated as it can be transported on
level-3 roads and applies to various scenarios such as dynamic data service
deployment, military aairs, disaster relief, and eld operations.

Determining whether land transportation requirements are met:
● Pavement condition: highway and country road with solid subgrade and damaged
pavement covering layer, which can be a gravel road, earth-rock road, or concrete or
asphalt road which has not been maintained for a long time; road that has concave pits
with a diameter of 10–15 mm irregularly distributed, the length of the road taking up
more than 60% of the total length. Corrugation waves are allowed on the road, with the
wave distance of 750–1000 mm and wave crest height of 25–50 mm.
● Test standard: trac running test for more than 480 km (speed: 30–40 km/h);
emergency brake for six times at a speed of 30 km/h (emergency brake twice at a 30-
degree gradient when going down a slope). After all tests are performed, there are no
obvious damages, such as getting loose or cracks. After power-on, the performance
specications of all components are consistent with the test data before transportation.

Cost-Eectiveness and High Energy Eciency
● The pre-fab. module integrates the cooling system, power distribution system,
monitoring system, re extinguishing system, and cabinets that are pre-
installed and pre-commissioned before delivery. The pre-fab. module goes
through the trial run before delivery. Customers are welcome to check and try
the product in the factory.
● Civil engineering is simple when the FusionModule1000 is deployed outdoors.
It starts to work after being installed on a concrete podium or platform and
connected to a humidier, water supply, mains power supply, and network.
● Mature delivery mode, modular structure, and low-cost transportation of the
pre-fab. module ensure fast deployment of the FusionModule1000, and
simple and convenient expansion and upgrade.
● The FusionModule1000 is energy-ecient. The hot and cold aisles are
separated in the equipment compartment to ensure high cooling eciency.
Intelligent Management
● Manages infrastructure of the FusionModule1000 in a central manner.
● Supports O&M using a mobile app and remote unattended operation. Full
WiFi coverage is realized inside the pre-fab. module using a WiFi module. WiFi
coverage outside the pre-fab. module is realized using a customer router
gateway (optional).
● Monitors equipment eectively in real time.
● Monitors environments in real time to identify potential risks.
● Provides a robust security mechanism to protect equipment and ensures a
proper environment.
● Provides standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) ports to
communicate with third-party network management systems (NMSs).
Intelligent Features
● Local PAD 3D NMS +APP view, power supply / cooling 2D link visibility inside
the pre-fab module.
● Early warning, rack resource automation, management automation, 3D
temperature map, and cold power linkage to eliminate hot spots.

2.1 Typical Application Scenarios
The FusionModule1000 is a prefabricated data center, and integrates the
uninterruptible power system (UPS), smart cooling product, and cabinets. It can be
put into operation immediately after connecting to the tap water, power supply,
and network.
The FusionModule1000 is focused on fast deployment of outdoor small IT
equipment rooms for carriers and enterprises. It can integrate standard and
nonstandard mainstream IT equipment, supports the 1.2 m cabinet layout.

The mobile part refers to the infrastructure. The FusionModule1000 cannot be transported
with IT equipment, power modules, and batteries.
The FusionModule1000 can be deployed as a small integrated data center (IDC)
for enterprises in diverse environments such as the seaside, industrial parks,
campuses, urban areas, and suburban areas to meet specic application
requirements such as business blowout and capacity expansion.
The FusionModule1000 is most preferred when a data center must be quickly
constructed and deployed due to urgent service requirements.

of the energy industry.

If the data center will be idle for a long time, power it on and keep it
operational for at least two hours every six months.
● The battery storage temperature must be in the range from –20°C to +40°C.

3.1.5 Components Inside the Pre-fab. Module
3.1.5.1 Overhead Cable Tray
● Dimensions of a single cable tray (H x W x D): 135 mm x 400 mm x 1950 mm
● Cable trays are classied into strong-current cable trays and weak-current
cable trays, and positions for routing network cables and optical bers are
reserved.

If the customer has special requirements on network cable and optical ber routing, grid
cable trays need to be customized.
● Cable trays are assembled by section steel. Cable trays are separate from
cabinets and compatible with dierent cabinet arrangements.
● Aluminum guide rails are deployed along the longer side of the pre-fab.
