Load-bearing
requirements for the
equipment room
Load-bearing capacity > (Total weight of cabinets + Total weight
of maintenance personnel)/Floor area occupied by cabinets
Where:
⚫It is assumed that each cabinet is maintained by one person in
the front and one in the rear of the cabinet and that the
weight of each person is 100 kg (220.46 lb.).
⚫Floor area occupied by cabinets = Cabinet width x (Cabinet
depth + Front aisle width/2 + Rear aisle width/2)
A schematic diagram of the external structure:
The water inlet is blue and the water outlet is red.
2Tools
⚫Paper knife: Used to cut the sealing tape of the packing case.
⚫Phillips screwdriver: Used to tighten small screws.
⚫Electrostatic discharge (ESD) gloves: Used to prevent ESD damage when you handle a server
component or precision instrument.
⚫Adjustable wrench: Used to adjust the leveling feet of the cabinet.
3Installation
⚫Exercise caution when using tools.
⚫If the installation position of the device is higher than the shoulders of the installation
personnel, use a vehicle such as a lift to facilitate installation. Prevent the equipment from
falling down and causing personal injury or damage to the equipment. When a ladder is
used, ensure that another person holds the ladder steady to prevent accidents.
⚫Wear ESD gloves and remove conductive objects, such as jewelry and watches.
⚫At least four persons are required to move the device. When moving a device, keep your

2. Remove the front and rear baffles.
3. Adjust the leveling feet using an adjustable wrench to ensure that the universal wheels of
the cabinet touch the ground.
4. Slowly push the cabinet along the sliding plate to the ground. At least four persons are
required to ensure that the cabinet is stable and vertical.
4Power-On
The ground cables of all modules must be connected to the corresponding ground ports. The
equipment is powered by high-voltage power sources. Direct or indirect contact (especially
through damp objects) with high-voltage power sources may result in serious injury or death.
Before powering on a liquid-cooled cabinet, ensure that the CDU is powered on and running
properly.
1. Check that the PSUs, management module, compute nodes, and switches are properly
installed.
2. Unfasten the 5-pin power connector (male) of the power cable fixed in the cabinet.
3. Route the power connector (male) through the cable hole on the top of the cabinet.
4. Connect the 5-pin power connector (male) of the cabinet power cables to the 5-pin power
connector (female) of the power socket in the equipment room.
5. Connect the other end of the ground cable to the ground terminal in the equipment room.
6. Turn on the power switch of the cabinet in the equipment room to power on the cabinet.
7. After the PSU output is stable, observe the power indicators on the BBUs, management
module, compute nodes, and switches to ensure that the modules in the cabinet are powered
on with the cabinet.
