SHIPPING DAMAGE

General
All equipment should be thoroughly examined fo
r
shipping damage before and during unloading.
This equipment has been carefully inspected at ou
r
factory and the carrier has assumed responsibility
for safe arrival. If damaged, either apparent o
r
concealed, claim must be made to the carrier.
Apparent Loss Or Damage
If there is an obvious loss or damage, it must be
noted on the freight bill or express receipt an
d
signed by the carrier's agent; otherwise, carrier may
refuse claim. The carrier will supply necessary
forms.
Concealed Loss Or Damage
When loss or damage is not apparent until afte
r
equipment is uncrated, a claim for conceale
d
damage is made. Upon discovering damage, make
request in writing to carrier for inspection within
15 days and retain all packing. The carrier will
supply inspection report and required claim forms.

(27°C)/55% rh Their performance is affected by
store air currents when the doors are open. Do NOT
allow air conditioning, electric fans, or open doors
and windows to create air currents around these

direct sunlight or other heat sources.

OTE: The condensing unit draws ambient ai

through on side of the unit and discharges hot ai

out by the opposite side. In order to maintain prope

refrigeration performance and compressor life, a
minimum space of 4" (10 cm) must be maintaine
d
between the refrigerator and surrounding surfaces.

PREPARATION OF CABINET FOR OPERATION
Removing Cabinet From Crate
Move the display Merchandiser as close as possible
to its permanent location and remove hold-down
b
rackets at the front and rear of the cabinet. Chec
k
refrigeration lines to see that they are "free" and no
damage has occurred during ship.
Check fan blades for free operation.
Operation
Always allow the cabinet to warm up to 65° F
b
efore starting the unit. If the cabinet has just been
delivered from a cold ambient, such as winter, wait
least 16 hours before starting.
LEVELING THE CASE
These cases should be leveled before being installe
d
definitively, to allow the maximum drain of the
condensed water as well as an appropriate
alignment of the doors and operation. If these cases
don’t have an appropriate leveling, the water can
cause bad operation
These cases are correspondents with installe
d
levelers.Level the unit according to the place where
it will operate and to adjust like is required.
INSTALLATION OF SHELF
The installed Shelves are modulated. These they
can be retired of their original position and adjuste
d
to different heights.
Should the unit be disconnected when running, wai
t
5 minutes before restarting. This allows the
refrigerant pressures to equalize and prevents the
compressor from cycling on its overload protector.
It is advisable to run the unit for 5 to 8 hours before
loading it with product. This is to allow the ai
r
inside the display merchandiser to cool down.
Load Limits
Each merchandiser has a load limit decal. At no
time should merchandiser be stocked be
y
ond the
load limits indicated. If load limit is violated, it
may result in loss of contents.

REMOVABLE REAR DOORS
These cases have sliding back door that can remove
and to put on easily. To insert the door you should

Defrosting Instructions
To avoid the evaporator from freeze up the cases
N
AV-4, NAVC-4, NAV-6 & NAVC-6 have a
mechanic defrost timer that is programmed to the
compressor work 23 hrs. and 1 Hr. in defrost.
For NAV-8, AND NAVC-8, the defrost length is
100 minutes.
To change the program of the timer, you should
remove the grill and spin knob of timer in clockwise
to start the defrost.
It is recommend to program the clock to defrost the
evaporator during the night.
REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
Description
All Merchandisers are equipped with a hermetic
compressor. The refrigeration system works with
134a refrigerant. It is really important not to change
or mix refrigerants during service. If anothe
r
refrigerant than the specified is used, the
p
erformance of the case will be affected.
The refrigerant used is CFC free, that means it
does not damage the stratosphere ozone layer.

START UP/OPERATION
Electrical Supply
WARNING
Equipment MUST be GROUNDED!
Wiring of the unit is complete when it is shipped
from the factory. The unit is supplied with a three
conductor electrical cord which extends from a side
of the unit. Plug the unit into correct grounded
outlet. It is recommended that a separate circuit be
run for each cabinet to prevent the possibility o
f
another appliance blowing a fuse, causing
subsequent loss of product.
Temperature Control
An adjustable mechanic thermostat is provided. The
thermostat is located inside of the case in the right
side
Avoid placing your display merchandiser in the
direct sun light or in the air stream from electric
fans or open doorways.
The temperature is preset from factory
Lighting
A Interior lighting is operated by a external switch
Draining
The case is equipped with a bottom drain tube and a
p
lug for removing water during defrost and cleaning
p
rocess. Keep the plug connected to avoid air leaks.

Maintenance
MAINTENANCE
Long life and satisfactory performance of any
equipment is dependent upon the care given to it.
To insure efficient operation, proper sanitation an
d
minimum maintenance, the cabinet should be
thoroughly cleaned, debris removed and the
interior cleaned regularly.

SOURCE BEFORE SERVICING OR
CLEANING
Cabinet Surfaces (Interior and Exterior)
To preserve finish, the cabinet should be cleane
d
with a mild solution of soap and warm water only,
using a soft cloth or sponge. DO NOT use any type
of caustic soap, abrasive cleaner, or steel wool
scouring pads which can mar the cabinet finish.
Condenser
The air cooled condenser should be cleaned regularly.
A dirty condenser restricts air flow causing decrease
d
refrigeration efficiency. (Clean every month or as
required).
I) With main power supply disconnected, remove
louver grill from front of lower cabinet.
Most dirt will collect on the air intake side of the
condenser. This is opposite the fan motor.
2) Use a bristle brush to loosen the dust and dir
t
and remove with a vacuum cleaner. When cleaning
condenser line be ware of fin edges as they are
sharp.
3) If the Display Merchandiser is located in an area
susceptible to grease collecting on the condenser,
scrub with a solution of warm water and detergent.
Care should be taken to keep solution away fro
m
wiring and electrical components.
