(1) Select and Play Demo Song
Therearemany demosongsbuiltin.The name
and number ofdemosong, playingstatus,tempo
and timesignatureappear on the display.Rotate
the DATE knob tochoose asong.
Thenpressthebuttontostartplay;thebutton
indicatorlightsup.
When the demosongisplaying,pressthe
button againtostopthe playing, the indicator
turns off.
(2) Demo Song Playing Mode
Therearefourmodes toplaysong:
PLAY 1- Playing selected song once
REPEAT1- Playing selected song repeatedly
PLAY ALL- Play all songs

Selectakitfor editinginthesameway explained inthe DRUMKITchapter. Thedisplayshowsthe
kitnumberand kitname.
KIT 01
Standard
Adrum kit consistsof drumpads, cymbalspads and Hi-Hatpedalphysically, which generatesound
indifferentway such as by striking headorrimofdrumpad,striking cymbal bowor edge, press-
ingHi-Hatpedal. Wecall the sourcetogeneratesoundasPart, forexample, thepart generating
sound by striking the headofTom1padisdisplayedonthescreenasTom1,thepart generating
soundbyHi-Hat control pedalisdisplayedon thescreenas Pedal Hi-Hat etc.The detailed
descriptionislisted inTable1below.
Each parthas multiparameterstodetermine itssound characteristics such as voice, volume,
reverblevelandpanetc.TheseparametersarelistedInTable2.
Theedit featureistoset parameterforeach part,partlyorforallpartsinakit. Obviously,assigning
voice tothe part ismostimpotant function.Thisdrumhas totally492 voices canbe selectand
assigned withthisfunction.

PressEDITbuttontoengagetheedit mode.Theindi-
catorwill lightup.
3.Selectpart toedit
Pressapad selection button toselectapad.Some
pads have twoor moreparts, for example, the snare
havehead, rim1andrim2parts. Thedefaultpartfora
padishead orbow.
Pressthe padselection button repeatedlyand the part
will switchwithinvalidpartsone by one.Forexample,
pressthe SNARE button once,the partisSnare
(Head);press theSNARE buttontwice,thepart
changes toSnare-R1;pressthe SNARE button again,
the part will changetoSnare-R2. The part namewill
apear onthefirst row ofthedisplay.Pleaserefer to
Table1fordetails.
UsetheEXPANDbuttontoselectTom4
and the Ride. Press the EXPAND buttonrepeatedly,
the part namewill changeone by oneuntil thepart
you desireappears.Please refertoTable1fordetails.
Or,simplystrikethe properportionof apadwithnor-
malstrenthtoselectthepartdirectly.SelecttheHi-
Hatcontrolpedal bypressingitdowntothebottom.
4.Selectparametertoedit
Thecurrentparameterisblinking.RotatetheDataknob
toselectaparametertoedit. Inthisexample,select
VOICE.
Press the ENTER button orpushdowntheDateknob
toconfirm youchoice.The currentvalue/contentsof
thisparameterwill blink.
NOTE: PushtheDataknob as abutton can
implementthesamefunctionas press theENTER
buttoninmanyoccasions.Thisisaneasierway
toenteryoursetting.Inthismanual,press the
[ENTER] meanspresseithertheENTER buttonor
theDATAknob.

the parameter. Inthisexample,you ll change voice
assignedtoSnare-R2.Anyparameterhasitsown
range toset. Forexample,thereare492 voices
canbeselectedtoassigntoapart,referringto
AppendixVOICE LIST.
Note: When you editthe voice forthe Tomrim or
KickwithKit 22/23/24/25/26,theadditionalvoice
inthesequencerwill not bechanged.

6. Edit anotherparameterorpart
Now,the firstparameter(the VOICEinthis
example)editingforaselected part isfinished.You
maycontinuetoeditotherparametersfor thispart
orchangepart toedit.
(1) Edit other parameter in the current part
Pressthe EXITbutton,the screen will back tothe parametr selection windowwiththeparameter
nameblinking.Then,selectapart by rotating the DATA knob.Then,editparametersinthe sameway
above.

Press the oneofthe padselection button and itsindicatorwill lightup.The partnamewill display on
the screen. The current parametertoedit will keep no change. Inthisway,you couldedit the same
parameter (itisVoiceinthisexample)for each part.Press the samebutton repeatedlytoswitch to
anotherpart,ifnecessary.
Or, simplystrike the proper portioninthe realpad toselectthepartdirectly.
Thedrumkitstill keepsnochange inall operationsabove.

7.Completetheedit
Afterfinish allediting forthe currentdrumkit, no mat-
ter singleor multiplepart/parameter, you cantermi-
natetheedit.
PresstheEXITbutton repeatedlyuntil “SaveSetups
to ”on the screen.Then, you have twochoices:
(1)Saveedited drumkitas yourownuserkit:Rotate
theDateknobtoselectanuserkit numberranged
56 UserKit01 to90UserKit35.Press [ENTE]to
confirm. Theeditedresultsaresaved as desiredUser
kitthen exitthe editmodeandreturntothe Kit window.
Theuserkit settingisnonvolatileeventhe powerturns
off.
(2) Press theEXITbutton toexit the edit modeand
returntotheKit window.Alltheeditedresultswillbe
discarded.
