Chapter 1
Introduction
iBall Baton 3G+ Wi-Fi Travel Router complies with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless standards.
Enhanced 150Mbps wireless transmission speed.
Internet:
Allows multiple users to access internet via wired as well as wireless connection

C. Installation Steps for 3G Connection
Step 1. Plug in power:
Connect with the power adapter to the receptor on the
back panel of it. Then the device will be powered on.
Step 2. Set WAN mode switch:
Set WAN mode switch at “3G” side.
Step 3. Connect with a USB 3G modem:
Plug your USB modem which is with activated SIM
card provided by your 3G service provider.
Step 4. Connect with Ethernet Cable
Insert the Ethernet cable into RJ45 Ethernet Port on
the back panel. And then plug the other end of RJ45
into the computer or Laptop computer.
Step 5. Start to configure the device:
You can start to configure the device via the Easy
Setup Utility.
(see Easy Setup Utility in CD)

Note. If you set WAN mode switch at “DSL” side, the Ethernet port will became WAN port for you
connect to xDSL modem. Your PC or laptop can only connect to it via WLAN at this condition.

Chapter 2 Router Configuring
There are two methods for you to set up the 3G+ Wi-Fi Travel Router quickly and easily.
Method - I > Web Based configuration through browser
Method - II > Easy Setup Wizard
Method – I > Configuring the Router via Web based console
Login to the Router
To login to the router, you should set up the TCP/IP Protocol in "Obtain an IP address
automatically" mode on your PC(s).
a. To access the configuration utility, open a web-browser and type in the default address
http://192.168.1.1 in the address field of the browser.
After a moment, a login window will appear.
Type in the default password “admin” in the Password option and then click ‘login’ button
Method- II > Easy Setup Wizard (Utility Software)
a. Insert the Resource CD into your CD-ROM device.
b. The Easy Setup Wizard will automatically pop up on the computer’s screen.
Click START button and follow the steps as per easy setup configuration to complete the router
configuration

2.2 Quick Wizard Setup
User need to login via web based UI to configure the device.
•Default IP address: 192.168.1.1
•Password: admin

Select “Wizard” to proceed
basic settings.
Click “Next” to start the Setup
Wizard.
Configure with the Setup Wizard

Set up your system password.
(Default:admin)
Step 2:
Select Time Zone

Select Wan Type.
Please set LAN IP address of
this device. If you want to use
3G service as the main
Internet access, please
choose WAN type as “3G”.
Note. If you set WAN switch
to “DSL” mode, you can see
other WAN options here.

Step 4:
Setup 3G profile.
Select “Auto Detection”.
Step 5:
Setup your Wireless Network
and SSID.
Step 6:
Setup Wireless Security
configurations.

Applying new configurations
you have set. Click “Next” to
continue.
Step 8:
The device will save all new
settings, and reboot
automatically. After reboot, it
will try to connect to Internet
according to new settings.

3.1 Network Setting
3.1.1. LAN (Wi-Fi) & WAN - Network Setup
1. LAN IP Address: The local IP address of this device. The computers on your network
must use the LAN IP address of this device as their default gateway. You can change it if
necessary.
2. Subnet Mask: Input your Subnet mask. (All devices in the network must have the same
subnet mask.) The default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
3. WAN Interface: This shows Ethernet WAN or Wireless WAN according to WAN mode
switch on the device.
4. WAN Type: If WAN mode switch is set to “3G”, you can see 3G, iBurst, Wi-Fi HotSpot
options from the drop-down list. Otherwise, if WAN mode switch is set to “DSL”, there
will be Dynamic / Static IP address, PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), for WAN options.
