Control ValveFunction and Cycles
ofOperation
Thisglass filled Noryl1(orequivalent)fullyautomatic
TimeClock controlvalveisdesigned asthe primary
controlcentertodirect and regulateall cyclesofa
watersoftener. The controlvalveisset toregenerate
asatimeclock (passage ofaparticularnumberof
days). The controlvalveisfactory set toregenerate
withadelayregeneration set for2am.
The controlvalveiscompatiblewithavarietyofresin
cleaners. The controlvalveiscapableofrouting the
flowofwaterinthe necessary pathstoregenerate
watertreatment systems. The injectorregulatesthe
flowofbrine. The controlvalveregulatesthe flow
ratesforbackwashing, rinsing and the replenishing of
treated waterintoaregenerant tank.
The controlvalveusesno traditionalfasteners(e.g.
screws); instead clips, threaded caps, nutsand snap
type latchesareused. Capsand nutsonlyneed tobe
firmlyhand tightened becauseradialsealsareused.
Toolsrequired toservicethe valveinclude one small
blade screwdriver, one large blade screwdriver,
pliersand apairofhands. Aplasticwrenchis
availablewhicheliminatesthe need forscrewdrivers
and pliers. Disassemblyforservicing takesmuchless
timethan comparableproductscurrentlyon the
market. Controlvalveinstallation ismade easy
becausethe distributortube can be cut 12.7mm (1/2“)
aboveto12.7mm (1/2“) belowthe top oftankthread.
The distributortube isheldinplacebyan o-ring seal
and the controlvalvealsohasabayonet lock feature
forupperdistributorbaskets.
The ACadapterpowerpack comeswitha2.0meter
powercordand isdesigned forusewiththe control
valve. The ACadapterpowerpack isfordry location
useonly.

Manual InitiatedRegeneration
The usercan initiatemanualregeneration. The user
hasthe option torequest the manualregeneration at
the delayed regeneration set timeortohavethe
regeneration occurimmediately:
1. Delayed Regeneration : Pressing and
releasing immediatelythe ▼buttons. “ƒ”
will flashtowards regen on the displayand
regeneration will occurat the delayed
regeneration time. The usercan cancelthis
request bypressing and releasing the
▼buttons.
2. Orfor immediate regeneration : Asfor
delayed but Again Pressing and holding the
▼buttonsforapproximately3secondswill
immediatelystart the regeneration. The user
cannot cancelthisrequest.
3. The usercan manually step through the
regeneration process tocheck tosee that the
valveisfunctioning correctlybyusing the
OR ▼buttonstogo tothe next step inthe
regeneration process ie.: C1—C0.
Note:manuallystepping through a
regeneration quicklywill notactually
regeneratethesoftener butwill onlycheck
to see thattherelevantstepsare being
performed correctly.
TheWS1EI control valve consistofthe
following components:
1.DriveAssembly
2.DriveCap Assembly, MainPiston and
Regenerant Piston.
3.SpacerStack Assembly.
4.InjectorCap, Screen, Injector.
5.Refill FlowControlAssembly.
6.DrainLine FlowControland Fitting Assembly.

Drive Assembly
The driveassemblyconsistsofthe following parts:
•DriveBracket.
•Printed Circuit (PC)Board.
•Motor
•DriveGears
•DriveGearCover
The drivebracket holdsthe PCboard, the motor, the
drivegearsand the drivegearcoverinplace.
The PCboardreceivesand retainsinformation,
displaysthe information, determineswhen to
regenerateand initiatesregeneration. The display
showdifferent typesofinformation inthe initial
systemset up, installerdisplaysettings, diagnosticsor
userdisplaysettings.
