instructions illustrate setting torque value properly.
1. BEFORE EVERY USE, exercise Torque
Wrench. Open latch to unlock Torque Knob
(see step 5 on page 3), then perform
the following exercise three times:
a. Turn Torque Knob clockwise until
maximum torque setting is reached.

2. Refer to equipment manufacturer’s
instructions for torque scale.
3. Clean the fastener’s threads. Dirty threads
may result in a misleading torque reading.
4. Select socket that properly fits the fastener.
Press socket firmly onto Square Drive.
5. Open Latch to unlock Torque Knob.
6. To adjust torque value, turn Torque Knob.
7. To read torque value ft-lb, see number
at index line. Number on index line is
torque value. Use scale below index line
to convert ft-lb to Newton Meters.
8. Close the latch to lock Torque Knob in place.
CAUTION! To prevent damage to the Torque
Wrench, do not use for loosening fasteners.
9. Torque Wrench can only work
during clockwise operation.
Note: Thread fastener with another
tool until it is snug, then finish the
operation with the Torque Wrench.
10. Place socket on fastener, then grasp
the Handle and pull smoothly and slowly
until the Handle breaks away and a click
is heard or felt. STOP PULLING! The
proper torque has been achieved.
Further pulling may damage fastener.
11. Release pressure to allow the Handle
to reset for the next operation.
12. AFTER EVERY USE, open the Latch and
set Torque Knob to lowest torque setting,
then close Latch to lock Torque Knob.
13. Store Wrench inside its case,
indoors, in a clean, dry location
that is out of reach of children.
