1Introduction
The PPC-5022, a 12.1" high brightness LCD TFT Panel PC, takes
advantage of the modern flat-panel display technology. It consists
of a POS-566/370 CPU board, one hard drive bay and an integrated
power supply to ensure minimum size. The PPC-5022 is an IBM
PC/AT compatible computer specially designed to meet the
applications in an industrial environment.

1.2 Features
CPU Board
PPC-5022 is designed for POS-566/370 CPU board. The
POS-566/370 board is a LPX specification board, and equipped with
a high-performance socket 370 Celeron Pentium III®CPU, a
LCD/CRT and 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, designed for system
manufacturers, integrators, or VARs to provide the ultimate in
performance, reliability, and quality.

LCD Display
The PPC-5022 is equipped with a high brightness 12.1" TFT LCD.
Power Supply
The PPC-5022 is equipped with a standard ACE-816APS 150W
power supply with PFC.
Touch Screen (optional)
Aluminum front panel supports both resistive and capacitive touch
screens.
Plastic front panel supports a resistive touch screen only.
HDD
The PPC-5022 supports two 2.5” HDDs,one 3.5” slim type FDD and
one slim type CD_ROM drive bay.

2System Setup
The following sections of this chapter show how to install the
components and do the maintenance.
2.1 Assembly Diagram
The Reverse Side of PPC-5022
The diagram below shows the reverse side of PPC-5022. For
maintenance, installation or upgrade, please remove the back cover
first by unfastening the 9 screws shown in the diagram.
Warning: Before any installation/un-installation, please mind any
effects of static electricity.

The Rear View of Cabinet being Upside Down
The following figure shows the rear view of cabinet with the upside
down.
One HDD and one power supply are accessible for operation on the
driver frame.

The Side View of PPC-5022
On the side panel, one fan and two speakers will be found. Please
bear this in mind when mounting the unit.

2.2 POS-566/370 CPU Board Installation
Simply place the board into the cabinet and then fasten it by four
screws.

2.3 Power Supply Installation
Step 1. Fasten the power supply to the bracket with two screws.
Step 2. Slide and push the whole module of power supply into
the cabinet as the figure shown below, and then fasten
it with two screws.

2.4 Disk Drive Installation
The following sections will guide you how to install the HDD.
Step1. Unscrew and take out the five screws
shown .below.
Step2. Slide out the cabinet from the panel as the diagram shown
below.

HDD Installation
Step1. Fasten the HDD to the HDD cage as the diagram shown
below.
Step2. Push the HDD cage into the HDD bracket and fix it by the
key lock.
NOTE: connect HDDs and CD-ROM as the manner shown below

FDD and CD-ROM Installation
Step 1. Slide FDD into the bottom of disk bay and fasten it with four
screws on both sides.
Step 2. With two screws, attach the slime type floppy adapter board
tothe back of disk bay.
Step 3. Attach the slime type CD-ROM adapter board to CD-ROM by
two screws.
Step 4. Slide the whole CD-ROM module to disk bay and fasten it
with four screws on both sides.

Step 5. Put the whole set of FDD and CD-ROM into chassis and
fasten it with five screws as the following figure shown.

2.5 Speakers and Fan Installation
Step1.Place the speakers and the fan into the positions as the
diagram shown below.
Step2. Fasten them with six screws.

2.6 Panel Mounting
PPC-5022 is designed for panel mounting.
Step1. Check the cut out dimension first.
Step2. Mount it into the panel by four supporters. Please refer to
the diagrams below.

2.7 Wall Mounting
Step1. Drill holes on the place for wall mounting according to the
holder shown below.
Step2. Fasten the two holders to the PPC-5022 with the screws as
the diagram shown here.
Step3. Hang the whole machine onto the wall.

2.8 Arm Mounting
PPC-5022 is not only suitable for panel and wall mounting but also
ideal for arm mounting with a 75/100 mm interface pad; and the
specification conform to proposed VESA standards.
