Functions and features
The diffuse-reflection sensor detects objects and materials without contact and
indicates their presence by a switched signal.
Range: see type label.
Installation

LED1:
Align the photocell and fasten to a mounting device.►
Electrical connection
Disconnect power.►
Connect the unit as follows.►
Cable Connector Pin connection
L+ BN pin 1
L- BU pin 3
load BK pin 4
— — pin 2
Core colours BN = brown, BU = blue, BK = black
Setting of sensitivity and output function
The sensor is to switch when the object is detected:

Position the object, then press the [OUT on] button►

Remove the object, then press the [OUT off] button►

The sensor is to switch when no object is detected:
Press the [OUT on] button when no object is present.1.

Setting of the maximum sensitivity
The sensor is to switch when the object is detected:
Align the unit so that no light is reflected.►
First press the [OUT on] button then the [OUT off] button.►
The sensor is to switch when no object is detected:

First press the [OUT off] button then the [OUT on] button.►
Lock or unlock the push buttons:
Press both buttons for 10 s.►
Acknowledgement is indicated by a change of the yellow LED status.>
Programming failed:
The yellow LED flashes quickly (8 Hz).>
Measured value difference too small.•
Max. programming time of 15 min. exceeded.•
Operation
The LED is lit when the output is switched.•
Maintenance
Keep the lens of the sensor free from soiling. For cleaning do not use any solvents
or cleaning agents which could damage the plastic lenses.
