Functions and features
The through-beam sensor detects objects without contact and indi-
cates their presence by a switched signal.
Standard range: 4m.
Installation
Mount and fasten the receiver (OWE...).
Set the transmitter (OWS) towards the receiver and tighten in the same
way.
Maximum range only with precise alignment.
Electrical connection
Disconnect power before connecting the sensor.
Connection strictly to the indications on the type label;
core colours: BN = brown, BU = blue, BK = black.
Programming of the output function by wiring according to type label.
LED verte tension d’alimentation o.k.
Operation
Check the safe functioning of the through-beam sensor by means of
the 3 LEDs.
LED green supply voltage O.K.
LED yellow output switched
LED red error in object detection, e.g. maladjustment,
soiling of the lenses
LEDs red flashing alternately, 3 Hz: output short-circuited
+ yellow flashing alternately, 1 Hz: internal malfunction (output is not
switched)
Maintainance
Keep the lenses of the sensor free from soiling.
For cleaning do not use any solvents or cleaning agents which could
damage the plastic lenses.
