1 Functions and features
• The Quad module is used to open an AS-i spur or for additional voltage supply
(current rating 8 A).
• With the Quad M12 module the AS-i voltage and external voltage can be
tapped via the M12 socket (current rating 4 A).
Pin connection of the M12 socket:

2 Installation
►Disconnect power.
2.1 Installation of the lower part
►Choose a plane mounting
surface. The entire bottom of
the module must lie flat on the
mounting surface.
►Screw the lower part onto the
mounting surface. To do so,
use the mounting holes (1)
and M4 mounting screws with
washers M4 (not supplied with
the device). Tightening torque
2.3...2.5 Nm.

►Place the profile seals (3) into the slots (2) of the module lower part. If
the module is at the end of the cable run, the blanking seals (4) must
be used to ensure the IP 65 protection rating.

2.2 Insert the flat cable / version Quad
►Insert the incoming AS-i flat cable (yellow or black for the external voltage
supply) into the cable duct "Line 1".
►Insert the outgoing AS-i flat cable (yellow or black) into the cable duct "Line 2".
►Place the cables correctly in the profile slot.
The two cable ducts are electrically connected in parallel.
►For the Quad version always use two AS-i flat cables of the same
colour (yellow/yellow or black/black) in "Line 1" and "Line 2".
2.3 Insert the flat cable / version Quad M12
►Insert the AS-i flat cable (yellow) into the cable duct "Line 1".
►Insert the 24 V flat cable (black) into the cable duct "Line 2".
►Place the cables correctly in the profile slot.
2.4 Installation of the upper part
►Position the upper part
and tighten the screws (5)
crosswise (tightening torque
2.5 Nm).
Ground the devices via the
earth springs (6) if necessary.
For connection of a plug to Quad M12:
Tightening torque of the M12 socket: 0.8 Nm. Also observe the tightening
torque of the connection cable used.
