This guide provides important safety information pertaining to the installation,
servicing, and operation of the Illumina®NeoPrep™Library Prep System. This
guide includes product compliance and regulatory statements. Read this
document before performing any procedures on the system.
The country of origin and date of manufacture of the system are printed on the
instrument label.
Safety Considerations and Markings
This section identifies potential hazards associated with installing, servicing,
and operating the instrument. Do not operate or interact with the instrument in
a manner that exposes you to any of these dangers.
All of the hazards described herein can be avoided by following the standard
operating procedures included in the NeoPrep Library Prep System Guide
(document # 15049720).
General Safety Warnings
Make sure that all personnel are trained in the correct operation of the
instrument and any potential safety considerations.
Follow all operating instructions when working in areas
marked with this label to minimize risk to personnel or
the instrument.
Electrical Safety Warnings
Do not remove the outer panels from the instrument. There are no user-
serviceable components inside. Operating the instrument with any of the
panels removed creates potential exposure to line voltage and DC voltages.
The instrument is powered by 100–240 VAC operating at
50–60 Hz. Hazardous voltage sources are located on the
rear bottom left, but can be accessible if other panels are
removed. Some voltage is present on the instrument
even when the instrument is turned off. Operate the
instrument with all panels intact to avoid electrical
shock.

Protective Earth
The instrument has a connection to protective earth
through the enclosure. The safety ground on the power
cord returns protective earth to a safe reference. The
protective earth connection on the power cord must be in
good working condition when using this device.
Fuses
Only Illumina Field Service Engineers are qualified to replace the internal
fuses. The power entry module includes 2 input fuses on the high-voltage
input lines. These fuses are rated for 7 Amps, 250 VAC, Slo-Blo.
Hot Surface Safety Warning
Do not operate the instrument with any of the panels
removed.
When the instrument is performing a run, do not touch
the surfaces of the integrated library prep module that
are accessible through the rear of the library card
compartment. Exposure to hot surfaces could result in
burns.
Heavy Object Safety Warning
The instrument weighs approximately 21 kg (46 lb) and
can cause serious injury if dropped or mishandled. A
2person lift is required.
Uncrating, Installing, and Moving the Instrument
Only personnel authorized by Illumina can uncrate, install, or move the
instrument. If you have to relocate the instrument, contact your Illumina
representative.
Environmental Considerations

Temperature Maintain a lab temperature of 19°C to 25°C
(22°C ±3°C). This temperature is the operating
temperature of the instrument.
Humidity Maintain a noncondensing relative humidity
between 20–80%.
Elevation Locate the instrument at an altitude below
2000 meters (6500 feet).
Air Quality Operate the instrument in a Pollution
DegreeII environment or better. A Pollution
DegreeII environment is defined as an
environment that normally includes only
nonconductive pollutants.
Ventilation Consult your facilities department for
ventilation requirements based on the
instrument heat output specifications.

Mise à la terre de protection
L’instrument dispose d’une connexion de mise à la terre
protectrice dans le boîtier. La prise de terre de sécurité
du cordon secteur retourne la mise à la terre protectrice à
une référence sûre. La connexion de mise à la terre
protectrice du cordon secteur doit être en bon état
lorsque le dispositif est utilisé.
Fusibles
Seuls les techniciens d’assistance sur le terrain Illumina sont compétents pour
remplacer les fusibles internes. Le module d’entrée de puissance comprend
deuxfusibles sur les lignes d’entrée haute tension. Ces fusibles ont des
valeurs nominales de 7A, 250V CA, à fusion lente.

Schutzerde
Das Gerät ist über das Gehäuse mit der Schutzerde
verbunden. Der Schutzleiter des Stromkabels führt die
Schutzerde an einen sicheren Bezugspunkt zurück.
Die Schutzerdeverbindung am Stromkabel muss sich
in gutem Zustand befinden, wenn dieses Gerät
verwendet wird.
Sicherungen
Interne Sicherungen dürfen nur von Außendienstingenieuren von
Illumina ausgewechselt werden. Das Stromeingabemodul enthält zwei
Eingangssicherungen an den Hochspannungseingängen. Diese Sicherungen

Warnung bezüglich heißer Oberfläche

Предупреждения по технике безопасности при работе
с электрооборудованием
Не снимайте с прибора внешние панели. Внутри данного прибора нет
обслуживаемых пользователем компонентов. Работа с прибором, с
которого сняты какие-либо панели, создает потенциальную опасность
воздействия сетевого напряжения и напряжения постоянного тока.
Данный прибор работает под напряжением 100–
240В перем. тока при частоте 50 или 60Гц.
Источники опасного напряжения располагаются в
левой нижней части задней панели, но к ним есть
доступ, если сняты другие панели. Даже если
прибор выключен, на нем имеется некоторое
напряжение. Во избежание удара электрическим
током работать с прибором необходимо только при
условии, что все панели находятся на месте.

на кабеле питания должно быть в хорошем рабочем
состоянии.
Плавкие предохранители
Замену внутренних плавких предохранителей имеют право производить
только инженеры по выездному техническому обслуживанию компании
Illumina. Модуль подачи электропитания включает в себя два входных
предохранителя на линиях высоковольтного входа. Эти предохранители
имеют следующие номинальные характеристики: 7А, 250В перем. тока,
медленно перегорающие.
Предупреждения по технике безопасности при работе
с горячими поверхностями
Запрещается эксплуатировать прибор, если снята
хотя бы одна панель.
Во время выполнения цикла прибором
запрещается касаться поверхностей встроенного
модуля для подготовки библиотеки, доступ к
которым находится на задней панели отсека для
карты библиотеки. Контакт с горячими
поверхностями может привести к ожогам.

обращении с тяжелыми объектами
Данный прибор весит приблизительно 21 кг
(46 фунтов) и при падении или неправильном
обращении может стать причиной получения
серьезных травм. Подъем прибора должен
осуществляться двумялицами.

Только персонал, уполномоченный компанией Illumina, имеет право
производить снятие упаковки, установку и перемещение прибора.

Toma a tierra de protección
El instrumento se conecta a una toma a tierra de
protección a través de la caja. La toma a tierra de
seguridad del cable de alimentación devuelve la toma a
tierra de protección a una referencia segura. La conexión
de toma a tierra de protección del cable de alimentación
debe estar en condiciones óptimas de funcionamiento
cuando se utilice este dispositivo.
Fusibles
Solo los ingenieros de servicio de campo de Illumina están cualificados para
sustituir los fusibles internos. El módulo de entrada de corriente incluye dos
fusibles de entrada en los conductos de entrada de alto voltaje. Estos fusibles
