1HYDRONIC MODULE INSTALLATION
1.1 DESCRIPTIONOFTHEPRODUCT.
Magis Pro4-6-9V2is a heat pumpconsisting of:
- Magis Pro4-6-9V2hydronicmodule(indoorunit);
- AudaxPro 4-6-9V2outdoorcondensing unit.
Magis ProV2isperfectly operational only if the two unitsare cor-
rectly powered andinterconnected.
e Magis Pro V2 hydronic module was designed solely for wall
mountedinstallationforheatingandairconditioning and to pro-
ducedomestic hotwaterfordomesticuse and similar purposes.
In order to operate properly, it must be paired with an Audax Pro
V2 condensing unit; as such, all the provisions regarding the sa-
fetyanduse ofbothappliances mustberespected.
1.2 INSTALLATIONWARNINGS
Operatorswhoinstallandservicetheap-
pliance must wear the personal protecti-
veequipmentrequiredby applicable law.
e place of installation of the appliance and relative
Immergas accessories must have suitable features (tech-
nical and structural), such as to allow for (always in safe,
ecientand comfortableconditions):
- installation (according to the provisions of technical
legislation andtechnicalregulations);
- maintenance operations(including scheduled,perio-
dic,routineand special maintenance);
- removal (tooutdoors inthe placeforloading andtran-
sporting the appliances and components) as well as
the eventual replacement of those with appliances
and/orequivalentcomponents.
e wall surface must be smooth, without any protru-
sions or recesses enabling access to the rear part. ey
are not designed to be installed on plinths or oors
(Fig. 1).
Installation must be carried out according to regulation
standards, current legislation and in compliance with
local technical regulations and the required technical
procedures.

R32 refrigerant gas belongs to the low
ammability refrigerant category: class
A2L according to standard ISO 817. It
guarantees high performance with low
environmental impact. e new gas re-
duces the potential environmental im-
pact by one third compared to R410A,
having less eect on global warning
(GWP 675).
e manufacturer declines all liability in the event of
damage caused by appliances removed from other sy-
stems orforanynon-conformitieswith such equipment.

Only a professionally enabled company is authorised to
install Immergas appliances.
Check the environmental operating conditions of all
parts relevanttoinstallation,referring to this booklet.
If installing a kit orservicing the appliance,always emp-
tythesystem’s domestichotwater circuitrstso asnot to
compromisetheappliance’s electricalsafety(Parag. 2.9,
2.10).
Always disconnect the appliance from voltage and, de-
pending on the type of operation, decrease the pressure
and/orbring ittozero inthegas andDHW circuits.
Beforeinstalling theappliance, ensurethatitis delivered
in perfect condition; if in doubt, contact the supplier
immediately.
Packingmaterials(staples, nails,plastic bags,polystyre-
nefoam, etc.) constituteahazardandmust be keptoutof
thereachofchildren.
If the appliance is installed inside or between cabinets,
ensure sucient space for routine servicing; for mini-
muminstallationdistances,see Fig. 3.
Keep all ammableobjectsawayfromtheappliance(pa-
per,rags,plastic, polystyrene, etc.).
For the same reasons, it is also recommendable not to
put furnishings, furniture, etc. under the hydronic mo-
dule.
Any modication to the appliance that is not explicitly
indicated in thissectionof the booklet is forbidden.
Installationstandards
ishydronicmodule can beinstalled outdoorsin a par-
tiallyprotected area.
By partially protected area, we mean one in which the
hydronic module is not directly exposed to the elements
(rain, snow, hail, etc.).
is type of installation is possible when permitted by
the laws in force in the appliance's country of destina-
tion.
Do not install on the vertical projection
ofhobs.
Do not install in places/rooms that con-
stitute public areas of apartment buil-
dings, internal stairways or other escape
routes (e.g. oor landings, entrance hal-
ls, etc.).
To prevent electrocution, re or injury,
always switchotheunit, disablethepro-
tective switch and, if smoke escapes or if
theunitisextremelynoisy,contact anAu-
thorisedServiceCentre.
Donotinstall in places wherethereis the
riskofcombustiblegasescaping.
Donotinstallnearsourcesofheat.

Using specic kits, the hydronic module can be paired with other
Immergas productsandinstalled insideanoutdoorwall using the
specic Solar Container recessed frame or mounted on an indoor
wall intheDomus Container.
Pay attention not to generate sparks as
follows:
Do not remove the fuses while the unit is
on.
Donotunplugtheunitwhileitison.
It is recommended to install the outlet
high up. Lay the cables in such a way that
theydonotgettangled.
Installing the wall recessed frame kit must guarantee
thehydronicmodulestable,ecientsupport.
e recessed frame kit ensures appropriate support only if instal-
led correctly (according to the rules of good practice), following
theinstructionsonitsinstructionsleaet.
e recessed frame for the hydronic module is not a load-bearing
structure andcannotreplace the removedwall.erefore,correct
positioning inside thewall must be checked.
For safety reasons to prevent leaks, the compartment that will
house the hydronic module in the masonry wall must be plaste-
red.
Installing the hydronic module mounted on the wall
mustensurethe generatoritself stable,ecientsupport.
e plugs, supplied as per standard with the hydronic unit, must
only beused to secureittothewall; they can only ensuresucient
support if inserted properly(accordingtotherules of good practi-
ce) on walls built with solid or semi-hollow bricks. In the case of
walls made from hollow brick or block, partitions with limited
static properties, or in any case walls other than those indicated, a
statictest mustbecarried outtoensureadequate mount.
ese hydronic unitsare used toheatwatertobelowboi-
ling temperatureat atmosphericpressure.
ey must be connected to a central heating system and
domestic hot water circuit suited to their performance
and capacity.
“Anti-Legionella”heattreatmentoftheImmergasstora-
ge tank (function enabled when the system is provided
with temperaturecontrol).
e storage tank unit must also be installed in an envi-
ronment in which the temperature cannot fall below
0°C.
Anti-Legionella can only be activated if the optional
DHW electricalresistanceis installed;
eanti-Legionella functionisprogrammed directlyon
the control panel.
During this phase, the temperature of the water inside the tank
exceeds 60°Cwith the subsequentrisk of burns.
Keep this domestic hot water treatment under control (and in-
form the users) to prevent unforeseeable damage to people, ani-
mals,things.
If required install a thermostatic valve on the domestic hot water
outlet to preventscalding.
e appliance is built to also operate in
coolingmode.
If cold water production, during sum-
mer,couldinterfereanddamagethecen-
tral heating only systems, necessary pre-
cautionsmustbetakentopreventthatan
unintentional production of cold water
enterstheheatingonlysystem.
Failure to comply with the above implies
personal responsibility and invalidates
the warranty.

1.5 ANTIFREEZEPROTECTION
Minimum temperature -5°C
e hydronic unit comes standard with an antifreeze function
that activates the condensing unit when the temperature of the
waterinsideof itfalls below4°C.
In these conditions, the hydronic unit is protected
against freezing up to anambienttemperature of-5°C.
If the hydronic unit is installed in a place where the tem-
perature dropsbelow-5°C,theappliancecan freeze.
To preventtherisk offreezingfollowtheinstructionsbelow:
e excessive use of glycol could jeopardise the proper
functioning of the appliance.
For life and possible disposal, follow the
supplier'sinstructions.
- protect the central heating circuit from freezing by inserting a
good-quality antifreezeliquidintothis circuit,which is special-
lysuited forcentralheating systems and which ismanufacturer
guaranteed not to cause damage to the heat exchanger or other
componentsofthe hydronicmodule.e antifreezeliquidmust
not be harmful to one's health. e instructions of the manu-
facturer of this liquid must be strictly followed regarding the
necessary percentage with respect to the minimum temperatu-
reat which thesystemmust be kept.
- e materials used for the central heating circuits of Immergas
hydronicunits resisttoethyleneand propyleneglycolbased an-
tifreeze liquids (ifthemixturesare preparedperfectly).
Minimum temperature -15°C
- Protect the domestic hot water circuit against freezing by using
an accessory that is supplied on request (antifreeze kit) compri-
sing two electric heating elements, the relevant wiring and a
control thermostat (carefully read the installation instructions
contained intheaccessory kitpack).
In these conditions, the hydronic unit is protected
against freezing up to a temperatureof -15°C.
Hydronicunitanti-freezeprotection(both-5°Cand-15°C)isonly
ensuredif:
- e hydronic unit and the condensing unit are properly con-
nectedtoeach otherand totheelectrical supplyvoltagecircuits;
- theunits arecontinuously powered;
- theunits arenotin“o” mode;
- theunits arenotinanomaly (Parag. 2.5);
- theantifreeze unitand/or kit essentialcomponents arenot faul-
ty.
e warranty does not cover damage due to interruption of the
electrical power supply and failure to comply with that stated on
the previous page.
If the hydronic unit is installed in places where the tem-
perature drops below 0°C, the domestic hot water con-
nectionpipesmustbe insulated.
eantifreeze systemsdescribedin this chapterareonly
to protect the hydronic unit. e presence of these fun-
ctions and devices does not exclude the possibility of
parts of the circuits outside the hydronic unit from free-
zing.

1.6 HYDRONIC MODULE CONNECTION

- e R32 circuit wall connection unit is supplied as an extra kit.
Connect the circuit, following the instructions provided in the
condensing unitinstructions booklet.
1.7 HYDRAULIC CONNECTION
In order not to void the warranty, before making unit
connections, carefully clean the heating system (pipes,
radiators, etc.) with special pickling or de-scaling pro-
ducts to remove any deposits that could jeopardise pro-
perhydronicmodule operation.

A treatment of the heating and water system water is required, in
compliance with the technical standards in force, in order to pro-
tect the system and the appliance from deposits (e.g. scale), slurry
orother hazardous deposits.
Hydraulic connections must be made rationally, using the cou-
plingsonthe hydronic moduletemplate.
e manufacturer declines all liability in the event of
damagecaused bytheinstallationofanautomatic lling
system.
In order to meet the system requirements established by EN 1717
regarding the pollution of drinking water, we recommend instal-
ling the IMMERGAS anti-backow kit upstream of the hydronic
unit cold water inlet connection. We also recommend using a ca-
tegory 1, 2 or 3 heat transfer uid (ex: water + glycol) in the hydro-
nic unit primary circuit, asdened intheEN1717standard.
To preservethe durationofapplianceeciencyfeatures,
in the presence of water whose features can lead to the
deposit of lime scale, installation of the “polyphosphate
dispenser”kitisrecommended.
1.8 CONNECTINGTHECHILLERLINE
As far as connecting the chiller line is concerned, all the in-
structions contained in the Audax Pro V2 condensing unit in-
structionsbookletmustbefollowed.
Maketheconnectionsdirectly onthehydronicmodulecouplings,
oruse therearoutlet kit(optional).

1.9 ELECTRICALCONNECTION

the appliance is achieved only when it is connected properly to an
ecientearthingsystem, asspeciedbycurrentsafetystandards.
emanufacturer declines anyresponsibility fordama-
ge or physical injury caused by failure to connect the hy-
dronic module to an ecient earthing system or failure
tocomplywithIEC referencestandards.
Connectioncables must respecttheprearranged routes.
Use 3 clips (c) (not supplied) to group the individual cables (max.
1.5mm2)intothe lowerterminal board.
Use the specic fairleads (d) on the le side, making sure to put at
most2multi-polar cables(max 3 x1mm2)in each fairlead.
As anexample,gure4 showscables inahypotheticalconnection.

Openthecontrolpanelconnectionscompartment
To carry out electrical connections, all you have to do is open the
connectionscompartmentasfollows.
1. Removethefrontpanel.
2. Disassemblethecover.
3. Loosen thescrews(a).
4. Removethe cover(b)from the controlpanel(c).
Atthis point,youcanaccess the terminal board.
Also ensure that the electrical installation corresponds to the ma-
ximum absorbed power specications shown on the hydronic
unitrating plate.
e hydronic units are supplied complete with a special “X”-type
powercablewithouta plug.
e power supply cable must be con-
nectedtoa230V±10%/ 50Hzmainssup-

1.15 EXTERNAL TEMPERATURE PROBE
OPTIONAL
In the condensingunitthere is an external probe asstandard.
iscan be used as anexternalprobeof the heat pump.
If the condensing unit is positioned in an area that is not suitable
for temperature reading, it is advisable to use an additional exter-
nalprobe(Fig. 10)which is available asan optionalkit.
Refer to the relative instruction sheet for positioning of the exter-
nal probe.
For the optional probe to operate correctly it must be connected
whererequired(Fig. 8) andthenenabled(Parag. 3.9).
Once the probe is enabled, switch the ap-
plianceoandbackon.
e presence of the external probe allows the system ow tempe-
rature tobe set automaticallybasedon theoutdoortemperaturein
orderto adaptthe heatingor coolingprovided to the system.
e system ow temperature is determined by the setting on the
“Heat regulation” menu and by the “User” menu for the oset va-
luesbasedonthe curvesshown inthediagram (Parag. 1.16).
If the system is divided into two or three zones, the ow
temperature is calculated based on the zone with the hi-
gher temperature in central heating mode and with the
lowertemperature incooling mode.
e electric connection of the external probe must be made on
terminals 38 and39ontheterminalboardon thehydronicmodu-
lecontrolpanel (Fig. 8).
In caseoffailure,aerhaving powered o andback on,theoutdo-
or temperature is automatically detected by the external probe on
the outdoor unit.
