The ear thermometer is intended for measuring the body temperature in the ear. Do not use the ear

CAUTION – To reduce the risk of personal injury or product/property damage:
• This device is designed solely for non-commercial, household use in non-invasively measuring
temperatures via an infrared sensor of the auditory canals of adults and children, as well as
detecting surface temperatures of objects and ambient temperatures of surrounding areas. Do
not use for any other purpose.
• Do not disassemble this unit.
• This thermometer is a sensitive electronic device. Treat it carefully and do not expose it to any
sharp impacts.
• Do not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight.
• Place thermometer in the room where measurements will be made for at least 30 minutes before
use.
• The thermometer is NOT waterproof; keep away from water and other liquids.
• Clean the measuring tip after each use with a soft cloth moistened with disinfectant.
• Before each use, ensure the sensor is undamaged; otherwise, contact customer service.
• This device is not intended for commercial or clinical use.
• Different measurement results are possible between the left and right ears. In order to record
temperature changes, always measure in the same ear for the same person.
• If you have been lying on one ear for some time, if your ears have been covered or exposed to
heat or cold, you have just been swimming or bathing, measurements will be inaccurate; wait
about 20 minutes before measuring.
• Replace the protective cover after each use to ensure an accurate measurement and prevent
crosscontamination.
• To measure temperature, insert the sensor tip of the ear thermometer carefully into the ear.
• This ear thermometer is intended for measuring the temperature in the ear. Do not use this ear
thermometer for measurements in other parts of the body.
• The ear thermometer may only be used with protective covers from Beurer; other protective
covers may result in faulty measurements. If you have run out of protective covers, contact the
manufacturer or retailer for replacements.
• Ear wax can affect the measurement; ensure ear is clean before measuring.
• Do not use on children under six months of age. In infants under six months, the ear passage is
still very narrow and the temperature of the eardrum can often not be recorded, so any results
obtained may be inaccurate.
• The measurement must not be taken in an ear affected by inflammatory diseases (e.g. discharging
pus or secretion), after possible ear injuries (e.g. eardrum damage) or after any ear operation
while the ear is healing.
• The body temperature measured in the ear may differ from other measurements taken in the
mouth, rectum or armpits. Any comparison of these values is therefore futile.
• Measure temperature regularly to calculate the normal ear temperature and then use these
measurements as a basis for comparison when taking measurements in the event of a suspected
high temperature.
• Do not use the thermometer on multiple people if any of them have an ear infection, even when
using protective covers on the sensor tip.
• Use this ear thermometer only with the protective cover in place.
• The ear thermometer may only be used with protective caps from Beurer; other protective caps
may result in faulty measurements. If you have run out of protective caps, contact the manufacturer
or retailer for replacements.
• Read these instructions for use carefully and keep them for later use.

NOTE:
• Taking your temperature provides information about your current state of wellbeing. If you are
uncertain about interpreting the results or if the result is abnormal (e.g. fever), consult your doctor.
This also applies in the case of slight temperature changes if there are other symptoms of illness
such as agitation, severe sweating, flushed skin, fast pulse rate, tendency to collapse, etc.
• Temperatures measured with different thermometers cannot be compared. You should tell your
doctor or keep in mind if you are measuring for yourself what type of thermometer you use and
in which part of the body.
Battery Handling Safety Precautions
• U se only the size and type of batteries specified.
• B e sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries. Reversed batteries may cause
damage to the device.
• D o not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline and carbon-zinc or rechargeable batteries)
or old batteries with fresh ones. Always replace batteries as a simultaneous set.
• I f the batteries in the device are depleted or the device will not be used for a long period of time, remove
the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
• D o not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture (follow
battery manufacturer’s directions.)
• D o not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
• C lean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
• R emove discharged batteries from the product and dispose/recycle in compliance with all applicable
laws.
• S wallowing batteries and/or battery fluid can be extremely dangerous. Keep the battery out of the
reach of children. Should a child, or any other person swallow a battery and/or battery fluid, please
call 911 immediately.
• S hould battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with plenty
of clean water. Please call 911 immediately.
• B atteries should not be charged or reactivated by any other means.
• B atteries should not be taken apart, thrown in the fire or short circuited.
• K eep batteries away from children and pets. Batteries may be harmful if swallowed. Should a child or
pet swallow a battery, seek medical assistance immediately.
• T he quality of the device has been verifed and conforms to the requirements of Council Directive 93/42/
EEC (Medical Devices Directive) Annex I, Essential requirements, and the corresponding harmonised
standards, EN 12470-5 Clinical thermometers – Part 5: Performance of infrared ear thermometers and
the European standard EN 60601-1-2 (in accordance with CISPR 11, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC
61000-4-8) and is subject to special precautions with respect to electromagnetic compatibility. Please
note that portable and mobile HF communication systems may interfere with this unit.
Notes on electromagnetic compatibility
• T he device is suitable for use in all environments listed in these instructions for use, including domes-
tic environments.
• T he use of the device may be limited in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances. This could result
in issues such as error messages or the failure of the display/device.
• A void using this device directly next to other devices or stacked on top of other devices, as this could
lead to faulty operation. If, however, it is necessary to use the device in the manner stated, this device
as well as the other devices must be monitored to ensure they are working properly.
• T he use of accessories other than those specifed or provided by the manufacturer of this device can
lead to an increase in electromagnetic emissions or a decrease in the device’s electromagnetic immu-
nity; this can result in faulty operation.
• F ailure to comply with the above can impair the performance of the device.

4. To Set Up
Before first use, remove the clear battery insulating strip from the Battery Compartment by pulling it out
gently; the device will power itself on.

Setting the time and date:
1 . With the device switched off, press and hold the " " Button for three
seconds; "12 H" will appear on the LCD Display.
2 . Use the START Button to select 12 or 24-hour time display format; press
the " " Button to save and continue.
3 . Continue in this fashion to set hour, minute, year, month, and day in turn.
4 . After the day is set, press the " " Button to save and exit; the device
will shut off.
Selecting a temperature scale (°F or °C):
1 . With the device switched off, press and hold the START button for three
seconds; "°F" appears in the LCD Display.
2 . Press the START Button to select °F or °C and then press the " "
Button to save and exit.
Changing batteries:
Two AAA batteries are pre-installed and should last for about 3,000 measurements. When battery power
gets low, the low battery icon “ ” appears. Replace the batteries as soon as the battery symbol “ ”
appears on the display.
1 . Shut the thermometer off.
2 . Slide the Battery Compartment Cover toward the bottom of the thermometer to remove.
3 . Remove the old batteries and replace with two new AAA alkaline batteries, following the polarity markings
inside the compartment. Reattach the Battery Compartment Cover.
5. To Use
NOTE:
• Check before each use that the lens is intact. If it is damaged, contact your retailer or the service
address. Bear in mind that the ear thermometer needs to have been in the room in which the
measurement is taken for at least 30 minutes before use.

Ear Temperature Measurement:
1 . Place a new, clean Protective Cover onto the sensor.
->
2 . Press the ON/OFF Button " " to switch the thermometer on; it will
beep three times and the LCD Display will activate.
3 . The ear canal is slightly curved. Pull the ear slightly up and backwards
and then insert the sensor so the tip of the protective cover points
directly at the eardrum.
4 . With the sensor properly in place, press the START Button.
5 . After about a second, the thermometer will beep once and display the
measurement. Press the ON/OFF Button to shut the thermometer off.
NOTE: If no buttons are pressed for one minute, the thermometer will shut off.
Fever indicator:
If the measured temperature is below 100.4 °F (38 °C), a smiley face “ ” appears in the LCD Display along
with a short beep. If the measured temperature is 99.5–100.3 °F (37.5–37.9 °C), two short beeps will also
sound, indicating a slightly raised temperature. If the measured temperature is 100.4 °F (38 °C) or greater,
a sad face “ ” appears in the LCD Display and the device will emit one short, one long, and three short
beeps.

Surface temperatures:
To measure surface temperatures, change the thermometer to Surface Temperature Mode.
1 . Remove the Protective Cover from the sensor.
2 . Press the ON/OFF Button to turn the thermometer on.
3 . Change the thermometer to surface temperature mode by pressing and hold-
ing the ON/OFF Button and START Button at the same time. The surface tem-
perature mode icon " " will display.
4 . Hold the sensor tip of the ear thermometer 0.4-0.8 inch (1–2 cm) from the surface to be measured
and press the START Button.
5 . After one second, the thermometer will beep once and display the measure-
ment. Press the ON/OFF button to shut the thermometer off.
Ambient temperature:
When the thermometer powers on, the ambient temperature, date, and time will alternate on the LCD
Display.
Displaying stored measurements:
The ear thermometer stores the last 10 ear and surface temperatures, along with the measurement date and
time. To recall stored measurements, proceed as follows:

1 . Press the ON/OFF button to switch the thermometer on.
2 . Press and hold the ON/OFF button for three seconds;
"MEM" and the last stored measurement will appear on
the LCD Display.
3 . To view stored measurements, press the ON/OFF Button
to cycle; the memory number is displayed first followed
by the measurement.

4 . To proceed with a new measurement, press the START Button; otherwise, press and hold the ON/OFF
button for three seconds to shut the thermometer off.
6. Care and Maintenance
• P rotective Covers are intended for a single use only. Discard after each use.
• T he sensor is the most sensitive part of the thermometer. Work carefully when
cleaning the sensor to avoid product damage. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab
moistened with disinfectant, alcohol, or warm water.
• T o clean the outer surface of the thermometer, use a soft cloth slightly moistened
with a mild soapy solution.
• D o not use any harsh cleaning products.
• B efore prolonged storage, remove the batteries.
• D o not use or store the device in excessively high or low temperature or humidity (see technical data), in
direct sunlight, near an electrical current or in dusty locations.
• C lean the sensor tip after every use. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab that can be moistened with rubbing
alcohol or warm water.
• T o clean the device, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Ensure water does not get into the
device. If the device does get wet, remove the battery immediately and let dry completely before reuse.
• N ever immerse the device in water.
• T o protect the sensor tip, always replace protective cover after use.
• W hen storing the device for an extended period, remove the battery.
7. Troubleshooting Guide

10. Warranty
Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your InnoHaus ear thermometer, Model AFT58, is warranted to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use and service. This warranty
extends only to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners.

We will, at our option, repair or replace the InnoHaus ear thermometer, Model AFT58, without additional
charge, for any part or parts covered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair or
replacement is our only responsibility and your only remedy under this written warranty. If replacement parts
for defective materials are not available, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu of
repair or replacement.
For warranty service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366 or at [e-mail] to
provide a description of the problem. If the problem is deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime
warranty, you will be asked to mail the product at your costs in its original package with proof of purchase,
your name, address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within the scope of the limited
lifetime warranty, we will provide a quotation for repair respectively replacement and return shipping fee.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of unauthorized
accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; misapplication; lack of reasonable care with respect
to the product; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; normal wear;
loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part as a result of failure to comply
with instructions for use or to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transit damage; theft;
neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair
facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control
of Beurer. This warranty is void if the product is ever used in a commercial or business environment. The
maximum liability of Beurer under this warranty is limited to the purchase price actually paid by the customer
for the product covered by the warranty, as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of the amount of any
other direct or indirect damage suffered by the customer.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product
is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adaptation to enable it to operate in any other country
than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products
damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS APPLICABLE WRITTEN WARRANTY. Some states do not allow

CORRECTAMENTE ESTE PRODUCTO.
PRECAUCIÓN: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales o daño al producto
o a la propiedad:
• Este dispositivo está diseñado solamente para uso doméstico, no comercial, y exclusivamente para
medir la temperatura de los canales auditivos de personas adultas y niños de forma no invasiva a
través de un sensor infrarrojo, así como para detectar temperaturas en la superficie de objetos y tem -
peraturas ambiente del entorno. No lo use para ningún otro propósito.
• No desarme este dispositivo.
• Este termómetro es un dispositivo electrónico sensible. Trátelo con cuidado y no lo exponga a ningún
impacto con objetos afilado.
• No exponga el termómetro a la luz directa del sol.
• Coloque el termómetro en la habitación donde se harán las mediciones al menos 30 minutos antes
de usarlo.
• El termómetro NO es a prueba de agua; manténgalo alejado del agua y de otros líquidos.
• Limpie la punta de medición después de cada uso con una tela suave humedecida con desinfectante.
• Antes de cada uso, asegúrese de que el sensor no esté dañado; de lo contrario, póngase en contacto
con el servicio al cliente.
• Este dispositivo no está diseñado para uso comercial ni clínico.
• Es posible obtener diferentes resultados de medición entre los oídos izquierdo y derecho. Para reg-
istrar cambios de temperatura, mida siempre en el mismo oído para la misma persona.
• Si ha estado en reposo sobre un oído durante algún tiempo, si sus oídos han estado expuestos al
calor o al frío, o si recientemente estuvo nadando o bañándose, las mediciones no serán precisas;
espere 20 minutos antes de hacer la medición.
• Para evitar la contaminación cruzada y garantizar mediciones precisas, vuelva a colocar la cubierta
protectora después de cada uso.
• El termómetro para el oído solo se puede usar con las cubiertas protectoras de Beurer. Si se usan otras
cubiertas protectoras, es posible que se produzcan fallas en las mediciones. Si se queda sin cubiertas
protectoras, póngase en contacto con el fabricante o la tienda para que le proporcionen repuestos.
• La cerilla del oído puede afectar la medición; asegúrese de que el oído esté limpio antes de hacer
la medición.
• No lo use en niños menores de seis meses. En bebés menores de seis meses, el canal auditivo aún
es muy estrecho y la temperatura del tímpano pudiera no registrarse, de modo que los resultados
pueden no ser precisos.
• Al tomar la temperatura en el oído, introduzca con cuidado la punta del sensor del termómetro.
• Este termómetro para el oído está indicado para realizar mediciones de la temperatura en el oído. No
lo utilice para medir la temperatura en otras partes del cuerpo.
• No debe hacerse la medición si el oído está afectado por enfermedades inflamatorias (por ejemplo,
con descarga de pus o secreciones), después de posibles lesiones del oído (por ejemplo, lesión del
tímpano) o después de alguna operación del oído mientras este está sanando.
• La temperatura corporal medida en el oído puede ser diferente de la temperatura medida en la boca,
el recto o las axilas. Por tanto, resulta inútil comparar estos valores.
• Mida la temperatura con regularidad para calcular la temperatura normal del oído y, a continuación,
use esta temperatura como valor de referencia para compararla con las mediciones que realice cuando
sospeche que la temperatura es elevada.

• No use el termómetro en diferentes personas si alguna de ellas tiene una infección en el oído, incluso
si usa cubiertas protectoras en la punta del sensor.
• Use este termómetro para el oído solamente con la cubierta protectora colocada.
• Lea atentamente estas instrucciones de uso y consérvelas para referencia futura.
NOTA:
• La medición de la temperatura proporciona información acerca de su estado de bienestar actual. Si
no está seguro acerca de la interpretación de los resultados o de si los valores son anormales (por
ejemplo, fiebre), consulte a su médico. Esto también es aplicable en caso de cambios pequeños de
temperatura si hay otros síntomas de enfermedad tales como agitación, sudoración intensa, enrojec-
imiento de la piel, pulso rápido, tendencia al colapso, etc.
• Las temperaturas medidas con diferentes termómetros no pueden compararse. Usted debe informar
a su médico, o tener presente, si se mide la temperatura por sí mismo, qué tipo de termómetro usa y
en qué parte del cuerpo se la mide.
Precauciones de seguridad en el manejo de la batería
• U se solo el tamaño y tipo de baterías que se especifican.
• A segúrese de utilizar la polaridad correcta cuando instale las baterías. Las baterías colocadas con la
polaridad invertida pueden dañar el dispositivo.
• N o combine tipos distintos de baterías (por ejemplo, alcalinas con carbono-zinc o recargables) ni bat -
erías usadas con baterías nuevas. Cuando sustituya las baterías, sustitúyalas todas al mismo tiempo.
• S i las baterías del dispositivo están agotadas o el dispositivo no se va a utilizar durante un periodo
de tiempo prolongado, retire las baterías para evitar daños o lesiones por un posible derrame de las
baterías.
• N o intente recargar baterías que no estén diseñadas para ser recargadas; se pueden sobrecalentar
y romper (siga las instrucciones del fabricante de la batería).
• N o arroje las baterías al fuego, ya que podrían explotar o derramarse.
• L impie los contactos de la batería y también los del dispositivo antes de la instalación de la batería.
• R etire las baterías descargadas del producto y deseche/recicle de conformidad con la legislación
aplicable.
• L a ingestión de baterías olíquido de baterías puede ser sumamente peligrosa. Guarde la batería fuera
del alcance de los niños. En caso de que un niño u otra persona llegara a ingerir una batería o líquido
de batería, llame de inmediato al 911.
• E n caso de que el fluido de batería se derrame y haga contacto con los ojos o la piel, enjuague de
inmediato con agua limpia en abundancia. Llame de inmediato al 911.
• L as baterías no deben cargarse ni reactivarse por ningún otro medio.
• L as baterías no deben abrirse, arrojarse al fuego ni conectarse en corto circuito.
• Utilice el termómetro para el oído únicamente con tapas protectoras de Beurer; si utiliza otras tapas
protectoras pueden producirse fallos en la medición. Si desea adquirir tapas protectoras de repuesto,
diríjase al fabricante o a un distribuidor especializado.
• M antenga las baterías lejos del alcance de los niños y las mascotas. Las baterías pueden ser dañinas
en caso de ingestión. Si un niño o una mascota llegan a ingerir una batería, busque atención médica
de inmediato.
Indicaciones relativas a la compatibilidad electromagnética
• El aparato está diseñado para usarse en todos los entornos q ue se especifcan en estas
instrucciones de uso, incluido e l ámbito doméstico.
• El aparato solo se puede usar cerca de perturbaciones e lectromagnéticas de forma restrin-
gida y en determinadas c ircunstancias. Como consecuencia, podrían mostrarse m ensajes
de error o producirse averías en la pantalla o el d ispositivo.
• Se debe evitar el uso de este aparato junto a otros aparatos o apilado con otros aparatos,
ya que esto podría provocar u n funcionamiento incorrecto. Pero si resulta inevitable hacerlo,
deberá vigilar este y los demás aparatos hasta estar s eguro de que funcionan correctamente.

• El uso de accesorios que no sean los indicados o facilitados por el fabricante de este
aparato puede tener como c onsecuencia mayores interferencias electromagnéticas o u na
menor resistencia contra interferencias electromagné t icas del aparato y provocar un fun-

• Si no se tienen en cuenta estas indicaciones, podrían verse a fectadas las características
de funcionamiento del aparato.
2. Introducción
Este termómetro infrarrojo mide:
• T emperatura del oído humano
• T emperatura de la superficie de objetos y líquidos
• T emperatura ambiente

4. Configuración
Antes del primer uso, retire la tira transparente de aislamiento de plástico del compartimiento de baterías.
Retírela con cuidado; el dispositivo se encenderá automáticamente.
Ajuste de la hora y fecha:
1 . Mantenga presionado el botón “ ” durante tres segundos en el dis-
positivo apagado. Aparecerá “12H” en la pantallaLCD.
2 . Por medio del botón de inicio, seleccione el formato de 12 o 24horas.
Presione el botón “ ” para guardar la selección y continuar.
3 . Con este procedimiento, ajuste, consecutivamente, la hora, los minutos,
el año, el mes y el día.
4 . Después de fijar el día, presione el botón “ ” para guardar los cambios
y salir. El dispositivo se apagará.
Selección de una escala de temperatura (°F o °C):
1 . Mantenga presionado el botón de inicio durante tres segundos en el
dispositivo apagado. Aparecerá “°F” en la pantallaLCD.
2 . Por medio del botón de inicio, seleccione °F o °C. A continuación, pre-
sione el botón “ ” para guardar la selección y salir.
Cambio de las baterías:
Hay dos baterías AAA ya instaladas que deberán durar aproximadamente 3000 mediciones. Cuando la carga
de las baterías sea baja, aparecerá el símbolo de batería baja “ ”. Sustituya las baterías en cuanto apa-
rezca en la pantalla el símbolo “ ”.
1 . Apague el termómetro.
2 . Deslice la cubierta del compartimiento de las baterías hacia la parte inferior del termómetro para retirarla.
3 . Retire las baterías usadas y reemplácelas con dos baterías alcalinas AAA nuevas; observe las marcas de
polaridad dentro del compartimiento. Cierre el compartimento.
5. Uso
NOTA:
• Antes de cada uso, verifique que la lente esté intacta. Si está dañada, comuníquese con la tienda
o con el servicio al cliente. Tenga en cuenta que el termómetro para el oído necesita estar en la
habitación donde se toma la lectura al menos 30 minutos antes de usarlo.

Medición de la temperatura del oído:
1 . Coloque una cubierta protectora limpia en el sensor.
->
2 . Presione el botón de encendido “ ” para encender el termómetro:
pitará tres veces y la pantallaLCD se encenderá.
3 . El conducto auditivo es ligeramente curvo. Tire ligeramente de la oreja
hacia arriba y hacia atrás y, a continuación, introduzca el sensor de
modo que la punta de la cubierta protectora apunte directamente hacia
el tímpano.
4 . Una vez que el sensor esté colocado correctamente, presione el botón
de inicio.
5 . Transcurrido aproximadamente un segundo, el termómetro pitará una
vez y mostrará la medición. Presione el botón de encendido para apa-
gar el termómetro.
NOTA: Si no se presiona ningún botón en un minuto, el termómetro se apagará.
Indicador de fiebre:
Si la temperatura medida es inferior a 100.4°F (38°C), en la pantallaLCD aparecerá una cara sonriente “
” y sonará un breve pitido. Si la temperatura medida se encuentra entre 99.5y 100.3°F (37.5a37.9°C),
sonarán también dos breves pitidos,
que indican una temperatura ligeramente alta. Si la temperatura medida es de 100.4°F (38°C) o más, en la
pantalla LCD aparecerá una cara triste “ ” y el dispositivo emitirá un pitido corto, uno largo y tres cortos.

Temperaturas de superficies:
Para medir temperaturas de superficies, coloque el termómetro en modo de temperatura de superficies.
1 . Retire la cubierta protectora del sensor.
2 . Presione el botón de encendido para encender el termómetro.
3 . Mantenga presionados, al mismo tiempo, el botón de encendido y el botón
de inicio para colocar el termómetro en modo de temperatura de superficies.
Aparecerá el icono del modo de temperatura de superficies “ ”.
4 . Sostenga la punta del sensor del termómetro para el oído a una distancia de entre 0.4 y 0.8 pulga-
das (1a2 cm) de la superficie que vaya a medirse y presione el botón de inicio.
5 . Transcurrido un segundo, el termómetro pitará una vez y mostrará la medición.
Presione el botón de encendido para apagar el termómetro.
Temperatura ambiente:
Cuando el termómetro se enciende, en la pantallaLCD aparecen, de manera alternativa, la temperatura
ambiente, la fecha y la hora.

Cómo mostrar las mediciones guardadas:
El termómetro para el oído almacena las últimas 10 temperaturas del oído y de superficies, junto con la fecha
y la hora de las mediciones. Para extraer mediciones almacenadas, siga estos pasos:
1 . Presione el botón de encendido para encender el ter-
mómetro.
2 . Mantenga presionado el botón de encendido durante
tres segundos: en la pantallaLCD aparecerán “MEM” y la
última medición almacenada.
3 . Para ver otras mediciones almacenadas, presione el botón
de encendido para ver el ciclo de lecturas: el número de
memoria se muestra primero, seguido por la medición.

4 . Para proceder con una nueva medición, presione el botón de inicio; de otra forma, presione y mantenga
así el botón de encendido durante tres segundos para apagar el termómetro.
6. Cuidado y mantenimiento
• L as cubiertas protectoras solo deben usarse una vez. Deben desecharse después
de cada uso.
• E l sensor es la parte más sensible del termómetro. Proceda con cuidado cuando
limpie el sensor para evitar dañar el producto. Use una tela limpia o un hisopo de
algodón humedecido con desinfectante, alcohol o agua tibia.
• P ara limpiar la superficie exterior del termómetro, use una tela suave humedecida
en una solución jabonosa suave.
• N o use productos de limpieza abrasivos.
• C uando vaya a guardarlo durante un periodo de tiempo largo, quite las baterías.
• N o use ni guarde el dispositivo a temperaturas excesivamente altas o bajas, en condiciones de humedad
demasiado alta o baja (vea las especificaciones técnicas), bajo la luz solar directa, cerca de una corriente
eléctrica ni en lugares polvorientos.
• L impie la punta del sensor después de cada uso. Use una tela limpia o un hisopo de algodón que pueda
humedecerse con alcohol o agua tibia.
• P ara limpiar el dispositivo, use una tela húmeda y detergente suave. Asegúrese de que el agua no pen-
etre en el dispositivo. Si el dispositivo se humedece, retire la batería de inmediato y deje secar comple-
tamente antes de volver a usarlo.
• N unca sumerja el dispositivo en agua.
• P ara proteger la punta del sensor, vuelva a colocar siempre la cubierta protectora después del uso.
• C uando almacene el dispositivo durante un periodo largo, retire las baterías.
