Inseego SKYUS 160 Series User manual

Quick start guide
This guide provides instructions for configuring and connecting your Skyus 160.
Step one: install SIM cards
–Remove battery cover and
battery to expose SIM slots.
–Slide SIM socket retainer to
unlocked position.
–Lift SIM retainer.
–Place SIM in appropriate slot in
orientation shown. If using only
one SIM, you can use either slot.
–Press down retainer.
–Move retainer to locked position.
–Reinstall battery and battery
cover.
Finger tighten your antennas onto the threaded antenna ports*. NOTE: At a minimum,
be sure to connect antennas to CELL 1 and CELL 2. The device will not work without cell
antennas connected.
Step two: connect antennas
* Recommended torque is 5 in-lbs.
** Ensure GPS antenna is located with clear access to GNSS satellites.

Step four: use your device
After the device has been connected and powered up for at least 10 mins, you can verify
connectivity by opening up an internet browser and confirming that you can reach a web
page.

such as password change, refer to the user guide at https://inseego.com/resources/
product-documentation/.
Step five: set up Inseego Connect
Go to connect.inseego.com to sign up for a free Inseego Connect account that lets you
configure settings, monitor status, and update the firmware on your device. Additional
functionality can be obtained with a subscription to Inseego Connect Standard or
Advanced.
Step three: power on and connect your device
Power the device via 4-pin, Ethernet, or USB port and connect to a PC using Ethernet, USB
or Wi-Fi. NOTE: To allow the Skyus adequate time to provision with your service provider,
leave it on for at least 10 mins when the device is first connected.
