FCC Warning

LEDs
The front panel LED indicators provide at-a-glance network status and
real-time connectivity info, as detailed in the chart below.
Ports
The auto-negotiation feature of the Fast Ethernet Ofce Switch provides
automatic crossover detection functionality for any port, making it easy
to uplink to another switch without the need for special crossover cable.
LED Status Operation
Power Green The switch is on.
Off Power is disconnected.
Link/Act Green Valid port connection; ready to transmit/receive.
Flashing Data is being transmitted or received.
Off Port is disconnected.

installatiOn
The Fast Ethernet Ofce Switch can be placed on a desktop or other
appropriate at surface. Prior to installation, check that:
• the device will have adequate ventilation and room for cable and power
adapter connections. A minimum clearance of 25 mm (1 inch) on all
sides is recommended.
• the location is fairly cool and dry. (See Specications for the acceptable
temperature and humidity operating ranges.)
• the location is free from electrical noise from radios, transmitters,
broadband ampliers and such.
