The 5-Port Gigabit PoE Passthrough Switch is designed to take power from a PoE switch and
pass both data and electrical power to a number of PoE-compatible devices via standard Cat5e
or Cat6 network cables. Equipped with five Gigabit Ethernet ports, this switch can: power up to
four wireless LAN access points and bridges, VoIP phones and/or IP video cameras; draw its own
power from the PoE switch it’s connected to; and deliver network speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps.
When you connect the PD port (Port 1) to a PoE-enabled, IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant PoE switch, the
Intellinet Network Solutions PoE-Powered 5-Port Gigabit Switch uses some of the electric current to
power itself (4 watts) and passes the available surplus power to up to four PoE edge devices, such as
IP cameras, allowing you to realize the full potential of each of the PSE ports in your data center.

This switch is equipped with five Gigabit ports, a power connector and an on/off switch. Each of
the four PSE ports (Ports 2-5) can provide up to 30 watts. The product is compliant with IEEE 802.3af
and IEEE 802.3at standards and can be powered either by the included adapter or via PoE.

PD (powered device) port. When connected to a IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant PoE
injector, midspan or PoE switch, this switch will draw power from that device;
the included power adapter does not need to be used. This port can
also be connected to any standard Ethernet port.

Power
If using this switch as a passthrough power source for PoE devices on Ports 2, 3, 4 and 5, the PD port (1)
on this switch can receive up to 30 watts of power from a connected PoE injector or PoE switch. Since
this switch uses up to 4 watts of the potential incoming 30, roughly 26 watts is available for the four
ports, which is an average of 6.5 watts. That is enough to power as many as four network cameras or
VoIP phones (as long as they do not need more power than the remaining watts). To add a device such
as a high-performance Gigabit Wireless AC access point that needs a lot more power, use the included
external adapter. When connected, the maximum power budget rises from 26 watts to 60 watts.

Der 5-Port PoE Gigabit Switch mit PoE-Passthrough (561082) erhält Daten und Strom auf Port 1 und verteilt Strom
