3.2Intendeduse
Thelowactivewheelchairisintendedtoprovidemobilityto
personslimitedtoasittingpositionandshouldonlybeused
forassistedtransportofadisabledpersonwithmobility
difculties.
Thewheelchairisintendedforpersonsages12andup
(adolescentsandadults).Theweightofthewheelchair
occupantmustnotexceedthemaximumuserweightas
statedintheTechnicalDatasectionandontheidentication
label.
Theintendeduseristhewheelchairoccupantand/oran
assistant.

3.7.1ElevatingLegrests
Theelevatinglegrestsarettedinpairstothe
wheelchair.Whenadjustingorremoving,remember
thatthereisoneelevatinglegrestfortherighthand
sideandanotherforthelefthandside.
Thelegrestsshownarelegrestsupportswithanintegral
padforsupportingthelowerleg.Thelegrestscanbe
swungawayandremoved.
Using:
Theoperationsforswingawayandremovingarethesame
asforthefootrestsupports.
Adjusting:
Toadjusttheangleofthelegrest,liftitupwardstothe
anglerequired.Tolowerthelegrest,holdtheleginone
handandoperatethereleaseleverAwiththeotherhand.
Lowertotherequiredposition.
Thecalfsupportpadcanbepivotedwhenfoldingthe
wheelchair.Thepositioncanalsobesetonthemounting
tubeinoneofthreelocations.Itcanalsobesetalongthe
mountingtubebyslidingintothechosenlocationB.
3.7.2FootplateAssemblies
Independentfootplatesforfootrestsupports
Thefootplateassembliescompriseofanadjustmenttube
andfootplateandareintendedsolelyasafootsupport
whenyouaresittinginthewheelchairandshouldnotbe
usedforstanding.Eachfootplateassemblycanbeadjusted
inheight.Thefootplatescanbepivotedtoanupright
positiontoaidfronttransfers.

supporttube,tightenthexingbolt(10Nm)tosecure.
Recommendedheightadjustmentforfootplates–minimum
101mm(4”)forkerbclearance.
Independentfootplateassembliesforelevatinglegrests
Thefootrestscompriseapairofmountingtubeandrest
assembliesandareintendedsolelyasafootsupportwhen
youaresittingdown.Eachfootplateassemblycanslide
intotheelevatinglegrestontheappropriatesideandits
heightcanbeadjusted.Thefootplatescanberaisedfor
fronttransfers.
Adjustingthefootplateassembliesonthelegrests:
ReleasethexingscrewAwith13mmspannerandposition
thefootrestassemblyattherequiredheightinthelegrest
tube.Tightenthexingbolt(10Nm)tosecure.
3.7.3HeelSupportStraps
Toensurethecorrectfootpositionismaintained,the
footrestisttedwithheelstrapsasastandardfeature.
Thestrapcannotberemovedandshouldberepositioned
towardsthefrontwhenfoldingbackthefootplate.
3.8TransitVersion
Thetransitversionisdesignedtobedrivenonlybythe
attendant.Tofacilitatesidewaystransfersandsavespace,
thewheelchairisequippedwithrearwheelsof305mm
(12").
Thedistancebetweenthebrakeshoeandthesolid
tyrecanbeadjusted.Theadjustmentmustbe
carriedoutbyaqualiedtechnician.
Theparkingbrakesareonlyaccessibletotheattendant;
operatethehandlesAtolockortounlockthewheelchair
inparkingposition.

aqualiedtechnicianandttedbythe
