3. Putting into Operation
Operating Instructions:
•Connect machine to the power supply.
•Fill the reserve canister (see “Filling”)
•WARNING! Do not fill in any substances other than water and do not fill in
pure distilled water.
•We recommend to mix distilled water with tap water at a ratio of 1:1. If
particularly hard water is used we recommend to add IP Clean WKM water
softener concentrate or to use the IP Clean filter for water softening.
•Switch on main switch/water pump switch (2).
•Now water is pumped from the reserve canister into the boiler until the
maximum water level is reached. Now switch on heating switch (4).
•After about 10-15 min. the manometer (3) shows 5 bar and the green working-
pressure light (5) lights up. The machine is ready for operation.
•Take the steam pistol. By pressing the red micro switch (12) you can now
steam-clean the desired objects. While steaming, please hold the pistol over a
wash basin.
•The steam flow can be controlled by means of the steam flow control knob
(10).
•Switch off the machine at the end of work.
The machine has a boiler volume of 4,8 l. The 2-way tank system allows
refilling during operation along with permanent water level control.
Water Level Control
With dropping pressure the heating is activated automatically. The water level
in the boiler is monitored. As the water level falls, water is pumped from the
white canister into the boiler as required.
Once the water level in the reserve canister has dropped below a certain
minimum an acoustic signal will be generated, the so-called buzzer. Now the
reserve canister (7) needs to be refilled.
Decalcifying
•Depending on the hardness of water (lime content in per cent) the
machine needs to be decalcified periodically, at best every 3-6 months.
•Use decalcifying agents e.g. IP Clean EKM.
•Let the decalcifying agent work over night.
