1. Check supplied equipment and accessories:
2. Place the flask into the heating mantle and fasten by means of the provided chain clamp.

3. Prepare specimens as specified in the referring standard (DIN EN 579) and place them in the
provided cages.
4. Proceed to fill the flask with the solvent as appropriate; refer to and follow the safety
instructions and data sheet provided by the manufacturer.
5. Switch power on and adjust controller to the required temperature setting. Check the
temperature with the provided thermometer.
6. Place the cages into the flask using the provided crucible tongs.

7. Proceed to assemble lid complete with its O-ring, Dimroth cooler and sealing plug.
8. Connect inlet and outlet hose of the Dimroth cooler with water supply and drain. Cooling power
is to be adjusted directly from the domestic water faucet.
