Turning the Product on/off & Mode Selection
Turning the Product on/off
1. Slide the POWER / HOLD key to the arrow direction
to turn on the product.
2. While the product is tuned on, slide the POWER /
HOLD key to the arrow direction to tum it off.
m This product has an automatic power saving function to save battery power.
Based on the settings in power save mode, the product will be automatically
tumed off after a pre-determined period without operation. For more information on
setting this mode, refer to Settings > Timer > Auto Power off. (Refer to page 26.)

press the | > ] button to enter the mode.

USB cable provided.

2. The integrated battery will charge automatically.
= Do not use any USB cable other than the one included with the product.
This may cause a malfunction.
m Check if the product is connected to a high-power USB 2.0 port. Some low-power
USB ports built into certain peripheral devices, such as some types of keyboards
and USB hubs without integrated power may not provide enough power to charge.
= While the PC is switched to standby mode, the product may not be charged.
m Charge the product only at room temperature.
The product may not be charged in extremely hot or cold place.
= The battery will be fully charged within about 3 hours.
(When completely uncharged in Power only Mode)
m The available usage time of charged battery becomes short over time.
= The charging time might be extended if you use the product while charging.

Connecting Products
Connecting the Product to Your PC
1. Tum on your PC.
2. Connect the product to your PC using the USB cable.
3. İf properly connected, the LCD will display as below.
Power & Data : The product is currently being charged and
data is being transferred.
Power & Play : The product is currently being charged and
a file is being played.
Power Only :The product is currently being charged.
m \tis recommended to stop all operations before connect the product to your
PC for optinum performance,
m Check if the product is connected to a high-power USB 2.0 port. Some low-power
USB ports built into certain peripheral devices, such as some types of keyboards
and USB hubs without integrated power may not provide enough power to charge.

m The icon on the taskbar may be hidden in some operating systems.
Click Show hidden icons to display the hidden icon.
= The Safely Remove Hardware function may not be available while using some
applications such as Windows Explorer or Windows Media Player. Close all
applications first before performing the Safely Remove Hardware.
m If the Safely Remove Hardware is not performed properly, try again after a few
minutes. If the product is removed without observing the above process,
data in the product might be damaged.

Music
Selecting Music
1. In the main mode, select MUSIC to display the music
list.
The list is displayed by Now Playing, All Music, Aloums, Artists,
Genres, My Playlists, Bookmark List or My Rating.
2. Press the [A/W/ < / > | button to select the musi
and press the [| > ] button to play it.
< : Moves to the upper list / folder
> : Moves to the sub list / Plays selected file.
A /V : Moves within the list

m |n the Music mode, files only in the Music folder are displayed.
To browse and play music files in other folders, use the File Browser mode.
m Supported file formats: MP3 (8-320 Kbps), WMA (over 32 Kbps)
m You can manage your playlist using iriver plus 3 or Windows Media Player 11.

Playing Music
e While playing, press the | */— | button to control
the volume.
e While playing, press the | > ] button to pause / resume.
e While playing, press and hold the [n/w] button to fast
reverse or fast forward.
e While playing, press the [A/™] button to play the
previous / next music.

Additional Features
1. While playing file or in standby screen, press and hold
the [ > | button to display the additional features.
2. Press the | A/ © | button to select the additional
feature and press the [| > | button to display the
window for setting it up.
< : Moves to the upper list
3. Press the | A/~ | button to set the feature up and
press the | > | button to save / operate it.
e AB Repeat: Plays between point A and B repeatedly.
e Select AB Repeat and press the | > | button to select the point
A and display the playing screen. Press the | >] button again
to select the point B. Now the player plays between point A
and B repeatedly. Press the [ >] button again to deactivate
the repeat playback.
» Select Repeat Times in additional features to set times to
repeat A-B.

e Play Mode: Sets the play mode.
e Add Bookmark: Bookmarks a specific point of time.
e Select EQ: Sets the EQ.
e Setup Sound: Determines the sound setting.
- Custom EQ: Changes levels of each frequency range
to create your own equalization.
- Fade-In: Volume increases gradually when playback starts.

e Rate: Classifies your favorite music by star ratings.
e Scan Speed: Sets the speed of music scanning,
e Repeat Times: Set times to repeat A-B.
e Delete File : Deletes the selected file.
e Information: Displays information for the selected file.

Pictures
Selecting Picture
1. In the main mode, select PICTURE to display the
picture list.
2. In the list, press the [A/W/€ / > | button to select
the picture and press the [ > | button to play it with
full screen.
< : Moves to upper folder.
> : Moves to the sub folder. Displays the picture in full screen.
A/N : Moves within the list
m |n the Pictures mode, only pictures in the pictures folder are displayed.
To browse and play picture files in other folders, use the File Browser mode.
m Supported file formats:
JPG, BMP (Some file types may not be fully compatible.)
m While playing music, select the Pictures mode to stop music playback and
display the picture list.

Viewing Picture
e While viewing pictures, press the | > ] button to start /
stop slide show.
e While viewing pictures, press the [A /v | button to
play the previous / next picture.

to display additional features.
2. Press the | A/* | button to select the additional
feature and press the [| > | button to display the
window for setting it up.

e İmage Delay : Selects the amount of time each picture
is displayed on the screen during a slide show.
e Zoom : Sets the ratio to enlarge picture.
e Delete File : Deletes the selected file.
e Information : Displays information for the selected file.
= Some picture files with low resolution might not support the Zoom function.
= The Additional Features screen is deactivated during a slide show.

FM Radio
Listening to FM RADIO
1. In the main mode, select FM Radio to display recently
used Preset channels.
2. Press the [A^ /V | button to select the FM radio station.

Listening to Recorded FM Radio
e While listening to FM radio, press the | +/— | button to
control the volume.
e Press the [ > | button to activate / deactivate Preset.
e After deactivating Preset, press the [ A/V | button to
move to the previous / next frequency.
e While deactivating Preset, press and hold the [A/N ]
button to move to the available previous / next frequency.
e After activating preset, press and hold the |[AW/* ] to
move to the saved previous / next preset.
