LIMITED WARRANTY
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and/or
workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of original installation, not
to exceed 18 months from the date of manufacture.
Any component which proves to be faulty in material and/or
workmanship will be replaced or repaired (at the option of Prince Castle,
Inc.) without cost to the customer for parts and labor. This equipment is
portable; charges for on-location service (e.g., trip charges, mileage) are
not included in the provisions of this warranty.
This warranty is subject to the following exceptions/conditions:
• Use of any non-genuine Prince Castle parts voids this warranty.
• All labor to be performed during regular work hours. Overtime
premium (the incremental amount) will be charged to the customer.
•
Damage caused by carelessness, neglect and/or abuse (e.g., dropping,
tampering or altering parts, equipment damaged in shipment, by fire,
flood or an act of God) is not covered under this warranty.
• All problems due to operation at voltages other than that specified on
equipment nameplates are not covered by this warranty. Conversion
to correct voltage is the customer’s responsibility.
•
This equipment must be serviced by Prince Castle Authorized Service
Agency or a Prince Castle Service Technician during the warranty
period.

Installation
Safety Information
Remove the unit from the carton and inspect for signs of damage. If
there is damage to the unit:
• notify the carrier within 24 hours of delivery
• save carton and packaging materials for inspection purposes
• contact your local dealer, or if purchased directly, the Prince Castle
Sales Department at 800-722-7853 or 1-630-462-8800 to arrange for a
replacement unit.
Use the bracket holes on back of unit as a template, mark the mounting
holes location. Install unit using hardware provided.
Plug the power cord into the proper electrical receptacle. All electrical
connections must be in accordance with local electrical codes and any
other applicable codes.
When the unit is plugged into the proper electrical receptacle,
the display will look like this and the unit will be in RUN mode.
The 841-T8JIB Series multi-function timers feature multiple channels
that can be programmed to perform the following timing functions on
each channel: Total Cook Time & Duty During Cook Time.
Each channel can be programmed separately and used simultaneously.
The alphanumeric display shows the current channel and function
being monitored. Each channel button features a corresponding LED to
indicate time remaining for the channel closest to completing its cycle.

Pushing the channel button activates it. “Traffic signal” style LED’s
change color as the timing process counts down, then an audible alarm
coupled with a flashing LED alerts the operator when timing is complete.
The timer comes shipped complete with a mounting bracket and
menu stickers to identify channels.

1Press the desired CHANNEL Button to start the timing cycle.
-Display will show the timer channel number and product name
- The hour:minute (H:M) or minute:second (M:S) LED will light
- Timer will start to count down the pre-programmed time to 0
To cancel the most recently started timing function, press the
Remove/Cancel button then press the desired channel button
within 5 seconds.

When cycle is complete, the display flashes :00 and the
alarm will sound.
Press the CHANNEL button with the flashing red LED to
cancel the alarm and end the cycle.

All channels can be activated and operating at the same time.
Press the SCAN/UP or SCAN/DOWN buttons, or any active
CHANNEL button, to check the time values for a channel. The
channel number and time value will appear in the display.
If no other button is pressed within 5 seconds, the display will
show the channel with the least remaining cycle time.

The alarm sound level may be adjusted with the unit in RUN
mode. Press and hold the JACK IN THE BOX LOGO Button, then
within 6 seconds, press the SCAN/UP or SCAN/DOWN Arrow
button to adjust the alarm level accordingly.
Alarm levels can be set from S-0 thru S-3, with S-3 being the
loudest.
NOTE: Each
channel can have
up to 3 batches
running at the
same time.

If the product is programmed for more than one duty function,
the channel LED will turn yellow and the alarm will sound for 5
seconds.
The Channel/Function display will alternate between the first
duty function and the next duty function to be performed.
Perform the function and press the appropriate CHANNEL button.

To enter programming mode, press the JACK IN THE BOX
LOGO button for approximately 8 seconds; a beep will sound
and the display will read as shown.
Press the desired CHANNEL button to be programmed. COOK
TIME is the first function to show on the display.
The channel button LED will turn yellow, a beep will sound and
the total COOK time will be displayed. The time value will show
either H:M (hour:minutes) or M:S (minutes:seconds).

To change from minutes:seconds (M:S) to hours:minutes (H:M),
press and hold the SCAN/UP Button. When the display reaches
5599::5599it will automatically change to 11::0000hour and the LED will
switch from M:S to H:M. To remain in minutes:seconds, skip
this step.
