1. Installing Batteries
1. PressintheBatterycoverLOCK button andslideback/ open thecover.
2. Insert four(4)freshAAAalkalinebatteries; noteterminalspolarityand align batteries

1. Normal:SettoNormal fortypicalvideoorpicturetakingwhen thesubjectis
located at 5feetormorefromtherecorder.
2. Macro: Set toMacro onlyforshooting veryclose-up objectslocated just
6~10 inchesfromrecorder.

4. PowerONand OFF your recorder
1. OpentheLCDscreen
2.PressandthenholdthePowerbuttondownfortwotothreesecondstoturnthe
powerON. ThePowerindicatorwill light, therecorderbecomesactiveandtheLCD
will displaythescene.
3. Press thePowerbutton againfortwotothreeseconds(whenrecorderisactive)toturn
thepowerOFF.
AutoPowerOFF:YourrecorderhasAutoPowerOFF feature.
Ifrecorderisunusedfor1minute,thepowerwillturnOFF automaticallytosave
batteries.TheAutoPowerOFF timemaybesetto1,3or5minutes(reviewSetup
Menu modefordetails).
3. LowPower/ Batterylevelindicator:Thelowpowericonwill appearonthe
LCDScreen when thebatteriesareexhausted andrecorderwill beautomatically
turned OFF. Replaceexhaustedbatteries

PresstheLEDsupport light buttontoactivatethislamp. Press againtoturnOFF.
SelftimerLEDindicator
-Thislampindicatesthat therecorderisactiveinSelf-timerMode.
RefertosectioninmanualforSelf-timersetting details.
Display Buttonoperation
PressingtheDisplayButton will createfollowingchanges:
- Pressoncetoremoveall informationiconsand numbersfromtheLCD screen;this
will helpyou toimproveframing and selecting therecorded scene.
- Pressitasecondtimeand thescreen becomesblankbutcameraisstill activeas
indicatedbythePowerindicatorlamp.Theblankscreen will helpyoutosave
batterypowerduringrecordingoflong video.
- PressagaintoreturntoLCDdisplayingtypicalscreen withall icons
