•PleasenotethattheSDcardhastiny LOCKslideronthesideforwrite
protection oftheSDmemorycardthathelpsavoidinadvertentdeletionofimage
files.Setthissliderto “un-LOCK”position forstoringstillimagesor
recordingvideo.
•RecorderwillacceptSD/SDHCMemorycardswithmaxcapacityupto8GB
•SDMemorycardissimpleandconvenientbutdelicateelectronicdevice;donot
open,bendand overheatthecard.Keepthecardawayfromstrongmagnetic
fieldanddirty/harshenvironment.

•If yourSDcardhasbeenusedpreviouslywithotherdevices/ cameras oris
brandnew –thecardmayrequiretobe formatted –pleaseensureyousaveall
valuablerecordsbeforeformatting.
InsertingtheSDCard
1. OpentheBatteryCoverandslideinthecard;aligning thecardwithorientation
markonthevideorecorderandpushcardall waydown
Donotforcethecardwheninsertingtoavoiddamaging –checkposition and
re-insertcarefully.
2. Toremovethecard,pleasepressgentlyand releasethecard;recorderwill eject
theSDcardautomatically
Note: InsertandremovethecardonlywhentherecorderisturnedOFF.
Inserting/ removingthecardmayotherwisedamageorerasestoreddata.
Maintenance ofthevideorecorder
Keepandstoreyourrecorderawayfromhumid,dust andharmful chemicalenvironment.
Donotstoreoroperatetherecorderundertheextremelyhotorcoldcondition.
Keeprecordercleanandtakecaretoavoidscratching ordamagingofthehousingandthe
lens.Blowdustawayandusesoftclothifthelensbecomesdirtyorcontaminated.
Donot useanorganicsolventtocleanlens.
Removebatteriesifyouarenotplanningtousetherecorderforanextendedtime.

Thevideorecorder uses4alkalinebatteriesAAAsizeaspowersupply.
SlideandopentheBatteryCoverandinsertbatteriescorrectlyfollowingthepolarity
markingsontheBatteryCover,thenclosethecover.

Beforechanginginstalledbutexhaustedbatteries, first turnOFFtherecorder.
2. SD/SDHCMemoryCardInstallation
OpentheBatteryCoverandinserttheSD/SDHCmemorycardintotheCardSlot.
FollowtheprintedmarkindicatingSDCardpositionwiththemetalconnectorfacing
inwardstheslot.
Toremove/replacetheSD/MMCmemorycardpress thecardagain;thecardwillpopup
and youmayremovethecardfromtherecorder.

5. Turningvideorecorder OFF
- WhentherecorderisturnedON,press andholdthePowerButtontoturnOFF
therecorder.
Notethatifvideorecorderisnotusedorisinactive,thentheAutoOFF featurewill
turnrecorderOFFaftersetperiodtoconservebatteries.
AutoOFF delaytime (1, 3or5minutes)maybeselected.
MENU Setup/InternalSetting
WhenthevideorecorderisactiveyoumayenterMENU/ InternalSettingoptions.
- Press theMENUButtontoenterVideoRecordingMenu/CameraMenu/Playback
Menu, dependingonwhethertherecorderisinVideoRecording/ Camera(Still Photo
Taking)or PlaybackMode.
- If youwant toenterInternalSettingMenu ,pressRIGHTbuttonimmediately.
(NotethatyoucanaccessInternalSettingMenu onlyfromVIDEORecording,
CAMERAandthePLAYBACKMode –thereisno accesstotheInternalSetting Menu
fromtheAudioRecordingMode.)
- UseUP/ DOWNbuttonstoselect desiredsetting/ MENUoption –seecorresponding
highlightedMENUoption.

ConnecttocomputerusingtheUSBcable.Thedevicewill thenenterthePortableHard
