Memoryand storage:

withoutSDcardinserted.Pleaseprocureand useSD/SDHC memorycardtogreatlyextend
recording and storagecapability.
2.WhenSD/SDHC memorycardisinserted,camerawill storeall imagesand video on the
memorycardand internalmemorywill bedisabled.

Protectyour camera
1. Usethewrist straptocarryrecordersafelyand prevent it fromfalling accidentally.
2.Avoidtouching orscratching thelens.
3. Ifnecessaryblowawayanydust ordebrisfromlenssurface, thenusesoft clothortissuefor
opticaldevicestoclean thelens. Donot useorganicsolvent toclean lensorthedevice.

5.Removethebatteryandstorerecorderindryplaceifyou plan notusingitforextended time.
6.Productisdesigned tooperateinnormalenvironmentwithtemperaturesbetween32F –
104F(0to40C)Avoidleaving therecorderexposed toextremetemperatures,suchasinthe

2. Basicoperation
2.1Installing thebattery
Press/slidedowntheBatteryCoverand insertsuppliedLi-Onbattery.Notebattery
contactsand correct polarityofterminals. ClosetheBatteryCover.
Charging theBattery
1. Poweroff therecorder.
2. Connect therecordertothecomputerUSB port withUSB cabletochargethebattery.
3. Duringcharging, Busy light will illuminateandit will turnoffwhen batteryisfullycharged.
2.2Using SD/SDHC memorycard
Recordermust beturned OFF beforeinsertingorremoving thememorycard.
InserttheSD/SDHCMemorycardintotheCardSlot. Donotforcetoavoiddamaging the
cardortherecorder. Pleasecheckalignmentandrepeat inserting ifnecessary.
Toremove/replacetheSD/SDHC memorycardpress the cardagain;the cardwill pop up and

you mayremovethe cardfromthe camera.
NotethattheSDCardhasatinyLOCKswitchontheside.Settheswitchtoun-LOCK
position inordertosaverecorded videos& still pictureson insertedSDCard.
2.3. Turn therecorderON/OFF
-PressthePowerKeytopowerON(activate)thecamera.
-PressthePowerKeyagaintoturnthecameraOFF.
-When the recorder is notused buthasbeen turned ON, the AutoOFF featurewillturnitOFFto
conservebatteries.AutoOFF timedelayof 1, 3or5minutesmaybe selected.
-Whenbatterylevelisverylowtherecorderwill turnOFF afterseveralseconds.Please
rechargetherecorderpromptly.
2.3Selecting therecording MODE
Pressing the MODEkeywill switch/ select between following modes:
•Video Recording
•Camera(taking Still photo)
2.4Videorecording
Beforerecording videoyoumaypress LeftorRight keytochangeorselect desired

VideoResolution fromavailableoptions: QVGA(320x240); D1(720x480);
HD(1280X720). Notethat D1resolution(720x480)) isthedefault modesetting.
-PresstheMODE Keyandselect Video Recording mode.
-PresstheShutterkeytoSTARTrecordingavideoclip;presstheShutterkeyagainto
STOPrecording.
Whilerecordingyou maypressUPorDOWNkeytozoomINorzoomOUToftherecorded
scene.
2.5 Camera(StillPhotoTaking)
-Select theCameramodeandpressShutterKeytosnap onephoto.
IntheCameramodeyou maypressLeftorRight keytoselect desired thephotosize
resolution: 1.3Megapixels(1280x1024); 3.1Megapixels(2048x1536); 5Megapixels
(2592x1944). Notethat 1.3Megapixels(1280x1024)isthedefault modesetting.
PressUPorDOWNkeytozoomINorzoomOUToftheimage.

2.6Playback
-Press thePlaybackKeytoenterplaybackmodeand LCDdisplaywill showlastrecorded
imageorfile. Press ◄keyor ►keytoselectanotherrecording orstill picture.
-Afteryou selectonevideo file, Press OK keytoSTARTplayingvideo, pressOK keyagain
toSTOPthevideo.
WhileinPlaybackmode,you maypress UPorDOWNkeytozoomINorzoomOUTofthe
displayed image. Whileat zoomINmode, you maypress OKkeytoenterthePANmode.
InPANmodeyoumayusefour-waydirection keytomovethephotoaroundviewing
selecteddetailsonLCDscreen.
2.7TV output
Yourcameraisequipped withTVoutputport; youcan review
and playbackyourrecordsonstandardand/orHigh Definition
TV bigscreen!
Note:
lIfthememoryisfull ortheSDcardisLOCK-ed, therecorderwill not takeanyfurther
recording.TurnthecameraOFF andun-LOCKorreplacethecardtocontinue
recording.

-Usesupplied AV cableand connect devicetoTV set. (makesurerecorderisturnedOFF)
-InserttheyellowjackintotheVIDEOINofyourTVand insertredorwhitejackintothe
AUDIOINport ofyourTV.
-Insertthesinglejack(oftheAVcable)intothevideorecorderTVOUTportand then
activatetherecorder.
-TurnONtheTVsetand select VIDEOINmode.
TVscreen will displayscene,orstored images/photoswhen thePlaybackmodeis
selected.
2.8Deleting records
You maydelete/ erasestored records, video andphotos.
-Select thePLAYBACK mode, thenrecorderscreen will displaystoredimageorfile.
-Press theDeletekeytoenterDeleteMenu options;useLeftorRightkeys toselect
availabledelete “All”, ”No”or “Yes”options.
-Select “Yes”then press OKkeytodeletecurrentimage;select “All”then pressOKkeyto
deleteall images; select ”No”orpress Deletekeytoexit deletion mode.

2.9Connecting camerawithPC
1. Slide the USB SwitchDOWNtoextend the USBconnector and turnthe recorderON. Usea
fingernail if necessarytoreleaseand movethe adjacent USBprotectivecover.
2. Insertthe recorderUSB connectorintocomputerUSB portorusesupplied USB extension
cableand toconnect tocomputerUSB port.

2.10Downloading files toPC
1. When recorderisconnected tothe computer,select"MyComputer”and open the "Removable
Disk."Select and open theRemovableDisc;
2. The video and imagesarestored inside the \DCIM\ 100MEDIAfolder. Openthis folder.
3. Choosethe desired video orphotofileand copy(ordrag)fileintoselected location /target
folderinyourcomputer.
Installing ArcSoft MediaImpressionsoftware.
Theinstallation (supplied)CD containsvideo/ photoediting ArcSoft program.
Withinstalled MediaImpression program,youmayplaybackoreditrecordsand you will have
easyaccesstoYouTube –you can download and shareyourvideowithallviewers!
Installingtheprogram.
-InsertsuppliedCDintotheCD-ROMofthecomputer,thenthefollowing menuwill run
automatically.:

lIfthe CD driver doesnotstartautomatically(dependson yourcomputer configuration) go toMy
Computer,then selectthe CDDriveand click/open autorun.exe program.
InstalinglMediaImpression:
Click “Install MediaImpression”button and completetheinstallation asperindicated steps

Run and usingthe MediaImpression:
Doubleclicktheicononthedesktoporfollow “Start →Programs”toopen:

Afterstarting MediaImpression, clickthe “Import”toimport themedia.
Choosethevideo camerastorageandchoosetheoutput location.

Chooserequirefileand clicktheimport, selected filewill bestoredintheoutput location.
Click “Gotostartpage”toreturnthemainscreen,clickthe “Video”or “All media”tousethe
“YouTube”function.
