Protectyour camera
1. Usethewrist straptocarryrecordersafelyand prevent it fromfalling accidentally.
2.Avoidtouching orscratching thelens.
3. Ifnecessaryblowawayanydust ordebrisfromlenssurface, thenusesoft clothortissuefor
opticaldevicestoclean thelens. Donot useorganicsolvent toclean lensorthedevice.

5.Removethebatteryandstorerecorderindryplaceifyou plan notusingitforextended time.
6.Productisdesigned tooperateinnormalenvironmentwithtemperaturesbetween32F –

2. Basicoperation
2.1Installing thebattery
Press/slidedowntheBatteryCoverand insertsuppliedLi-Onbattery.Notebattery
contactsand correct polarityofterminals. ClosetheBatteryCover.
Charging theBattery
1. Poweroff therecorder.
2. Connect therecordertothecomputerUSB port withUSB cabletochargethebattery.
3. Duringcharging, Busy light will illuminateandit will turnoffwhen batteryisfullycharged.
2.2Using SD/SDHC memorycard
Recordermust beturned OFF beforeinsertingorremoving thememorycard.
InserttheSD/SDHCMemorycardintotheCardSlot. Donotforcetoavoiddamaging the
cardortherecorder. Pleasecheckalignmentandrepeat inserting ifnecessary.
Toremove/replacetheSD/SDHC memorycardpress the cardagain;the cardwill pop up and

you mayremovethe cardfromthe camera.
NotethattheSDCardhasatinyLOCKswitchontheside.Settheswitchtoun-LOCK
position inordertosaverecorded videos& still pictureson insertedSDCard.
2.3. Turn therecorderON/OFF
-PressthePowerKeytopowerON(activate)thecamera.
-PressthePowerKeyagaintoturnthecameraOFF.
-When the recorder is notused buthasbeen turned ON, the AutoOFF featurewillturnitOFFto
conservebatteries.AutoOFF timedelayof 1, 3or5minutesmaybe selected.
-Whenbatterylevelisverylowtherecorderwill turnOFF afterseveralseconds.Please
rechargetherecorderpromptly.
2.3Selecting therecording MODE
Pressing the MODEkeywill switch/ select between following modes:
•Video Recording
•Camera(taking Still photo)
2.4Videorecording
Beforerecording videoyoumaypress LeftorRight keytochangeorselect desired

VideoResolution fromavailableoptions: QVGA(320x240); D1(720x480);
HD(1280X720). Notethat D1resolution(720x480)) isthedefault modesetting.
-PresstheMODE Keyandselect Video Recording mode.
-PresstheShutterkeytoSTARTrecordingavideoclip;presstheShutterkeyagainto
STOPrecording.
Whilerecordingyou maypressUPorDOWNkeytozoomINorzoomOUToftherecorded
scene.
2.5 Camera(StillPhotoTaking)
-Select theCameramodeandpressShutterKeytosnap onephoto.
IntheCameramodeyou maypressLeftorRight keytoselect desired thephotosize
resolution: 1.3Megapixels(1280x1024); 3.1Megapixels(2048x1536); 5Megapixels
(2592x1944). Notethat 1.3Megapixels(1280x1024)isthedefault modesetting.
PressUPorDOWNkeytozoomINorzoomOUToftheimage.
