INTRODUCTION
For your safety, please read this manual
before using any lifting equipment
ensuring you fully understand its
operation and the safety procedures to
be observed. Ensure this manual is retained
for future reference and that new users of
this product read and understand the content
before they use the product.
SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
Failure to comply with these instructions can
cause serious injury and damage to the vehicle.
If you are in any way unsure, do not attempt
to use this product and consult a qualified
mechanic.
WARNING!
1. Read and understand instruction manuals
fully before use. Use only as specified.
2. Never overload these jack stands by
exceeding the rated safe working load.
3. Check vehicle owner’s manual for gross
vehicle weight.
4. Use no more than one pair of stands.
5. Ensure all body parts are kept clear of
the jack and vehicle when positioning and
removing the jack stands.
6. After lifting the vehicle, support
immediately with properly rated jack
stands.
7. Never work on or under a vehicle without
using properly rated jack stands.
8. Only use on solid, even and level ground
with the wheels chocked, the vehicle in
gear and its handbrake on.
9. Always ensure that the load is centred and
secure on the jack stand top saddle. Off
centre loads can become unstable and slip
resulting in possible damage or injury.
10. Ensure that each stand is securely located
under a strong, stable point on the vehicle:
consult the vehicle owner’s manual for
guidance.
11. Ensure vehicle jacking and support points
are in good, sound condition with no
corrosion etc.
12. Do not attempt to move or dolly the
vehicle whilst on the jack stands or jack.
13. Do not attempt to modify these jack
stands in any way.
14. Upper and lower columns to be used as a
pair as supplied.
15. Do not attempt to use if you suspect a
fault.
16. Do not start the vehicle in its raised
position.
17. Do not attempt to enter the vehicle and
ensure all passengers are out of the vehicle
when using this product.
18. Take care when using on a three-wheeled
vehicle or trailer.

Storage
Store stands in an upright position in a clean,
dry area.

PARTS OF THE JACK
STAND
Visual inspection should be made before each
use of the jack stands. Check for cracked welds
and damaged, lose or missing parts.
Any jack stands which appears to be damaged
in any way, found to be badly worn, operates
abnormally, or has been subjected to an
abnormal load or shock MUST NOT BE
USED.
MAINTENANCE
Periodically inspect each stand. Ensure all parts
move freely. Do not apply oil or grease to any

This item is covered by our three-year
Quality Guarantee. In the unlikely event that
it develops a fault within this period, we will
replace it.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
TO SUPPORT VEHICLE
1. Pull the upper column out from the lower
column.
2. Insert the locating pin through the holes in
both upper and lower columns.
3. Secure the locating pin by inserting the clip
pin into it.
4. Carefully position the jack stands so that
the load will contact the centre of the top
saddle.
5. Always use jack stands in pairs and only
on those parts of the vehicle which can
support the load. Please consult the
vehicle owner’s manual for the lift and
support points.
NOTE
The stands must only be positioned on a hard
level surface when operational. The rated load
of 2/3/6 Tonnes (TH52002C / TH53003E/
TH56002A) per pair must not be exceeded
under any circumstances. Centre load on the
top saddle. Use as a matched pair to support
one end of a vehicle only.
TO LOWER LOAD
1. Raise vehicle clear of stands.
2. Carefully lower the stands to lowest
position.
3. Remove stands then carefully lower
vehicle to the ground.
4. Ensure that all tools, equipment, and
personnel are clear of the vehicle before
lowering the load.

WARRANTY STATEMENT
JCB Power Tools are guaranteed against manufacturing defects
for up to 3 years from date of purchase
Warranty cover commences from the date of purchase on the retail sales receipt and is valid only
for JCB Tools products bearing the CE and UKCA mark and a visible serial number.
In the unlikely event your JCB Tool is subject to a manufacturing fault within the warranty period,
JCB Tools may repair the product by replacing defective parts free of charge at our discretion. In
the event parts are irreplaceable JCB Tools may replace your product free of charge. The original
product will remain the property of JCB Tools in this situation.
The above repair or replacement of products will be undertaken providing that:
m The product has been subject to fair wear and tear only.
m The product has not been subject to accidental or cosmetic damage.
m The product has not been misused and has been used only in accordance with the instruction
manual provided.
m The product has not been subject to overload or insufficient servicing and maintenance.
m The product has not been subject to any abnormal environmental conditions or inappropriate
operating conditions.
m Repairs have not been attempted by an unauthorised person and no modifications have been
made to the product.
m Repairs have not been undertaken using non-genuine spare parts.
JCB Tools used for Hire Fleets or as part of B2B and Service Contracts are not covered by these
terms and conditions.

JCB Tools 3 Year Warranty excludes the following (where applicable):
m Components normally subject to wear such as carbon brushes.
m Batteries, Chucks and Chargers.
m Accessories and consumable items.
m Cases and tool storage products.
If your product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, return it to the retailer where it was
purchased together with your sales receipt. If a product develops a fault after 30 days a warranty
claim must be submitted.
JCB TOOLS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURIES OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
RESULTING FROM USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
